2 Human Kind
Arthur woke up fully revitalized. However, he was still very confused about his situation. Still, as long as he was kept alive by that monster, there is still hope that he can escape. But that chance was so miniscule that he was not optimistic, after all, he was still just a kid.
After setting aside his worries, he still gather up his courage and went out of the cave.
He saw the vampire titan again outside sitting at the same position on the pond. Breakfast was already prepared and he silently sat down and waited for the vampire titan.
Arthur waited for some time before the monster got up and headed towards the exact same spot opposite him last night.
"Eat." The monster finally spoke after tearing a big piece of meat and biting it ferociously.
Arthur silently ate his share and when he was done, he finally decided to ask some questions and he was scared to know the answers.
'What if he was just making me fat, then eat me later'. Dozen of disturbing ideas began to pop-up inside his mind.
He was about to ask his questions when the vampire titan stopped him and pointed towards the clean pond.
The vampire titan quickly went and sat down in the pond and stared back at Arthur. Noticing the monster's intention for him to join in the pond, he quickly went in without removing his clothes.
"Lord Saven". The vampire broke the silence and introduced itself.
"Arthur Zell." Arthur nodded and introduced himself back.
Lord Saven made a huge roar after hearing his name which startled Arthur so much that he tried to go out of the pond.
"Stop". Lord Saven uttered a word as if nothing happened. Arthur thought that he had done something wrong and quickly apologized before sitting back down.
The monster just closed it's eyes as a reply. Arthur felt anxious and he just quietly observed the monster.
After some time, a 6ft tall white wolf suddenly appeared behind Lord Saven and quickly made a gesture of lowering his head.
"Hello human, I am Rodan. First let me ask what kind of human are you?" The white wolf Rodan finally broke the silence.
Arthur knew that there are two kinds humans are classified. Mortals and Hybrids.
Mortals are humans who may or may not turn into hybrids just below the age of twenty. Mortals with age above twenty will have great difficulty turning into hybrids or just remain a mortal for the rest of their life.
Hybrids, on the other hand, are humans with the ability to use skill seeds. Skill seeds are different shaped and colored gems with abilities inside of it. Hybrids use skill seeds by 'planting' them on the hands, shoulders, head, thighs, feet and stomach.
Hybrids are separated into four groups. Naturals, Inheritors, Royalty and Agents.
Naturals are hybrids at birth. They have more potential to be powerful hybrids because they can familiarize themselves early on. They can only use one skill seed for every available part it can be planted. However, if there is a mutation, they can evolve into Royalty. Ability overload are rare for them.
Inheritors are mortals who turned themselves into hybrids by using inherited bloodlines either from a powerful family member or a powerful monster to awaken their potential. They can also use some kind of powerful potions to do the same result. Usually, inheritors can only use one type of skill seeds or they can also evolve into royalty hybrids depending on the potential of the mortal and the quality used to evolve.
Royalty hybrids can plant two or more skill seeds for every available part of the body as long as the skill seeds are compatible. They are usually short-lived people because of high possibility of power overload meaning that they are walking time bombs.
Agents are usually defective Inheritors or Royalty and injured Naturals can also be grouped here. Agents can only use some available parts of their body to 'plant' skill seeds.
"I am still a mortal. My family intends for me to be an Inheritor."
"Perfect". Rodan gave a vicious smile and Lord Saven started nodding.
"So your name is Arthur huh. You are very lucky and at the same time very unlucky for you to meet us."
"This pond is called Clear Heaven Pond. You can never find anything in this world better for awakening your potential. You can be sure that after you are changed, you can be classified to what humans call a royalty hybrid. Even after that, you can still use this pond to strengthen your mind and body to minimize having power overload in the future."
"We can also train you here and teach you things about us. We can also deliver you back to your home."
"Are you serious right now?" Arthur finally reacted to what this white wolf is saying. He was hell bent on going home and he finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
"Oh yeah, why the hell would we lie to you?"
"What's the benefit for you then? My father said that in business or any other transaction, if the deal is too good to be true, then there will always be a trap hiding in the shadows."
Arthur may have been a kid now, however, once he started reading and writing fluently, he was taught some things socially and financially by his father.
His parents are paranoid that this little kid woud be taken advantage of someday so prevention is needed. Not that Arthur can remember all of it though.
