I heard someone suddenly get up so I quickly closed my eyes acting as if I was sound asleep. Whoever this person was, they were walking towards my area. Suddenly the person stopped walking and was strangely hovering over me.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're a bad actor? Gabriela, I can see your eyes twitching." The person whispered, laughing. I assumed it was Theo.

I opened one eye peering at Theo.

"Actually yes, my imaginary friends," I whispered sarcastically while sitting up to face him, "what are you doing up?"

"I'm not tired and I wanted to ask you something."

"And that is...?"

"Would you like to go on a night stroll with me, princess?" He asked stretching out his hand.

I took his hand as in yes, letting him lead the way.

"So what have you planned tonight?" I nudged Theo, breaking the silence.

"I didn't plan anything, really. I'm just making stuff up as we go."

"I have an idea. Can you climb trees?"

"I'm sorry, can I what?"

"Climb trees."

"Well I never done it before so I guess not."

"Follow me."

I walked up to the nearest tree and climbed it.

"You coming up, Theo?"

"Yeah, I'm coming."

After what seems like forever, Theo finally made it up.

"You do know, you could've fly me up right?" Theo asked breathless.

"I know, but I wanted you to experience this."

"I can tell you do this a lot." He smirked.

"Yeah, it helps me take my mind off of things."

"This reminds me of a time when my dad used to take me camping every year in the summer when I was younger. And every night he would take me to an open area, lay down on the grass and count the stars. He would also make me laugh with his weird dad jokes and make funny impressions of my mom." Theo said staring at the sky.

I caught a glimpse of a tear rolling down the edge of his cheeks as he spoke. By how Theo was speaking, I figured Theo's dad passed away.

Without thinking I asked, "he's gone, isn't he?"

"Yeah, he's gone."

"I'm so sorry, Theo." I squeezed his hand for comfort.

"Thanks. Look, I didn't want to bring you out here to talk about depressing crap. I just thought we could hangout, like a normal day and forget about the whole, Alex chaos. I saw how pale your face was when we were underground. So Mr. Fun guy is here to change that!" Theo frown turned into a smile.

"I'm starting to think that you actually planned this, Mr. Fun guy." I shot back a smirk.

"Maybe a little."

Theo and I decided to head back to explore the rest of the mountain.

While we walked, Theo told me stories about how him and Luna would light up the dance floor with their crazy dance moves at every holiday party they had at school.

Theo kept talking about his family and drama at school for about ten minutes. I didn't really mind, for all I knew I was laughing along with him.

"My bad. Your probably bored from my talking, huh?" Theo asked after a while.

"No, not at all. It's a way to get to know you better."

"Enough of me then. Tell me about you."

"Um... well there isn't much. I pretty much spend all day in my shack. However sometimes I, as you know walk around the neighbourhood to get stuff off my mind. I would also spend most of my time at the library. So basically that's all I ever did." I said staring at the ground and tugging at my arms.

Theo noticed and grabbed my arms.

"Why, Gabriela? Why do you cut yourself? Just because your life wasn't the best, doesn't mean you needed to end it. I noticed on the first day I met you but I didn't want to say anything."

"I-I don't know. I guess I was tired, tired of being alone. Tired of get picked on. But I kept telling myself things might get better, as I grow." I held back a sob.

"And look where that is now." Theo smiled.

"I do now."

We stood there for five minutes before Theo said,

"There's one more thing I want to ask you."

"Go right ahead."

Theo face flushed with colour as he said, "will, um you consider this a date? I figured we won't be home for a while and I think this is the only chance I will get. So will you be my date?"

I felt my face hot and my mind felt like it was about to explode as Theo left those words out of his mouth. I didn't have that much experience with dating, except for the books I read in the library.

I just blankly stared at Theo not knowing what to say.

"You can say no, you know." Theo said, nervously after breaking my lost of thought.

"No, I would love to be your date"

"Ok. You don't know how long I wanted to get those words out of my head." Theo awkwardly laughed, "shall we, princess?" Gesturing a hand.

"Where?" I asked, and took his hand.

"Well there's a forest up ahead, wanna check it out?"

"Sure."

Theo and I explored the forest, hand in hand. To be honest I thought one of Alex's guards would be hiding somewhere. Ready to attack. But the night was quiet. Not a sound. Except for when Theo tripped on a tree root and fell. Which I found really hilarious.

After minutes past, Theo and I decided to head back.

"I had really fun tonight." I smiled, as we were about to reach the camp area.

"I'm glad you did. Once this is all over, I could take you to one of my favourite place. Trust me you'll love it."

"I'm positive I will."

Then as I was about to head to the camp, Theo caught my arm and pulled me towards him. At that moment I already figured what he was about to do. We were so close together, that I could feel Theo's heartbeat beating.

Then, unexpectedly, Theo started to lean in closer and gently planted his lips on mine.

Electric shocks began to flow through my body as Theo ran his fingers through my hair.

Theo slowly pulled away while looking into my eyes after what seems like forever.

"W-we um should probably get some sleep before Twilight has a tantrum in the morning." I spoke, flushed with embarrassment.

"As you wish, princess." Theo smirked.
