Yup... Basically we're equal in every way possible.
Even though it sucks, I have the upper hand in some things.
'Blake, what is the answer to this question?' Brent
'It's 25.8 approximately 26" Blake
'Wrong, it's 26.8 approximately 27, haha!' Brent
'Dammit bastard' Blake
"OK class, let's begin" Miss Claire said "who can get the answer to this question?"
Few hands were raised.
"OK, Chris, what is the answer?" She said
"25.4, it cannot be approximated" Chris said
"You were close, it's 26.8 approximately 27, try again next time" ms. Claire said
The day was as uneventful as ever, we're now in the last class for the day.
"Alright class, that would be all for to---" the teacher was cut off by someone running down the hall and screaming
"EVERYBODY OUT OF YOUR CLASSES NOW!!"
We were shocked cos the voice sounded like the person was worried and scared at the same time.
"Ms. Ivory, what happened?" Mr. Jake our language teacher asked her
"We're under attack, that's what happened. The military doesn't even know how to deal with these things!" Ms. Ivory answered
"What are they?" Mr. Jake asked
"Beast, they look like animals but way bigger and stronger" she continued "Guns don't work on them, the bullets just bounce back"
"Don't you think it's time for the Gifted to come out?" Mr. Jake asked
"Yes, they are exactly what we need, right now!"
"Let's get these kids out first" they agreed on that
We both heard everything they said, we were about to get up, when something broke through the glass and stood in front of the class. It looked like a tiger, but standing on its two feet.
"Innocent children, too bad you were born in this world" the tiger said before jumping down. By this time we've already disguised ourselves with a mask made out of mud.
The tiger stopped in front of the students, who were visibly trembling.
"I'm looking for 2 kids, they're extremely smart." The tiger said
The immediately turn their heads to Chris and Rachel, they were the 'smartest' kids in the class.
"They are twins" the tiger said again, I could hear the sigh of relief from them.
"We have only a set of twins in the class, but they aren't smart" a kid said with shaky voice
"Oh really, where are they?" The tiger asked and the kids pointed to us.
'Dammit' we both thought
'I guess we have to fight now' Blake
'Yeah' Brent
The tiger was walking towards us when he suddenly stopped. He looked down and saw vines wrapped around its ankles. It smiled and said
"We're called Novas for a reason" he just used brute force and broke out of it "nice try" he said
"Dammit dude"Blake said
"Sorry, I didn't know he would be that strong" I replied
We stood up and tried to run, but another nova appeared.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"Fine" we both said "then die"
Lightning crackled on Blake's hands while the earth started rumbling.
"Oh this is getting fun" the first nova said
Blake sent a lightning bolt to the first one. He easily dodged it but Blake just smiled
"That wasn't the real one" then a lightning bolt struck the nova in the chest, passing through and killing it at once
Meanwhile, I was sending vines to the second one and restraining him, then I got set to punch him with my mud covered fist
"I've always wanted to try this" I punched forward and it landed right on its head, which exploded
"Eww, that's disgusting" I said "Hey, clean this up will you?"
"No I'm not touching that" Blake answered with a sneer
I just used my time and space element to teleport them outside
"I'm gonna go clean up" and I left.

Blake (POV)
I turned around to take my seat and I met the gaze of the entire class, and some of them had theirs mouth on the floor
"What?" I asked
"You guys are mages, why did you hide it?"a kid asked
"Didn't you SEE what just happened?" I asked him
"Oh yeah, right, sorry"he said
"But how did they know you're here?" Chris asked
"The sensible person in class, that is a really good question" I answered "well, I'm not thinking about it"
"Why?" He asked
"Because that is Blake's job" I replied
"What's my job?" Blake came in and asked
