Chapter 6:The start of the rumor

Alexandra stood up from her seat furiously and turned to glare at the person next to her and said "Absolutely not"

"Look, this man I mentioned to you is the owner of the biggest company in Germany all that he asks is to play golf with Mr. Wolcott and talk about business and some proposals we have"

"Sir, are you aware that Mr. Wollcot was in a car accident just recently?"

"Of course I am aware"

"Then you should know that what you are saying is nonsense"

"Excuse me?"

"Mr. Wollcot had a car accident, he was hospitalized and, how do you think this man can go and play golf, please explain that to me?"

"Em uh"

"If they want to discuss business with him, Mr. Wollcot has always preferred to do meetings and such things in a proper meeting room at work rather than do it while playing golf" said Alexandra dryly

"Look, miss, you're close to Mr. Wollcot, so I'm positive that he'll listen to you because he trusts you, which is why I came to speak with you."

"I am sorry but my answer does not change. but I could inform him about your invitation to play golf" Alexandra insisted

"Alright thank you" said the man then left

And Alexandra was right Mr. Wolcott preferred to talk about business at work

"So, what did he say?" inquired Mr. Schmidtthe (owner of Germany's most successful company)

"He stated that he preferred to converse n a meeting room."

"what about that woman everyone talks about? You said you can convince her to convince him."

"Well, the girl stated it's not good for Mr Wolcott's current state because he just got out of the hospital yesterday. To her, it's like I suggested to play soccer with him," they began to chuckle.

"But that woman is incredibly brilliant and dedicated, so it's no surprise Mr Wolcott puts his faith in her. I ave seen her work and reports" Schmidt pointed out

"Or is it possible that she has a romantic relationship with Mr. Wolcott?"

"I don't think so, but she is a lovely and intriguing young lady..... on second thoughts it may be a possibility?"

"The workers that work here are doomed if they get married." sated the man

"Why?"

"Well, I heard she keeps track of everything and isn't unaware of a single meeting or event, and she gets fired up by the smallest and simplest mistakes that don't even matter so if she's in charge-"

"That, however, is an ideal quality to have in a job such as this, I believe I want her to work for me "said the other man, who cut off the other

"Well, she's only a secretary, and yet it's as if she's the second boss here instead of Mr. Wollcot's son"

"Yeah Mr. Wolcott's son will have to hold on to his seat" chuckled Mr. Schmidt

Little did they know that Thomas himself was listening to their conversation he was boiling with rage but he continued to walk to the elevator when it opened he saw Alexandra and Adrienne were waiting for his father to arrive

not long after Peter arrives

"Good morning sir" said both Adrienne and Alexa

"Good morning to you too and you Thomas"

"Good morning sir" said Thomas

"oh and Alexa there is something I need to show you, let's go to my office"

And as soon like they reached Peter's office, Thomas walked to his father's office and entered without knocking, as he normally did, and saw his father holding a little red box. Alexandra startled and quickly removed the box from Peter's hand and hid it behind her.

"What's the matter with you, son? How could you enter the CEO's office in such a manner?"

"Can I see that red box you're carrying behind you, Miss Faucette?"

Alexandra stood up and shook her head, saying, "No, absolutely not," as if she was scared.

"Son I am discussing something important with Miss Faucette you can come back later"

"I sense you're talking about something significant, father; now, let me have a look at that small box Miss Faucette," says Thomas opening his hand.

With a shake of her head, Alex expressed that she will not by any means hand that box to him.

"Son, you're still here, I told you to come back another time."

"As your son, it is my responsibility to advise you that you have been making a lot of bad judgments recently."

"Whether it's right or not, I'm making my decisions," he said. "Don't get involved in something that isn't your business, and don't make me call the guard on my own son, now leave."

"Fine," Thomas replied as he walked away, glaring at Alexandra once again. "Sir, don't you think it's time for you to tell everything to your son?"

"Not yet, when Susanna said yes to my proposal then I will tell him, but if I tell him now and she rejected me, that will humiliating"

"Yeah, you're right sir," Alexandra remarked as she handed him the little red box back.

"I am sorry I dragged you in this mess" apologized Peter

"No sir it's not a problem for me at all" insisted Alexandra

"However, do you think she'll like it or should I get a bigger diamond?"

"No sir, in my opinion, it's quite lovely," Alexa said. "Besides, what counts is not the size of the diamond, it's the love between you and Mrs. Adams, and the trust you give each other."

"Oh Alexandra, I wish every female in the world was like you. If my son thinks for a second and considers having you as his spouse....well that will make me overjoyed"

"Dear God, if this is the fate you've assigned to me, please remove it" mumbled Alexandra

"Sorry, did you say something?" Peter inquired.

" no, sir,"

Does she really think I will let her marry my father, the war has begun

I will find a way to destroy you and ruin your relationship with my father
