Immortals Rule

The atmosphere inside the sitting room has changed.

Both Jonathan and Black Rose seemed to be trapped in their own thoughts.

Black Rose's last question made Jonathan think hard.

Before the strange incident a few moments ago, Jonathan firmly believed that he was an ordinary human, born in a world Black Rose called the Mortal World.

The woman told Jonathan that three types of worlds work side by side.

Mortal World was a world of living humans, animals, and plants that tolerate each other.

Immortal World was the World of creatures believed or never believed to exist.

And the last was Spirit World, the last World for those who had finished living in the Mortal World.

"It is rare for a Morting to see us, Immortals, in our true form. But you can see me very easily." Black Rose was trying to find answers.

Jonathan looked back at the two green eyes.

Still couldn't believe that the beautiful woman was indeed from another world. Because her appearance really resembled an ordinary human.

Even the black dress she wore was the same as regular human dresses. It's just that no ordinary human could use magic. Except...

"Are you a witch?" Jonathan asked suddenly. An idea flashed in his mind.

Black Rose frowned her forehead. The expression on her face, which had always been flat and cold, suddenly turned a little creepy.

"Don't call me that!" she snapped displeasedly.

Jonathan was surprised by the woman's reaction.

"Ok. Ok. I am sorry. Didn't mean to offend you, really."

Even her attitude was the same as that of a woman from the human race. Very easily offended by something.

"So, you are a fairy, huh?" Jonathan tried to melt the atmosphere, which turned back into tension.

"Huh." Black Rose turned her head away while crossing her arms before her chest.

Jonathan just let out a long sigh.

"This might sound crazy, but I believe vampires, werewolves, and demons existed. But, fairies, I don't believe that –"

SNAP!

Black Rose quickly darted over and silenced Jonathan's mouth before he finished his sentence. Both of her eyes flashed with anger.

"Never say that words ever again." Black Rose hissed, downright furious.

Jonathan nodded very cautiously.

"Every time a Morting says such a word, one fairy dies."

The rules humans have heard in the human World about the existence of fairies were indeed valid.

Every time one person said out loud that they did not believe in the existence of fairies, one fairy would die.

Jonathan had heard of it.

"I am really sorry." Said Jonathan, feeling guilty.

Black Rose let him go and sat beside him, just under his feet.

While Jonathan was still sitting on the sofa.

The woman looked at Jonathan's eyes with a slight upturn.

A sight that reminded Jonathan of a position that made his mind shift.

"Hold on a sec. I thought that Immortal being could not die."

Jonathan frowned. Trying to clear the dirt in his mind.

"We die, too. Some Immortals get a chance to be reborn every time they get killed or die, but some will forever be gone. We don't have a place such as a Spirit World. But fairies … we never be able to reborn." explained Black Rose carefully.

Little by little, Jonathan began to understand the differences between beings from different worlds. But still, at this time, he began to question his status again.

"Morting that can see us in our true form normally come from a group who made a bound or blood contract with creatures from the darkness for power. They are the servants of The Absolute Evil. They were known to be witches, fortunetellers, and many more." Black Rose explained again in a intense tone.

"The Absolute Evil?" Jonathan repeated, saying it gave him chills, and he didn't know why. As if something very evil was contained in that title.

"He lived in the dark side of the Immortal World. The Absolute Evil has the ambition to destroy the natural bridge between the Mortal and Immortal Worlds. The most powerful Immortal being existed."

Jonathan swallowed his saliva. In his heart, he wished that he would never deal with that one immortal being.

"Tell me more about the Immortals." Jonathan suddenly became interested in finding out more.

Black Rose didn't mind sharing all the information she knew about Immortal with Jonathan, the parent of the toddler she was babysitting.

The Immortal World was inhabited by various types of creatures.

Starting from monster creatures, mythical creatures, creatures made from magic, demonic creatures, and many more.

Just like humans, they have personalities, beliefs, and even religions.

And just like Mortals, they formed a group.

The most famous group was the cult group The Absolute Evil, known as the Dark Side of Immortal World.

They came from various types of creatures who have decided to disobey and forget the natural purpose of why they live.

The Absolute Evil fanatics did not only live in the Immortal World because the Immortals related to The Absolute Evil got a unique ability that ordinary Immortals did not have.

They could quickly enter the Mortal World and appear before the Morting, showing off their existence.

For natural Immortals, not all creatures could go in and out of the Mortal World.

Also, revealing their true form before a Morting alone would require considerable energy that threatens their lives.

Jonathan looks serious. He learned the Immortal knowledge from a trusted source.

"So, the lady vampire was one of His followers?"

Black Rose nodded.

"Is she dead?" asked Jonathan expectantly.

Black Rose shook her head. "She escaped after she got her consciousness back."

"What?!" Jonathan clenched his fists in both hands, not accepting it.

He was convinced that the woman who brutally killed her mother had fallen motionless and dead. But ...

"To kill the vampire creature, you need to burn them before they get their consciousness back."

"I will kill her by my hands." Jonathan immediately had a goal that he really wanted to achieve.

His head suddenly felt hot, as if his brain was starting to boil because of the unstoppable emotion.

"Will you?" asked Black Rose, looking doubtful. One of her eyebrows was raised.

Jonathan stared at her, his jaw set, and he knew what he wanted so badly now.

He had never been this sure. "She deserves the worst way to die." He growled.

Black Rose knit her brows together.

"There is one important rule in Immortal World. We are not allowed to kill our creatures or nature will devour us. Fairies can't kill Fairies."

Jonathan still didn't understand Black Rose's explanation.

"You are not going to kill a vampire." Black Rose decided as she shook her head confidently.

"What – Why?"

"You sucked my blood, Jonathan!" Black Rose hissed.

"Stop pretending to be a Morting! Vampires don't kill vampires."
