Chapter 162: Dragon

Monkey D. Dragon, the world government's number one enemy, is considered the only leader of the Revolutionary Army who can directly overthrow the world government's rule. He has continuously overthrown the rule of dozens of kingdoms, freeing their civilians to defend their freedom.

He saw through the essence of this world, wanting to create a path for the vast working masses and establish a harmonious, free, and equal world full of dreams.

His abilities are related to weather or wind, though the exact nature of his abilities is unclear. But it's highly likely he possesses a Logia-type Devil Fruit.

Throughout his journey, the wind carried the sounds of praise for Rodney to his ears, and everywhere he went, it seemed like a chorus celebrating Rodney's virtues.

Rodney had built a peaceful place, protected the people's safety, helped them escape poverty, enriched children's knowledge, and raised many youngsters. The laughter of those children sounded like celestial music to Dragon.

He wanted to hear these voices and see this kind of harmony. He felt curious about Rodney's past—what kind of person he was to build such a harmonious place.

This was the new world that Dragon wanted to see: people with smiles on their faces, full of harmony and freedom, a world without oppression or bloodshed. He saw it in Rodney's territory.

Hearing Dragon's praise, Rodney waved his hand sheepishly, saying, "It's nothing really. I just felt this place was too chaotic, and I couldn't stand it. So, I took some time to establish some rules here. Those who don't follow are still working in the prison."

In some ways, he shared a similar viewpoint with the World Government. He preferred ordered chaos to absolute chaos. Correcting ordered chaos wouldn't require much effort, but absolute chaos would need an immense amount of power and unpredictable sacrifices.

Dragon continued, "No, please don't say that. Your town is well-organized, free from any semblance of chaos. Innocent children and people with smiling faces. Rodney, you are a born leader! A leader with advanced ideas!"

Rodney, still sitting on the sofa, replied, "Is that so? This is my territory, and I don't want to see a world without smiles, especially from children. If children can't smile, then the world is almost finished." Rodney chuckled, and Robin entered, carrying tea personally brewed by Leicester.

Dragon accepted the tea and took a sip, commenting, "This tea tastes excellent."

Rodney laughed, "Haha, it's brewed by the best chef on my crew. Isn't it great? So, Dragon, you didn't come here just for tea, did you?"

Rodney assumed Dragon's purpose was to buy weapons since they didn't cooperate with Doflamingo and came directly to him.

Dragon confirmed, "I'm here to buy weapons. What's your offer?"

AKs were already popular in the market. The Revolutionary Army had confiscated some but couldn't replicate them. Trying to research them resulted in explosions. Without a doubt, they came to buy.

Rodney placed his teacup down and said, "Alright, I'll sell them to you at cost price. It's my way of supporting your cause. And I'll throw in a few extras. Robin, bring them over."

"Much appreciated," Dragon replied.

Although he didn't want to rely on his father's reputation, the fact was, they were poor. The Revolutionary Army didn't have the luxury to seize civilian properties and collect wealth as pirates did.

At most, they confiscated some funds from toppled governments, and sometimes they had to contribute themselves. This trip to Avallon was not in vain; they were leaving with valuable assets.

Robin, rather surprised, commented, "I thought the captain would handle it personally, considering it's his efforts."

"No worries. I don't have the time to deal with those guys. My Rokushiki training is almost complete, and it's a critical moment. How could I be disturbed by those matters?" Rodney replied.

"Alright, understood."

Robin left, and in Dragon's curious gaze, Rodney handed him a ledger.

"This is a list of everyone who has bought weapons from Avalon Weaponry. I've investigated all of these individuals. The names highlighted in red are the executioners who recklessly sparked wars. You can handle them. If you hadn't come, I was planning to take action myself, conducting a public beheading. It's easy for you to do."

How could he possibly spare this group of people? It was just that his training in the Rokushiki was nearing completion, and he couldn't be bothered at the moment. Letting Dragon and his associates take care of it was convenient for everyone. After all, he wouldn't earn any achievement points by killing them.

Dragon, upon hearing this, paused for a moment and then sincerely bowed to Rodney, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Rodney, for your help. With this list, all our enemies are exposed, showing us the way forward."

The importance of this list was self-evident. For Dragon, it was more valuable than the weapons.

He initially thought Rodney was a ruthless arms dealer, but in reality, it wasn't the case. The sincere desire for peace in his heart was truly touching.

In Dragon's heart, Rodney had already become a partner on their revolutionary path.

Rodney responded casually, "You're welcome."

"Since you've given us such an important gift, I can't be insincere either. Do you know if there are spies among your subordinates?" Dragon inquired.

"Spies?"

Rodney and Robin exchanged a glance, both of them smiling. They understood that Dragon meant Isabella, a CP agent.

She believed she was operating covertly, but with Rodney and Robin's vigilance and Observation Haki permeating Avallon, they couldn't overlook her secret actions.

Isabella was affiliated with the Cipher Pol, but Rodney didn't know her exact CP division. He suspected she might be from CP0, given her exceptional abilities.

He was aware of the existence of CP1 to CP8 agents, but their skills weren't impressive. CP9 members, he knew almost all of them, but CP0 was shrouded in mystery. Only a handful of people knew Isabella's true identity: Rodney, Robin, Fujitora, and Reiju.

Fujitora had learned about it when he left Avalon. As a wanderer with advanced Observation Haki, he wouldn't have missed it. When he left Avalon after a short stay, he informed Dragon about Isabella's identity.

Dragon was also aware that Rodney had exceptional Observation Haki covering the entire Avalon. Therefore, he wasn't surprised when Rodney mentioned her.

Rodney replied, "Of course, I know. Isabella, that woman, thinks she's being discreet, but how can she hide her little games in the shadows from me and Robin throughout Avalon? She's been busy in the background."

Upon hearing Rodney's words, Dragon was momentarily taken aback. He then responded with a wry smile, "So, you're already aware. Fujitora informed me that she was using Den Den Mushi to alert the World Government about my presence."

Rodney replied, "Well, in that case, carry on."

Rodney showed a playful smile, and when this smile appeared, Robin knew that the captain had done another trick!
