Chapter 161: Sleep

The medication must be working well because Yi Fei was sleeping for a long time. By the time she opened her eyes, it was already dark outside.

Wu Chen was reading a document beside her. He was sitting on the bed while resting his back on the headboard.

"Hello, handsome." Yi Fei raised her brows in a flirty manner. It's not every day that she gets to wake up with a handsome man beside her.

Yi Fei did not make any attempt to stand or to move away from her gaze at the handsome man beside her. She was staring blatantly towards her future husband because she can. Wu Chen looked at Yi Fei but didn't say anything.

When her greeting was left unanswered, Yi Fei did not get angry. Instead, Yi Fei made her monologue, and she said it out loud.

"Oh, hello beautiful. You look so beautiful when you woke up" Yi Fei spoke in a low voice resembling a Wu Chen.

"Oh, this is how I normally look like. Hashtag – I woke up like this." Yi Fei spoke again in her normal voice.

Yi Fei wanted to continue her monologue, but this time, Wu Chen spoke for himself. "The first time I saw you were waking up in the morning would when you were still in a dress, your hair reeked of hairspray and your makeup melted, so you look like a panda."

The memories flooded Yi Fei's head, and she didn't want to continue having a conversation with Wu Chen. Feeling that she'll lose if she gets on with the conversation, Yi Fei changed the topic, but Wu Chen still noticed her pouty lip.

"Why are you here? You should be next door by now."

Wu Chen laughed because Yi Fei was trying to get rid of him in his own house. He leaned closer to Yi Fei and kissed her so that she won't pout anymore. "You cannot banish me from our room" Wu Chen let go of her lip and caressed her hair. One of his hands was holding a document.

"Also, I already ask the caretaker to go home. She'll only be responsible for you during the day." Wu Chen read the document on his hand. "John is here, and NaNa is probably with Ah Jun."

As the name John was mentioned, Yi Fei's eye lighted up and she tried to stand up by herself. Having John to entertain her at this moment would be fun. Wu Chen lifted Yi Fei and put her on the wheelchair. Then, Wu Chen pushed the wheelchairs to the living room.

In the living room, there were three people; the energetic John, a very happy NaNa and a sullen-looking Jun Liu. They were playing card. Even though NaNa and Jun Liu was a couple, but it seemed like, Jun Liu was the third wheel between NaNa and John.

"Johnny ma brother!" Yi Fei squealed excitedly.

John turned his head towards the direction of the voice, and when he saw Yi Fei in the wheelchair, a flash of sadness could be seen in his eyes. Yi Fei's parents told him over the phone about the things happened to Yi Fei, so he took a few days off from work to check on her.

He was told that Yi Fei was alright, and only her hands and legs were injured but seeing Yi Fei had her hands and legs wrapped up in bandages, John was sad. But John knew that if Yi Fei saw him being sad, she will be sad too. So, John erased all trace of sadness from his voice and face and treated Yi Fei like he usually did.

'Honey, come here. You sit here and let me win." John patted at the empty seat next to him. "Hah! Prepare yourself. Yi Fei is my lucky charm. I am always lucky when she is with me" John threw a card to the table in a manner like 'take that bit*h' because he thought that he was cool like that.

Seeing that Yi Fei had taken John's interest, Jun Liu felt that he could breathe easier compared to when there were only three of them. Even though Ying Yue told him that John is only interested in men, seeing how NaNa was super comfortable with John doesn't sit well with him.

True to his words earlier, John won the game. Playing Cheat with NaNa and Jun Liu was much more comfortable when Yi Fei was with him. John turned to look at Wu Chen at the dinner table. Another guy will take care of Yi Fei in the future. John wanted to spoil this sister of his a quite some time, but he guessed he wouldn't have that much chance in the future. Since Wu Chen is a man who has everything, John was pretty sure that Yi Fei is in right hand.

John didn't want to waste any moment to tease Yi Fei. "Honey, what did you do in the room with Wu Chen just now?" John whispered to Yi Fei's ear. He knew that the couple was engaged. At the same time, John also knew that Yi Fei's parents are not fond of sex before marriage. "Did you two do THAT?"

John was whispering so that the topic of their conversation was secret and not known by the other people inside the room but Yi Fei had to be dramatic and exposed the whole thing. John wanted to knock her head.

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" Yi Fei was talking dramatically. "THAT. THAT WHAT?" I don't know what you are talking about. I'm only sleeping" Yi Fei was waving her hands dramatically like she was stunned.

Jun Liu smirked. Wu Chen turned his head toward the crowd and John smacked his head. Meanwhile, NaNa had a blank look on her face.

"I'm just asking. Why do you have to be so surprised and suddenly talk so loud?" John talked louder than Yi Fei. He was also waving his hands to prove his point.

"Why are you surprised and even talk louder too?" Yi Fei talked even louder than John.

"You talked even louder than me" John talked even louder.

Wu Chen came towards the troublesome duo. If he did not stop them from talking, the whole building would hear their voice trying to accuse each other of talking even louder. "It's late, Fei Fei needs to rest. John can sleep in Ah Jun's house."

Jun Liu had been quiet the whole time, but when Wu Chen announced the news, he was devastated. Jun Liu couldn't stand John.

"The ladies get your house, so you are sleeping in my house. That's the arrangement." Jun Liu didn't want to be evident in his way to reject having John in his house.

"I want to take care of my fiancee, so you have a spare room unless you want to abandon your house and sleep with NaNa, which you obviously can't since I'm going to kill you. So, pick one. "Wu Chen started pushing Yi Fei's wheelchair; signaling that he was done with the conversation.

Someone was utterly shocked. "Wait. Wait. You two are together?" John was pointing fingers towards NaNa and Jun Liu. No wonder he felt that Jun Liu was eyeing him with cold malicious aura when he casually touched NaNa.

Jun Liu gave John side eyes. John had an idea.

"It's okay. I can sleep here. I already sleep in the girls' house a few times" John was trying to stir Jun Liu up. He purposely didn't finish his line. He slept in Yi Fei's apartment a few times before, but he was asleep on the couch.

"Let's go" Jun Liu gestured to John to follow him to his house next door. That was quick. Wu Chen thought that Jun Liu would question him. Jun Liu started to walk with John behind him.

NaNa went to Jun Liu and whispered to his ear. "Be careful. Lock your room".
