I Feel Hot

The time of the dinner party arrived and Teran had already changed into the tux Kahan gave him, unable to stop admiring how he looked in the mirror until he was finally pulled away from it.

He stood by Kahan's side with a glass of wine in his hand, bored out of his mind, after greeting people whose names he didn't bother to pay attention to.

Kahan on the other hand who had been unwilling to go to the party now seemed to enjoy himself as he met other actors. So much so that he stayed longer than he said he would, drinking glass after glass of wine while Teran wondered how he managed to stay sober regardless.

The night was long, and the end of the party was near with Teran managing not to grumble even a little as he focused on the amount of money he would be getting at the end of the month.

It was at the moment when people were beginning to leave when Teran watched a waiter suddenly stop beside Kahan, with a single drink in his tray, offering it to Kahan the second he was done with the one in his hand almost like he had been waiting for it.

Teran was a little suspicious of his behavior wondering if something could be wrong with the drink but he was still pondering about such things in his mind when he surprisingly watched Kahan take a big gulp out of it.

"Well…I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to poison him," Teran thought recalling the kind of person Kahan truly was compared to the charming actor he showed to everyone in the dining hall.

A few minutes later, Teran was surprised to watch Kahan begin to bid goodbye to the director he was talking to, who was in charge of the new movie his manager was fawning about.

Since it was getting late the director had no issues doing the same. Erio, Kahan's manager had also appeared the second he noticed that Kahan was preparing to leave.

"Are you okay?" Teran whispered to him when he suddenly noticed how flushed Kahan's stoic face suddenly looked,

"Not here…" was all Kahan said, rushing his goodbyes and slowly making his way out of the dining hall and to the elevator as Erio ran after him,

"What's wrong? Why are you speeding away?" Erio asked the second Kahan finally came to a stop in front of the elevator, getting a good look at his face before he stepped in, with Erio and Teran stepping in with him.

"I don't know. My head feels hot and heavy and…and," Kahan sighed not knowing how to explain the rest of what he felt, and finally deciding not to.

"Just get me to the closest hotel. I'll sleep there alone for the night," Kahan replied talking to Erio who instantly understood what was happening. Since he was not bawling over in pain, or seemed to be dying then the heat he felt had to be of a different kind.

Teran on the other hand, had no clue and simply followed Erio's instructions, as they both got in the car heading to the closest hotel to the GMT company building.

"Urgh…I can't allow them to spoil my plans," Riya thought as she followed closely behind them in her car, having heard their conversations in the lobby.

"All I need to do is wait for them to leave him in the room and he'll be mine. It might do a little damage to my reputation, but the second he takes responsibility for me, It'll recover," she thought already imagining how to properly bawl her eyes out the next morning after they were found.

Picking her phone, she quickly dialed a number she knew from memory.

"Hey, Joe. I'll give you the name of the hotel and room number. I expect you to show up as early as possible tomorrow with as many reporters from your company as you can,"

"I know…I know. I promise it would be worth your while," she responded quickly with her phone in one ear, before ending the call and concentrating fully on following the car in front of her.

It had barely taken a few minutes before Erio, in the driver's seat settled on the closest hotel he could find, abandoning his first choice of trying to look for a five-star hotel when he heard Kahan's continuous sighs, as Teran watched him loosen his tie.

As quickly as they could, the three of them got out with Erio booking the room with the speed of light.

He made sure to get a room on the topmost floor for security reasons, which slightly pissed Kahan off as he tried to make Erio hurry up by sending a heavy glare his way.

But finally, the three of them made it to the room, with Teran walking as quietly as he could beside Kahan, completely aware of the fact that he was not only in a bad mood but a shitty one.

The moment they got to the room, Kahan collected the room key and entered with Erio taking a deep breath in and out as he stood in front of the door.

"Fine, we'll leave him be," Erio said aloud to Teran, the moment Kahan stepped in.

Meanwhile, Riya, stood in the corridor with a huge grin on her face.

"Leave….please leave. I can't wait to be with him" she thought with a manic grin on her face, as she bit down on her lower lip, struggling to hide the excitement she felt.

Teran, though stood with a wavering expression on his face, right before he also sighed a loud sigh.

"I don't think I should leave him," Teran told Erio, recalling the things Kahan was involved in which Erio was most likely not aware of.

"What if he gets attacked again?" Teran thought, seeing as how Kahan didn't seem to be able to defend himself,

"But I'm more worried about what he was poisoned with…" Teran asked having come to a quick conclusion on his own that there was definitely something wrong with the drink Kahan had taken,

"Oh, he just needs to sleep it off. The drug messes with the mind a little. I've seen a lot of it in this industry. I'm more worried about you." Erio replied with a truly worried expression on his face, as he had seen firsthand how strong the drug was working on Kahan.

"Me?"

"Yes, ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO STAY," Erio asked again.

Teran instantly nodded. He knew he couldn't just leave. He agreed to work for Kahan even if he had been persuaded to and so far Kahan seemed like a good boss.

"Yes, I'll stay,"
