Ch. 101 The Violet King's Playground
Max noticed Chleo's change in mood as he got down to open the car door next to the girl. "What is it? Why do you look sad?"
Chleo instantly changed her expression and acted as if nothing happened. For some reason, she felt… Max didn't have the same feelings as her.
"No. I'm not sad." Chleo was about to get out of the car, but Max suddenly stood up, blocking the exit, so she couldn't find an opening to land her feet on the ground.
Chleo looked at Max in confusion. What else could this man want?
"Could it be that you're sad that I let go of your hand?"
Yup, Max instantly knew the answer as soon as he saw Chleo's wide-eyed eyes. Max chuckled because Chleo's expression was like an open book. Everyone would immediately identify what the girl was feeling.
"No… no… I totally…" Chleo could no longer speak when Max took her hand again and gently pulled her out of the car.
Chleo lowered her head in shame, with her heart beating with so much joy.
