Max didn't stop patting Chleo's petite torso affectionately, who was curled up in his arms while whispering soothing words.
Chleo did feel calm, but she still couldn't believe that she was still alive. How could a human being still be alive after falling from such a height? She could still feel the dreadful screech as she fell at high speed as if she had only experienced it a few minutes ago.
