CHAPTER THREE
Kang Sooyoung. The original Kang Sooyoung was a beautiful girl who never knew her mother and had lost her father in an unfortunate car accident at the age of 8.
She was then sent to an orphanage as she didn't have any other living relatives and her father hadn't assigned a godparent before he died. The orphanage was not a horrible place. Their caretaker was very sweet and she truly loved children and the children received education from good schools.
Sooyoung didn't have a very special reason for being an idol. When she was 18 years old, straight out of the orphanage and she didn't know what to do she saw an interview with a very famous idol. Her smile was genuine and her face glowed when she talked about her career as an idol. Sooyoung wanted that. She wanted to glow and smile just like that. So she decided to pursue an idol's career.
Alas. The young girl was oblivious to what exactly she had to do. She spent a small portion of her inheritance which she got when she was 18 on a tiny apartment which was enough to accommodate one person. She didn't know where to start her career. Her previous caretaker from the orphanage was as oblivious as her and she didn't have any friends either to help her out with her style.
She truly wished that she could attain and achieve her dreams but it seemed to be impossible for her. Before she died, she wished something that may have been deemed as selfish and weird. Her last moments, she wished that someone else would take over her body like all those fantasy novels and achieve her dreams for her.
It would probably be fruitless, after all, reality can't possibly be as good as fiction. She knew that she was going to die. She didn't know why but she knew it was going to happen soon. She just wanted her soul to go to her beloved father and if possible her last wish to be fulfilled.

The present Sooyoung woke up extra early the next day to go for a run. She didn't have any proper athletic wear so she settled for her normal shoes, leggings and a loose shirt. After yesterday's treatment, her skin was softer and her so were her lips. Combined with the slight sweat she gained from running she looked like a sun-kissed glowing elf who caught the attention of many onlookers.
Her primary aim for today was to find a good agency and audition. Even if she had the talent it would be hard for her to get jobs without an agency so she figured she would do that first. From what she knew, Éclat Entertainment was conducting their national auditions next week. It was an open audition which was incredibly fortunate for Sooyoung. Now all she had to do was get ready for it.
In her previous life, there were 3 big agencies known as the big three. In this world, there are only two agencies which are at the top and both of them were sibling agencies which often collaborated with each other and shared the top position instead of competing. Lustre Entertainment which was founded by Cha Yerim and Éclat Entertainment which was founded by Cha Jieun who is better known as Lana. Twin sisters who decided to open separate agencies and rose to the top due to their amazing training programmes.
Éclat Entertainment conducted an open audition every year to get new trainees. Only two people were selected to be trainees at Éclat but 90% of their trainees are at the top of the industry.
They had an incredibly strict audition which lasts for two days. The first day consists of singing abilities and the second of dance. You have to get at least 19 out of 20 to be a part of Éclat.
Sooyoung was confident that with her voice she could get full points but it was her dance she was worried about. This body was not used to dancing so the only thing she could think of was to perfect one single choreography in the next 5 days and focus on that. And she knew the perfect choreography. In this world the music was similar to her previous world and so was the dance style. If she could use a choreography from her past life to a song here it would be perfect.
She knew that technically speaking she was cheating. But there was a reason she was re-born with her own memories and it's not like she planned to plagiarise the work of artists in her past life she just planned to take inspiration from it. All she had to do now was plan the perfect outfit and choreography and song for next week. She had exactly seven days to perfect everything starting today and she had to start now.
