Light Dragon (3)

'Good morning Kuroma-san, Hikari-san. Let's head down the mountain and get the Dragon Blade'.

They went down after a little breakfast. After getting the blade they need to go back up again. Hikari lamented it. She still wants to see the ritual is done though.

Finally, the cavern hall where the dragon blade stood pierced in the center of the altar.

Kuroma went ahead and touch it, but nothing happens. He touched the edge of the blade, trying to see if it's sharp. His finger is pricked a little letting a drop of blood fell down the edge of the sword into the altar.

The markings around it suddenly glows red!

But there's nothing else happening.

'The blade can be taken now, I think'.

Kuroma went ahead and pull the blade out easily. But soon after, the whole area shakes violently, as if an earthquake is happening. The source is definitely Mount Koryu!

Once the shaking stops, Shou immediately ask everyone to move.

"Lets go up the mountain quick before someone else comes!".

They hurriedly climb the mountain and enters the entrance behind the waterfall. But what greets them are weird looking humanoid creatures! They waste no time and immediately attacked them!

Hikari screamed a little and hide behind his brother. Shou and Kurama worked together to defeat them.

"I don't get it. You two are from Ryu Clan so they shouldn't attack you at least, right? Unless... These were sent by the dragons to prevent us from sealing them or use their power, I think...".

Shou said his theory.

'Make sense'. Kuroma replied shortly.

They defeat the little humanoid clay monster as they reached the first location where there's magma flowing everywhere.

A red dragon stood in a pool of lava menacingly!

It shoots fire ball towards them!

Shou made an ice wall blocking it quickly.

"Kuroma-san! I need the Dragon Blade to take its essence. You two should stay back. I can handle it alone".

Kuroma thought about it. Perhaps Shou would perish and he can take the power himself later and let him be. He passed the dragon blade and retreated to the side.

Shou held the dragon blade, feeling a special power in it.

The fire dragon spewed more fireballs but Shou Ice Wall block them easily each time.

With hand signs, he used his signature technique-

Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystal!

Multiple mirrors formed in circular formation around the dragon.

Myriad Demonic Strike!

With his light speed, Shou move from mirror to mirror quickly, each time he slashes the red dragon with the Dragon Blade!

The red dragon visibly gets weaker and eventually, it's forehead glowed a little!

"That's the reverse scale!". Shou felt the Dragon Blade filled with an intense power, as if it wants to pierce through that scale.

Shou formed a mirror right in front of the dragon forehead, and directly rush out and pierce it there!

Red chakra exploded out from its forehead and absorbed into the blade. A red orb, the fire essence, is formed at the base of the blade at the circular space.

The dragon collapsed right after, as if it lost all of its power.

"Whew". Shou took a deep breath in and out.

Thankfully the dragon attacks are slow and easily dodged.

Hearing the battle stopped, Hikari and Kuroma went to see Shou and the collapsed red dragon.

"So this is a dragon". Hikari and Kuroma observed. The dragon is breathing and felt alive. It's just out of power.

Shou held the dragon blade and felt he can use the fire essence. A fiery hot power is drawed out from the blade, fire element explodes! So cool!

"Let's get the water dragon next...". Shou thought about the elemental weakness and this is the right thing to do to save up his chakra.

He went and defeated the next 4 dragons and get all their essences.

"Ha... I am so tired...". Shou stretched a little and swallowed some pills to restore his chakra.

The humanoid monsters also stopped spawning after he defeated the 5th dragon, making it easier to go to the ritual hall.

'Lets proceed quick. I am afraid some people have noticed something is going on'.

[Akatsuki Base]

Nagato received information regarding an earthquake around Mount Koryu from his spies. As someone who wants to destroy the world, he had learned about it's legends previously. And he learned from one of the descendant of the Ryu clan of its legend of the Light dragon that have power to destroy the world. Naturally, he is interested to know about it since a weapon of mass destruction can create peace.

Nagato quickly held a meeting for the Akatsuki. Projections of themselves stood on the Gedo Statue one by one as the members enters the chat room.

"Leader, what's the matter with the sudden meeting. I was taking a dump!". Tobi asked cheerfully.

'Shut up Tobi! Be more serious!'. Deidara scolded him.

"Listen. Anyone near North of Land of Fire, I need you to investigate it. Deidara, Tobi, you two are close weren't you".

'Ehhh? Is there no one else?'. Tobi fiddled his fingers, as if saying he don't want to do it (cutely).

"Tobi! It's just investigating. It shouldn't be much. Let's go!".

Deidara projection instantly dissappears.

'Yes Deidara senpai! I am going!'. Tobi projection dissappears after.

The meeting is adjourned. Tobi and Deidara prepared themselves quite leisurely and use a clay bird to fly to Mount Koryu.

"People might come here after. We need to go fast and complete the ritual ASAP afterwards".

The dragon fights are kind of boring since Shou is simply too fast to be hit and the Dragon Blade is like the bane of their existences making everything goes smoothly.

The three of them went to the Ritual Hall and placed all the 5 Nature essence at the 5 short altar. Shou stood in the middle, ready to receive the power of the Light Dragon!

"Let's start!".

Kuroma nods and weaved the hand seals required. He slammed his hand on the ground;

"Secret Technique: Dragon Binding!".

'Hmm??'. Shou haven't processed it yet and somehow 5 dragons of different colours went to tie him up and push him aside!

Shou was wiggling like worm at the side, calling out to him, while Kuroma ignored him and stood in the middle of the altar.

"Kuroma-san! Kuroma-san!!! Why are you doing this(⁠ ⁠≧⁠Д⁠≦⁠)!?".

'Nii-san! Stop! What are you doing!?'.

"Hikari. The world has been cruel to us. And it's time for us to get our revenge. This world, does not need to be saved!".

'Nii-san!!!'.

"Secret Technique: True Dragon Essence Sealing Technique!". Kuroma weaved hand signs and slammed the ground! The symbols lights up, the whole hall vibrated! 5 nature chakra is absorbed into his body, powering him!

"Haha. Hahaha! This is the power of the Light Dragon!".

'Nii-san! Please! Why would you do this...'.

"Hikari. Those people need to learn a lesson. With this power, no one can stop us".

'Nii-san...'. Hikari cries out tears, not believing his brother had gone crazy.

"Kuroma-san! You would become enemies with many strong people! You shouldn't do this! Hikari does not want you to do this! She just wants to live peacefully with you! That's all she wanted!". Shou screamed out while still wiggling out. He released ice nature chakra all over his body to freeze the chakra binding him at the same time.

'Hahaha. Yes. We will live a peaceful life after I destroy those who had hurt her. Why, are you stopping me?'.

Hikari cried again.

"Nii-san... Please stop... I don't want you to hurt anyone. Nii-san...".

'Hikari. You don't have to worry. Once I am done with everyone, I will stop'.

"... Shou-san... Please, please stop my brother...".

Shou had already broke the bindings.

"Kuroma-san. You shouldn't do this. Hikari don't want you to do this. Please reconsider".

'What do you know? People have treated us like monsters our whole life. It's time for them to know what true monster is!'.

"Kuroma-san. If you can't change your mind, I will have to stop you then...".

Shou draw the Dragon Blade and channel his chakra. The chakra coats the dragon blade and extended its length.

'With my power, you can't possibly stop me!'.

Kuroma use one of his element tag and activates it!

Lighting Release: Thunder Storm!

5 thunder bolts shoot up from the roof right in front of Shou! And then another 5 shoots down, and another 5!

Shou used Wind Release: Body Flicker to dodge quickly avoiding it barely.

'Hahahaha! This is power!'. Kuroma is drunk with his newfound power. Some white coloured chakra is seen flowing around him, seemingly boosting him.

"Kuroma-san. I will have to get serious...".

Ice Release: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystal!

Dome of ice mirror covered Kuroma.

'Hah. I have seen your tricks!'.

Fire Release: Great Fire Wall!

Kuroma release a Fire Tag, causing all the mirrors to be devoured by flames all at once while protecting Kuroma!

"Damn... He's smart".

Ice Release: Ice Armament!

Shou covered himself up with ice fully.

Demonic Myriad Strike!

Shou ignored the fire completely. The mirror is only halfway melted and can still be used, he can't waste chakra while it's there!

Shou immediately slashed him using the Dragon Blade, only scratching him but the effect is better than anticipated!

"Ahh!". Kuroma screamed out and was sent flying being touched by the blade chakra. The flame wall was dispersed right after aswell.

'My power... That blade!'.

Kuroma felt stupid to not realise it. That blade is something that counters his power!

"Kuroma. You can't win. I have this blade with me".

'This can't be!'. Kuroma struggled while using more and more tags that's powered up by his chakra!

Shou however skillfully dodges them with Ice Mirrors and take chances to slash him with the Dragon Blade again and again.

But-

Just as Shou was about to slash him another time, suddenly he poofed into smoke!

"He can use substitution technique!?". He never seen it after slashing him many times he thought he couldn't!

'I got you!'.

Kuroma dashed with his body flicker at the right moment Shou was caught of guard!

Kuh! He was sent flying by the kick, the Dragon Blade fell into his Kuroma's arm!

'Hahaha! This blade... Yes... This blade may be my nemesis. But it's stronger in my hands!'.

He channeled his chakra into it, causing the chakra blade to lengthen another few metres!

'Die!'.

The whole saber blade turned red and extended until it even pierces the roof! He slashed it down to dissect Shou!

Shou flickered away again dodging it. The floor left a deep sword mark from being cut!

"Nii-san! Stop! Don't kill him! Please stop!".

Hikari cried again seeing his brother is really serious. If, if that had hit him he would have died... Why his brother is like this... Wuuuu...

Shou felt a little tense now. He don't want to hurt Kuroma, much less kill him so he can't afford to use any lethal technique...

Wait. He does have that!

Unseal - Azusa Bow!

The mark in his left hand glowed with hints of pink, an ethereal bow appears in his left hand and turned solid, a wooden bow with a unique carved rectangular shape in the middle appeared.

'Hahahaha. What does a bow do?'. Kuroma sneered and slashed with the dragon blade again.

With one hand, Shou used Demonic Mirrors and dodged it fast.

'This technique again! And one handed seal...'. Kuroma is annoyed and surprised at the same time.

Shou channel his chakra and forms a chakra arrow. Moving to his blind spot, he shoots it out of the mirror!

Fwoosh~

Kuroma turned and sensed it. He tried to sidestep it but it's too fast and manage to hit his shoulder!

"Arghhhh!!!". Kuroma stumbled backward and fell down while crying in pain.

"That hurts! S***!*. Kuroma was sweating profusely after being hit. He felt his body is only a little nudged physically, but someone it's as if his soul was hit! It hurts so much it felt like it even reached deep inside his bone! Strangely his chakra is also reduced a little! After all, the bow deals spiritual damage! Chakra is made up of physical and spiritual energy, and therefore, having one's spirit attacked reduce their energy and therefore their chakra.

Kuroma gritted his teeth. He throw more elemental tags, sending Fire Balls, Lighting Bolts, Water Bullets, Wind Cutters, Earth Spikes, but Shou easily create more mirrors if one is destroyed and keep dodging easily. Why is he so fast!?

At the same time Kuroma only manage to dodge half of the arrows and was hit again and again.

He finally fell to his knees as all of his energy drained. Not to mention the gut wrenching pain being hit by the strange chakra arrow. It's as if his whole spirit was invaded by the energy. He felt mentally drained out, even if physically he felt fine. It's just, bizarre.

"This can't be...".

'Nii-san... It's over. You don't have to do this...'. Hikari pleaded one more time.

"I... I need more power... How come I lost!? Come to me, give me more power!".

Kuroma can't believe he lost even with his immense power. It just means, he is not strong enough!

Kuroma gritted his teeth and weaved hand seals while tanking another arrow that Shou shot to stop him but failed.

Come to me, more power!!

His whole body is shined with light at the exact moment. His chakra exploded sending Hikari stumbling backwards but was caught by Shou who sped up fast to catch her. They both gulped their saliva feeling the aura from him. It's... Too strong!

You dare covet my power just like your ancestors. Very well. Thanks to you, I can be free. Take my power, and become a part of me!

Kuroma whole body is shining with light, but he already realised something is wrong! The power is too much, as if it's trying to devour him.

Hikari clenched her fist and with determination ran fast towards him. She needs to stop her brother!

"Hikari-san!". Shou didn't expect Hikari to actually run forward!

Hikari pushed his brother aside, and the light fell onto her instead.

'Hikari! No!!!'. Kuroma was about to stand up but Hikari was already dissolved into light and dissappeared...

'Hikari... What... What have I done...'.

Silence prevails for seconds. Shou too was shocked.

"Kuroma-san... Is she...". Shou was too stunned he just watch. He also thought Hikari might be able to stop her brother and a part of him let her convince him to stop. But he didn't think she could simply steal the power, or rather, somehow got dissolved into light herself. Is the ritual that easy to be interrupted? Isn't Kuroma the one who weaved the hand seals? It just doesn't make sense! Unless... the light dragon is the one who shines that light. That must be it...

'Hikari... She... She turned into the light dragon. If she hadn't stop me, it would have been me... Hikari... I am sorry... What have I done. I was so blinded by power I-'.

Shou took a deep breath and thought about the situation.

"Kuroma-san... We still can save her".

Kuroma looked up at Shou hearing such words.

"The dragon blade have a legend around it doesn't it. That it can separate Light, People, and Power. We can separate Hikari from the Light Dragon with it".

Kuroma regained the light in his eyes hearing it.

'Shou-san... Please... Help me save Hikari... I didn't realise I was... I don't know why I...'.

Kuroma felt like an idiot. Why did he bother with revenge when he could have live peacefully with his sister?

The truth is, as a descendant of the Ryu clan which already have connection to the Light Dragon, the dragon had already influenced his judgement by taking advantage of the hatred he had in his heart.

"Kuroma-san. It's okay... Let's save Hikari-san first".

Kuroma wanted to shed tears but held back. He stood with conviction and firmed his heart.

'Lets go'.

Shou picked up the Dragon Blade left after Hikari dissolved into light. Thankfully it's still there. Otherwise it might be impossible. Well, actually... The bow seems to be effective as well seeing how Kuroma is stopped.

They both went to the Light Hall, where the light dragon would resurrect.

As they opened the doors, a majestic white dragon stood at the end of the big hall. It's as big as a tailed beast! Red markings decorated the dragon's body, glowing with a red chakra.

That blade... The blade that those people used to break me into pieces and prison me for years!

The dragon was mad and roared angrily. His hatred for humanity is for a reason.

But he let those two come in and meet him face to face due to his pride as a majestic being.

"Ryu-san. Can we talk!". Shou shouted, nervously looking at the huge monster.

Kuroma-san was side eyeing him in disbelief. He looked at the white dragon, and he don't believe it can talk. It looks like it can devour both of us!

The dragon speak no nonsense and spewed a huge flame to them!

Barrier Seal!

Ice Wall!

Kuroma and Shou used their techniques at the same time blocking it!

'Light Dragon. We can talk it out! Let's not fight!'.

The dragon felt annoyed and angry. This human dares!

Ningen! You are not worthy to talk to me! You too coveted my power don't you!? I have no reason to talk to you! Die!

The light dragon actually talks, but Shou have no comeback because it's true he did want his power!

The light dragon spewed more flames and conjure pillars of flames surrounding them.

Shou had to conserve chakra and dodge manually with his ice armour to reduce the damage he receive. While taking chances to attack with the Dragon Blade. Thankfully the dragon is slow due to his large size.

The Light Dragon screamed in anger feeling his power drained at each slash. After few slashes, his forehead reveals a reddish glow, as if it's begging to be attacked.

Reverse scale!

Shou conjured a single ice mirror, and in an instant strike it with the blade!

Aaahrrgg!!

The reverse scale exploded with red chakra expulsed out of it, the dragon fell down feeling a sixth of his power drained.

Damn you, human!

'Light Dragon-san. Please calm down'. Shou really don't feel like fighting him. He don't have much chakra left to fight him 5 more times.

What do you want!

The light dragon felt like he would lose if he continues. This person is simply too fast, and that Dragon Blade, that damned thing is too much!

"Light Dragon-san, let Hikari out! The girl you took!.

Shou look at Kuroma for a second. Right. His sister is what matters most. And he never wanted to force the Light Dragon into him since to unleash full power of a bijuu you always need their 100% cooperation.

"We will let you go afterwards, I promise".

Kuroma looked at Shou for a second with shock, and look at the light dragon.

'Are you sure we should...'. He whispered in his ears. Having this beast out free?? It's just...

Shou stopped Kuroma from speaking.

The light dragon is also surprised hearing such a thing. Is he for real? Letting him go?

The light dragon eyes opened wider a little hearing it but sneered in disdain. He is not that easy to be tricked!

Humans only know how to lie! If you really meant it, give the Dragon Blade to me, and I would let her go myself!

Without the blade, they can't do anything to him. Heh. He knows they can never-

Shockingly, Shou really walked forward and reached his hands out with the blade on his palms.

He raised the blade, presenting it to the dragon. Shou wanted to gain the dragon trust. Not to mention, he would be captured by the Akatsuki if he really roams free. At that time, he planned to stalk him and just makes him agree to co-operate with him once the Akatsuki or any other people try to capture him. Surely he had to agree otherwise he would just be captured and sealed again.

Kuroma felt his brain twisted a little. The dragon too never expects this kid to be this easy. Surely he knows what would happen right?

"Ryu-san, please give Hikari back to us...".

Kuroma gritted his teeth and also pleaded. He realised Hikari is the only one who matters for him and other things don't matter.

The light dragon was quiet. He went to pick up the blade with his finger, and sealed it into himself. Seeing that there's nothing wrong, and it's the real Dragon Blade, his heart gets a little loose.

I can't.

The dragon words are calm and composed.

"Y-You! How dare you lie to us!".

Shou stopped Kuroma for a second.

"Why?". Shou is ready to pull out his bow. He is sure the bow is effective seeing it can neutralise Kuroma just fine. He almost regret believing this dragon could fulfill his words.

I can exist only because of her body and soul inside me. My real body... If you can find my real body, I can release her, without dying.

Shou thought for a moment... This sounds difficult but, that means if Hikari is separated from the dragon, the dragon dies? Then his original goal of obtaining his power is nulled. Not to mention he does not want to kill the dragon to begin with.

"Where is your body?". Shou asked first.

I don't know. I can't... Remember.

They both frowned.

"Ryu-san... Do you have to, take over her body? Can't you, like, exist inside her instead?".

HAH!? You want me to act subservient to a human!? In your dreams! And I can't do undo it now that she's devoured by me. Hmph!

Shou scratched his cheek. This is difficult.

"Then... What if... You take me instead?". Shou said with a thought. Kuroma felt his eyes moist hearing it. He didn't know Shou was such a kind person to sacrifice himself to save Hikari. He felt bad for treating him a bit rudely.

Hah! You think I would be tricked!? You only wanted my power!

Damn. This dragon is sharp.

"Then... Then you can takeover my body anytime you want! How about it?Just don't turn my body to be, well, as big as you are now... I will let you use my body to walk around. And we are stronger that way too, right? And you can help me to find your body better too".

The dragon was stunned and stood in silence for seconds. He smirked a little after thinking about it.

Hahahah! Interesting proposal smart human. I can consider it. I will write a contract in dragon blood, and you can never break it unless I will it! Do you dare?

Shou gulped his saliva. This is quite risky. But he can also set the terms and conditions he wanted if he discussed with the dragon properly.

"Let's talk about my terms. First. I don't want to die. So once you get your body, I should remain intact".

The dragon sneered. Ancient words was suddenly written in the air with chakra in gold light.

Blood Contract

1. The Dragon King Watatsumi, can freely use and take control of the human body of Shou.

2. TDKW can terminate the contract and consume Shou's soul and body if he failed to or refuse to search for his body wholeheartedly. Shou's measure of effort and willingness to search for the body is up to the Dragon King's discretion.

3. TDKW will leave Shou's soul and body intact fully once the the real body is found and successfully reunited with the soul of the dragon king.

4. If Shou is about to lose his soul, TDK can takeover his body completely.

The more Shou look at it, the more his face is twisted. Is this a slave contract?? He don't even care if his name is Watatsumi or that he is a dragon king reading such a one sided terms.

"I will put my own terms too!". Shou puffed his cheeks.

Hah. Since you are decent enough, I will let you state what you want.

"Do not harm innocent people if you ever use my body. Also, once we find your real body, I want you to still stay in me until the world peace is achieved! And then you can get back into your body!".

World peace? Hahaha. What dreamland are you on? That will never happen.

Shou realised his words are really a little unrealisti.

"Then... Until all the threats from another world is eliminated".

The dragon is quiet for awhile.

What threats are you talking about?

"Otsutsuki clans".

WHAT!?

The whole hall was shaken. The dragon looks very distraught and it's obvious his breathing is heavy. Its visible his eyebrows is knitted tight.

"Ryu-san? What's the matter". Shou asked seeing him distraught.

I... Don't know. That name. I know that name! It makes me, really angry! But... I can't remember!

Shou thought about it. It's bizarre. How could he not remember but remember the name at the same time. Unless... Memories that are altered. He knows the Otsutsuki has the power to alter memories and realities with Senringan and perhaps there's other things they could do.

"Ryu-san. Do you know why and since when humanity betrayed the dragons?".

The dragon is quiet while searching his memory.

I don't know... But... It's as if it has always been that way. But I can't remember the time before the betrayal... What's going on...

Something is missing in his head. But he knew in his heart or soul they are supposed to protect humanity. But he has no memory of being worshipped or doing that, but he knows that happens in his heart before the memory of the humans starts to capture and seal them.

"Ryu-san. I think... Perhaps your memory, or the reality is altered".

The dragon is quiet for awhile.

That's impossible. Who can do that? God? How could someone be so powerful to erase even my memory!?

"Ryu-san, you underestimated the Otsutsuki clan. They can manipulate reality, even time and space. Its possible they did that to you, and the whole dragon race. Perhaps... It's because your kind are the earth guardians that they eliminated you guys first using such a way".

Shou squeezed his brain trying to make sense of things to come up with such a theory. It's highly possible since the Otsutsuki had come to earth even before Kaguya come. The missing pair of Otsutsuki before Kaguya might be responsible for this too.

What else do you know? Tell me. And how do you so much?

"Ryu-san, I know a little about that clan. So-".

But before Shou can tell him, suddenly explosions are heard blasted from outside the hall!
