2. My New Life as a Girl

So before we could end our conversation my Maid Natalie she suddenly said this to me in which get me shocked, "Princess Maria before we end our little kid to maid talk I need to tell you something. If that's okay?" "What is it?" I replied. "It's about your engagement which has been prepared since you were born." she gave me a shocking sentence.

"Pardon?" I said because I almost did not understand. "Well Princess the thing is that your father prepared a man of another kingdom who we once called enemies. But since you were born it has been decided that you will marry the son of the enemy territory in order for peace to come between the two kingdoms." she said as she tried to become brave.

Then she took me to Father who is currently the king of the kingdom. When I entered the Thrown room I suddenly saw a handsome young child I think is at my age. I then asked father, "Father, who are they?" and then my father replied, "These are my acquaintances and I think Natalie already told you about the kingdom which was at the opposite side of this country. And Maria meet your future husband George."

"Nice to meet you Princess Maria. My name is George and starting from today you will be my girlfriend. If that's okay to you?" George said as he made his greeting. Then I replied to him, "Nice to meet you Prince George. I hope that you can make me happy." "Of course my love." he replied as he kneeled down and held a box in which has a ring inside.

Then he said, "Princess Maria, will you accept my engagement in which I will be giving to you?" and I almost fainted but I said, "Yes."

Then both my parents and George's parents and the one's who were there said, "Congratulations Princess Maria for your engagement." I wished they didn't say that because why do they have to make an engagement to their very young children of the royal family.

But I think I know the reason why do they have to let their young children as a member of the royal family so that while they are still young they can take the place of their parents. This type of tradition has been sent down by their ancestors who were the ones before them.

But now I will be taking the throne of my father and live on as the new queen when the time comes but I think I want to break this engagement because I just wanted to have a normal life as a boy. Oh wait, I almost forgotten that I was a girl in this world so that is why I want to try out the ways of the royal family as one of them.

I think I was the one who chose this life so I should bear it and plus I must have some knowledge so that is why I should study until it is time for me to be wedded by the prince in which is what will happen in the future.

After all that fuss about the engagement I then came to the royal library of my home in which is very big because it was my first time in going inside the actual room. But I think this is no ordinary room at all. It is like a huge establishment and plus I can do my self-study in here and also try to remember what I learned from my previous life.

So starting from the day of my engagement Prince George started to come to the kingdom often when he wants to you know hang out with me as his girlfriend and all. As a boy from my previous life even I didn't know what it is like to date someone or somebody so I am in-experienced.

"So this Saturday I will be free and plus George and his family will have a visit to their relatives in which is their tradition. I will just read books and do some horse riding as practice so that one day even the boys of the outside of the kingdom will not underestimate me even if I'm a princess." I said as I was very excited.

I almost forgotten that this is the modern age in which is where all the phones are available, especially the internet. So I said to my parents, "Mother Father can I get a smartphone? I think I can handle these simple machines and plus I studied about them." then my father and mother agreed and said, "Well of course as for our one and only daughter you can get a smartphone right now."

Actually I am at the age of becoming a high school student and I asked my father if I could do my studies at the School of this Kingdom and he Granted my permission ever since I haven't gone to school all my life since I was very young.
