Match End

While their fight is going on, the old couple shared different expressions on their faces. Chris felt excited that his grandchildren were truly powerful specially Skye and Dylan who showed exceptional strength and wisdom to fight the other party.

'Why isn't he doing anything?'. Jennifer felt irritated. She planned this match to see Arthur's skills but that person was just standing there like a statue. However, she really was surprised the performance of the others. Marty did not lie that they could win the upcoming city tournament even if the three brothers were the only fighters.

'Oh no'. Maybe the fighters did not notice but Jennifer saw a familiar shadow line encircling the space where the kids are fighting in. She judged that Arthur traced the charred lines produced by Dylan's fire skill and used it as a camouflage. The entire field looked like a spider web of shadow lines.

"Center". When the spider web is already in form, Arthur finally gave out a command. The twins quickly retreated towards Arthur and gathered enough mana for one last chance of attack.

"Gather around me. Ready your defenses". Alyssa still did not notice the spider web on their feet and was bewildered by their actions. However, she also retreated far away in reflex, and decided that if they could dodge the incoming skill, they had the chance to counter attack the weakened opponents, thus finally ending the fight.

If this was against the kids that they fought in the past, her decision might be the best. However, what happened next blew their minds.

She was sure they retreated far enough, but the next second they were already standing near the casting twins.

"Wind Prison" Skye casted a skill to lock them in place. They had no choice but to be squashed together.

"Fire Bomb". Dylan jumped and bombarded them. That spelled the end of the fight as the four lay there unconscious.

Marty was the first one to go check the four kids. Fortunately Dylan still powered down his attack because Alyssa and the others don't have serious burns. Arthur already gave him some healing potions before the fight even started so maybe this was expected.

"Atleast they are merciful enough but that combination really was unfair." Jennifer already knew the fight is over when she saw the completion of the shadow lines forming into spider web. Using the shadow movement to move others to a specific position is a neat way to do so, the subsequent skills are just overkill. As long as the opponents are inside that spider web, no one can escape unless they fly away.

What she did not know is that Arthur never used shadow movement, but Thea's active skill, Minor Teleportation. The shadow lines were just decoration to cover up the skill, so even if the opponents can fly up, as long as they are in range of Bolton's passive skill Hunter, their movement rests on Arthur's whim.

Seeing that the fight was over, Arthur finally decided to leave with his brothers.

"Wait, Arthur! Can you stay behind for a while? Dylan and Skye, please go on ahead."

Arthur and the twins nodded at their grandfather's request.

Christian also requested for Marty and the rest to get the four unconscious kids back home to rest, leaving the two behind to talk.

"Why did you not attack? Do you not see them as equal to you?"

Without an emotion on his face, Arthur just replied positively to the old man's question.

"Why is that so?"

"I might kill them. Even my weakest attack might ruin them for life."

"Then what do you think of us having a true battle of our own? I might not look like it, but I am Level2 Titan class myself."

"I know, I detected you the moment you entered the city. I already memorized all the powerful hybrids here, after all".

"Then do you agree?"

"I decline. A true battle only ends with the other party dying. I don't wanna kill you".

"Hahahaha, of course, of course. That is true. You can go now child."

Arthur gave a bow of respect to the old man before started walking away. He never imagined that his grandpa would asked for such thing but what he replied really was the truth.

Christian waited for Arthur to disappear before letting out a sigh. He took out a wine flask in his spatial ring and started drinking the whole thing in one go.

"Richard,my old friend, I think you already have someone to carry on your wishes".

Christian started to reminisce the days of glory he had shared with Richard Zell back when they are still young. After they graduated from the academy, they had a dream of going on a journey to hone their skills.

Unfortunately for them both, they lack the talent and opportunity to get stronger. They decided to go back home and start a business but they promised each other to train someone from the next generation to fulfill their dreams.

Arthur went back to his room and started to formulate what to do next.

He still needed to deliver some potions to Marty just as he promised disguised as the mysterious being. However, he is still contemplating what potion to brew.

Next is to investigate the auction houses. He tried to scan them everyday but their was still no movement from their side.

He was deep in thought when a series of knocking came from his door. He went to open the door and saw a maid waiting for him.

"Young master, your mother wanted to know if you are still busy. She requests your attendance for dinner."
