Ch. 269 Max's Traumatized Feelings

Maximillian led Chleo somewhere and turned into a quieter corridor. Chleo didn't pay attention to the route because she focused on the big hand holding her hand. She wanted to make sure the man's hand didn't slip out of her grasp and didn't disappear from her sight.

After making sure there wasn't a single human around them, Max took Chleo to teleport to his penthouse. Only then did Max open his grip to let go of Chleo's hand. But Chleo still gripped his hand tightly without any intention of letting go.

Max glanced at the little girl next to him in amazement.

"You promised not to leave."

"I won't. We are already at my place, so you can let me go."

"No." insisted Chleo.

The last time they were arguing about the same thing, Maximillian had entered his room and teleported to another place. Chleo didn't want to risk the man going away from her, so she refused to let go of his hand.
