The sight and sound of fingers snapping dragged Sawyer out of his thoughts. He glared for a second then glared even more thanks to the sudden return of the summer sun on his face. He turned to look at who had dared to snap at him. It was Kevin. “What’s wrong with you? Did you take something? Who gave it to you?” Keven started to look around.
Sawyer chuckled. “No.” He sat up in his deck chair. One of many occupied chairs in the pool party he was attending. Music playing, people in the pool, around the pool, inside the house… None of which is important. “I was just…” He trailed off.
“Uhh… okay. Well I’m going to meet Camila.”
“Oh okay. Sure.” He smiled. “You don’t need my permission.”
“Dude, who do you think you are? You just looked like you were out of it.”
“I wouldn’t think you just vanished.”
Kevin shook his head. “Forgive me then. I’m leaving.” He started to turn the wheelchair. “And try not to burn a hole through Gia and Tom.” Kevin chuckled.
