Chapter 33

“Jason, I should be jealous of you, but we both love the same guy. He is amazing. Just so you know, I believe you didn’t kill yourself. I think someone else murdered you. I think it was because you discovered that he was ripping you off, big time. We’ll get this settled, I promise.”

Jason smiled and nodded. He looked like he wanted to speak, but decided to wait. He lowered his head, held his chin in his left hand, and then looked up at Martin with a smile. He knew his former lover and this man were right for each other.

Anthony called after the meeting had concluded. He was in his hotel room, lying on his bed, naked as the day he was born. He picked up his phone and dialled.

“What the fuck took you so long? I was dying here. Oh, I sure hope this is Anthony on the phone.” Martin sounded like he had a smug grin.

“Who else would be dumb enough to call you? You’re stubborn, childish, irritable, childish, hunky, childish, gorgeous—did I mention childish?”
