If These Walls Could Talk 2: Brian

*R-18 Contains Adult situations and Explicit Sexual Content and Profanity* Not for readers 17 and under. **This is a sequel to If These Walls Could Talk, you could read this first but I highly suggest you read the first one. Just so you are not confused when certain events are referenced. Thanks :)** I watched my best friend fall in love with an amazing woman, a woman that I had wanted for myself before his feelings developed, but he didn't know. I can't be mad at anyone other than myself for not taking a chance when I had it. So instead of being upset about it, I'm going to be happy for them both, they're happy together and I could never betray either of them by destroying their happiness. I envy them still though, I hate feeling like this. Hopeless. I wish I could find my own partner, one that could satisfy my sexual desires just as much as my emotional desires. But what are the chances of that happening?

We had eyes on his location all right. The next day Lance found out exactly where he would park by our place to watch us come and go. We now knew how closely he followed my car, where he parked outside of my work and when he would leave to go to his offices and other places. We also knew that he had been stuck at the club for two hours after we had left.

After talking to Simon, we found out through Adam the guy had been strapped to the chair for thirty minutes before being escorted outside and told not to return. The guy had tried to defend himself but then the manager got involved who had been looking at the cameras footage and said from the view he had that it did indeed look like he was touching people by the way they reacted next to him and that he'd been videoed watching a certain area of the club the majority of the time he was there. Then the manager blacklisted him. Adam had told Simon that the manager watched him get into his car and start to back up but realized something was wrong and pulled back into the space. He got out and started cussing up a storm kicking his car before opening the trunk and struggled to get the spare on. When Adam was done for the night, he saw that he had ended up calling a tow truck to help attach the spare.

Brian and I exchanged devilish grins, knowing we caused him some hell after what he's put us through.

Now that we knew where he was doing his surveillance from and where he was exactly when he was following us, we knew how we could easily lose him. Lance also informed us that Marcus was being followed and monitored with Tori doing what she needed to in bugging his office. She was keeping her distance from everyone to make it seem like she was no longer interested in being acquainted with us. His friend who was investigating for us, under the guise of sharing friendly intel on a different case, bugged the office of the business that was following us.

We were excited to hear that and knew now it was just going to take time. So now we continued to make it look like we were not doing well. Brian would go out and after making sure he was not being followed, go look at houses that we wanted to purchase. I went to work and still worked with John on the apartments. We handled our business to the best of our abilities, but we would have a private discussion somewhere in the building, making sure we were close and quiet with what we would discuss.

From what he told me about Tori and her plans with Marcus, he was slowly letting little things slip up. She had all of her conversations with him recorded and would be sending the audio to the private investigator that Lance had hired. Now, it was a waiting game.

"I'm going to go back to work. I really shouldn't take off any more time." Brian told me as we were making dinner. He had been packing up things and moving them to storage for the time being, preparing in case we found a home we both liked.

"Okay babe, did you by chance look at the Preston Hollow listing? I really thought that house might be good for us."

"No, but I will. It's a little far from the office, but essentially we just be swapping commute time...." Brian trails off as he looks at the listing on his phone. He looks at me over the top of his phone. "I see why you like it. It has a fairytale story book charm to it." He grins at me, "I'll go look at it in person tomorrow if possible and let the office know I'll start work on Monday."

"Thank you baby." I smile at him and turn my attention back to the chicken I was cutting. I caught the smell of the chicken and it caused my stomach to painfully roll. I set down the knife and step back, lifting my arm to my lips, but that only brings the smell of the chicken on my hands closer. I feel the violent heave of my stomach and I rush to the trash can and start hurling my guts out.

"Oh Sarina! Honey, are you okay?" Brian rushes over to me, pulling my hair back out of my way as I continue to throw up.  Every time I breathe in though I can smell the chicken on my hands and it makes me continue till I'm dry heaving, nothing left in my stomach, I hurry to the sink and wash my hands, still gagging until I've washed my hands three times.

"Honey, here." Brian offers me a glass of water so I can rinse my mouth and spit.

"Thank you. I don't think I can finish doing the chicken."  My voice is hoarse and crackles, raw from all the stomach acid.

"That's fine. I'll finish it, sweetheart. Why don't you go lay on the couch. I'll bring you a trash can just in case. Do you want some thing to settle your stomach?" He offers, leading me to the living room.

I shake my head, "I don't know what I can take."

"Okay, I'll bring you some crackers to nibble on, so your stomach is not empty." He kisses my forehead and brings me some crackers before going to finish dinner.

I sit and nibble my crackers, trying to think of something other than my stomach, hoping for a way to catch Marcus up and get him back for him trying to destroy my marriage. I know if I was to show up at his office mad and upset accusing him, he'd probably smugly smile and stay quiet. He'd let me vent my rage and at the end try to play the nice guy and offer me comfort, saying whatever he thinks would convince me, he had nothing to do with it. Or he'd just shrug and tell me something to try and hurt me worse. He's always been the flip of a coin. Either way, he'd not let anything slip.

Bummed, I nibble on another cracker when there's a knock on the front door.

"I'll get it." I say making my way to the door. I open it and am surprised to see Jack, or Dr. Brown from the hospital there.

"Hey Jack, come on in. Brian is making dinner right now."  I step to the side, letting him come in.

He gives me a grim smile that doesn't meet his eyes, "Thank you, Sarina."

He has papers in his hands and goes directly to the kitchen.

"Brian, we need to talk." He says seriously as soon as he sees him.

"Hey Jack. Would you like a plate?" Brian asks, as he plates the food.

Jack sighs, "Brian, I'm here on some serious business."

Brian takes the plates to the table and motions for him to sit and pulls out the chair for me.

"Sit down Jack. Eat and tell me what's going on." He pulls out another glass and cutlery for him before taking a seat.

"Fine, but you need to know, you've had a serious complaint brought towards the medical board. They're going to start investigating you." Jack says, placing the papers in front of him.

"For what?" I ask, confused.

"For breach of ethics and abuse of a patient." Jack quickly says.

"What?" Even Brian looks confused. He pulls the papers towards him and starts looking through them.

"Apparently, you're being accused of showing special favor to a female patient, giving her your personal number to contact you outside of work. Hence, the breach of ethics. You're also accused of sleeping with two of your patients! Now, I'm going to stand by you and defend you as much as I am able to, but I need to know is any of that true?" He asks pointing at the papers.

Brian confused looks through the papers and finds a name and closes his eyes, his lips disappearing and his jaw juts out and up as he tenses. He lets out a deep breathe slowly.

"Yes, I had a breach of ethics with this patient. She was new to the city and had been asked on a date, but didn't have any one she felt could trust if her date ended up going south. I gave it to her as a just in case and it was a good thing too. She almost ended up getting drugged and raped that night." Brian grits out.

Jack nods and thinks for a second, "Okay, we can try to beat that because of the timelines and hospital records proving that right?"

Brian nods, "I can even give you the police report."

"That would be excellent. Now, what about the other two patients?" Jack asks.

Brian looks at the other papers and his face pales. He sets the papers to the side and covers his face.

"Oh shit, Brian!" Jack grits out.

I pull the papers over and look at them. I see the accusation of sexual abuse against Lirael.

"Abuse against Lirael? That's bullshit. She wouldn't file this complaint anyways, so how did these get filed?" I'm confused and a little pissed off.

Jack turns to me, "She doesn't have to. Apparently there is a witness that is saying that Brian took his patient to a sex club and disappeared into a room with her there. When she was still a patient."

"But that wasn't to have sex with her!" I quickly defend Brian, knowing the circumstances behind that.

"That will be harder to prove though." Jack points out.

"She's married to the man she had sex with there! It was a way to work through her trauma and Brian was there to make sure nothing bad happened to her!"

"They could twist that into he is perverted and into voyeurisms!" Jack is quick to respond.

"Lirael will tell them the truth of the matter!" I retort, getting upset.

"Okay and what about the other one?! The Victoria one?" Jack stands, becoming defensive.

"Victoria?" I pull the paperwork back over to me and look at the name.

Tori? It's saying he's had sex with Tori?

He's had sex with Tori. He never told me this.

My stomach turns again.
