"Hey. What are you doing here?"

Standing in front of Yang Ze, Yang Che was looking around curiously. Last night after going their separate ways, he didn't think that Yang Ze would come to this shabby place. One look from the outside and even the servants won't bother to live here.

"Hmm? What do you mean by that? I live here." Yang Ze who was still somewhat asleep replied in a tone full of annoyance.

"No way." Yang Che looked at him in disbelief. For the second young master of the Yang family to live in a place where even the servants won't live; was perhaps the biggest joke he heard after his arrival in this city.

"Why are you here this early?"

"EARLY? How long do you intend to sleep? It is already noon outside and you are still saying it's EARLY?"

"WAKE UP."

"Fuck, what are you, my mother?" Yang Ze who was now fully awake cursed in a low voice.

"Let's go. Let's meet other people."

Looking at Yang Che who was jumping with excitement, Yang Ze sighed helplessly before washing his face and walking out with him. Perhaps, he could find some martial arts out in the market or exchange them.

With these thoughts, he was no longer unwilling to go outside.

Walking through the street, Yang Ze saw rows and rows of people walking around. Some were shopping, some were just admiring the view while others were looking for places to stay. Compared to the chaotic outer circle, the atmosphere here was serene.

"What the hell is that?" Looking at the pavilion that was decorated with colorful ribbons and flowers, Yang Ze stopped in his steps. He clearly remembered that the last time he went through this place, there was no such building.

"Oh, this?" Listening to Yang Ze, Yang Che stopped in his tracks. "Let's find out."

With a smile, he pulled Yang Ze with him towards the pavilion.

...

"Welcome to the Numinous Pavilion. How may I help you?"

As soon as they entered the pavilion, they were greeted by a sweet sound.

"This... Can you tell us what this place is?" Looking at the young woman, Yang Che gave a confident smile.

"Huh?" The woman was stunned for a moment. After taking a good look at both of them, she nodded her head.

"I presume you are new here." Though Yang Che was wearing ordinary clothes, she didn't dare to belittle him. After all, someone who can roam the inner circle of the city definitely has some background.

"This place is called Numinous Pavilion, and here we deal with all kinds of resources, weapons, martial arts, and secret arts." With pride on her face, she raised her head a little before speaking further.

"We have a saying here 'If you can not find it in Numinous Pavilion, then chances are, you can not find it anywhere else'."

Yang Ze who was standing on the side suddenly looked at the lady with bright eyes. Right now what he needed most were the different martial arts. It would be best if he could get them from here.

"Can you show us some martial arts?" Yang Ze was the one to speak this time.

"Please... Follow me." After going through the hall, the three of them arrived at the small room located at the corner of the pavilion.

"There is usually little to no demand for Martial Arts here. We deal mainly in resources like precious herbs and minerals. You can look at the Martial Arts here, and if you make a decision, please be sure to let me know. You will be able to find me at my position." With a professional smile, she took her leave; leaving both Yang Ze and Yang Che standing there.

"Why are you interested in Martial Arts now?" Yang Che was looking at him intently. He was already famous in the entire Yang family for being a waste, there was no reason for him to pursue the martial arts since he couldn't practice.

It was at this moment, that Yang Ze realized he had Yang Che with him too. In his excitement about finding martial arts, he almost forgot about this guy.

"Just looking for something that can be practiced easily. Who knows maybe I can find something suitable for myself." Giving a hollow laugh, Yang Ze moved his eyes to the slip that was placed there.

'Vajra Body: An exercise built especially for the defense.'

'Price: 25 Spirit Stones'

'Nomad Fighting Technique: A fighting technique involving fists and kicks.'

'Price: 20 Spirit Stones'

'Willow Walk: A movement technique.'

'Price: 25 Spirit stones.'

....

Looking at the list, Yang Ze was stunned for a long time. He thought he would see the Martial Arts tomes directly. In this way, he doesn't need to spend any money on them. Now looks like this idea was far too fetched.

With a sigh, Yang Ze walked back to the receptionist.

"Why don't you guys keep the martial arts tomes there instead of the list with their names and prices?"

"Oh!" The receptionist paused for a moment before replying with a smile. "It is to prevent the people with extraordinary memory to take advantage of it."

"You see, years ago, there was this person who could remember everything after glancing at it once. He copied all the martial arts and secret techniques from different places before selling them as his own."

"Since then, every major seller has decided to keep a list with the price on it."

"I see." Nodding his head, Yang Ze was already cursing that person in his mind. If not for him, life would have been so much easier.

"So... Do you want to buy any martial arts?"

Looking at her bright eyes, Yang Ze sighed before shaking his head. Even after 'borrowing' spirit stones from the Hua family, he only had 40, they too were spent on upgrading the system space and the plug-in itself.

'Wait a minute.' Suddenly his eyes moved to Yang Che who was looking at bottles of medicines there.

Perhaps feeling his gaze, Yang Che shuddered for a moment before shaking his head. "I don't have that many spirit stones."

His reply was simple yet irrefutable. What a joke, if he had that many spirit stones, he would have spent them on the resources instead of martial arts. One had to know that martial arts take years upon years of practicing, but even then there is no guarantee that you will definitely become an expert in it.

"Forget it." With a sullen face, Yang Ze walked out of the pavilion.

"Ah. You can go ahead, I need to see if there is something that is of help to me." Yang Che's voice echoed for a moment before his figure disappeared too.

Other than the martial arts, Yang Ze wasn't too interested in any other thing. Those resources which are precious to others are completely worthless to him.

Wandering around the city, Yang Ze didn't have a particular place to visit. After spending some time in the city, he made his way back home. He was never a fan of crowded places.

By the time he reached home, there was already a figure waiting for him.

"Second young master."

Looking at the old man bowing to him, Yang Ze smiled slightly.

"Old Xie."

Old Xie smiled at the young man in front of him before asking in a concerned tone.

"How have you been second young master?"

"Good."

Both of them went silent for a long time.

"Second young master, your father has called for you."

"Huh?" Yang Ze frowned for a moment. The last time they parted, there was no intention of any further contact from both sides. Even the invitation he got was just a formality. Now that he is suddenly asking for him, Yang Ze felt like something was not quite right.

"Do I really need to go?"

"Second Young Master... PLEASE."

Looking at the old Xie who was getting anxious, Yang Ze gave a short laugh before speaking "Fine, fine. There's no need to be so dramatic. Let's go."

Breathing a sigh of relief, old Xie respectfully signaled him to follow him before walking towards the main manor.
