We left Alex's hideout and went back to the palace. I still couldn't understand why Alex didn't see any of this, although he was there in the beginning, yelling at the guards to stop playing cards and get to work. He's up to something. I know he is.

Minutes being in the air, and we arrived at the palace. The palace seems kinda quiet. Too quiet, I could hear a pin drop.

"What happened around here? Where is everyone?" Jason asked.

"I don't know," Twilight replied.

Darkness started to roll in and thunder growled.

"You finally arrived." a deep voice echoed in the sky, which sounds like Alex.

"I knew he was planning something," I mumbled to myself.

"Where is everyone? Where did you take them?" Twilight asked.

"Somewhere that's away from the damage I'm going to make to you all!" Alex replied happily.

"You? Destroy us? You don't have any powers." Lucas called out.

"Have you lost your mind kid? I have all the powers you can think of with the royal stone!"

"You mean this" I shouted, holding us the royal stone out in front of him.

"You little mouse," Alex began to laugh. Now I'm scared. "You must've stolen that from my closet, haven't you."

"Yes, why?"

"That's the wrong one. Since the royal stone doesn't work on "non-royals," I had my lab workers remake it so it will work on me and my guards."

"Uh. what do we do now?" Luna asked.

"Hold on, this stone was glowing when Twilight found it. How could it not be the real one?" Theo wondered.

"I don't know. We have to take it to the lab, hopefully some guardians are still in there." Twilight responded.

"And quick." I blurted.

"Maybe one person should go, while the rest deal with Alex." Luna suggested.

"Ok, who's going."

"I guess I'll go." Theo offered.

"Take this to the lab, and if no ones there then..." Twilight said.

"And take Isabella with you too. I don't want her seeing this." I suggested.

"I can handle it. I got an A in science and I'll keep Isabella safe."

"Whatever you say, kiddo. The lab is in the basement."

"On it. Be safe." Theo called running inside the palace with Isabella in his free hand.

"Well, good luck getting the stone to work, cause it's never gonna happen." Alex said with laughter.

"We'll see." I said.

"Your big of a talker aren't you, mouse"

"You can say that."

"Guards! Charge!" Alex growled.

Great another fight.

"This is gonna get messy." Jason said.

"Weapons up!" Twilight demand to the guards as well as us, "position, and charge!"

Alex charged to the palace guards and the palace guards charged to Alex's guards.

Swords clinged to one another and there was some yelling and screams in the background.

I had two guards by my side, protecting me. Luna, Lucas, and Noah also had two by their sides.

Minutes later of fighting and as the blood scattered, Theo finally came back with the stone glowing bright blue and active.

I caught Jason saying something to him and he ran back inside.

What did Jason say?

Seconds past and Theo again came running out of the palace, without the stone.

I started to feel something crawl up my spine. I caught a glance at Noah and he nodded at me.

Maybe he's feeling the same way. Maybe it's the Royal stone connecting to us. But how are we going to use it if we don't know how to control our powers.

I looked down at my hands and saw that they were glowing, however not fully glowing, blinking dim.

"Guards? Why are my hands blinking light?"

The guards looked at each other and called Twilight.

Twilight came rushing towards me.

"Are your hands blinking?" Twilight said.

"Yes why?" I said.

"Because the stone is connected to you and probably Noah's too."

"But I don't know how to use my powers."

"You will learn, trust me."

"But..."

"Trust me."

Twilight went back to where she was fighting and I was left alone with the guards.
