Chleo was still waiting for the question her husband would ask. She was desperately trying to contain the pain in her chest and keep her consciousness awake.
However, the man's question was not in the least she expected.
"If… If I were the one who met you first, would you fall in love with me?"
Chleo smiled weakly because she never imagined what would have happened if she had met Axel first.
She tried to compare her first meeting with Alexis and Axel for the first time.
When she met Alexis, Chleo felt at ease, and for the first time, she wasn't wary of strangers. Alexis was a person who could touch her heart without breaking through.
On the other hand, her meeting with Axel didn't start well. She was drunk, and the man took her back to the man's house without her permission.
