Chapter 96: A Man of His Word

Ichiji and Niji were still watching the scene, not prepared to intervene. They saw Rodney as nothing more than a clown from their previous encounter. They didn't think it necessary to take action; they believed Yonji, the fool, could deal with him without any problems.

With a clang, Shusui was unsheathed, blocking Yonji's attack. They engaged in a fierce battle, and Yonji couldn't help but lock eyes with Rodney's rotating irises.

Rodney released his Sharingan, causing Yonji to shake his head and break free from the eye's effects, dodging away from Rodney towards Niji and Ichiji, who were seated on the side.

"I'll kill you, Rodney! I'll make sure your brains are splattered all over the place!" Yonji shouted.

"Is this Rodney's doing?" Ichiji, being more composed than Niji, sensed that something was wrong when he saw Rodney assuming a particular stance. "Niji, take Yonji and get away quickly!"

"Too late! Hakoku!"

A whirlwind of sword energy struck the three brothers, sending them flying far away, lying motionless amid the debris.

Rodney clapped his hands and said, "You all saw that, right? Germa's people attacked first. Go claim compensation from them."

Onlookers: "..."

Clearly, you were the one pressing them down!

Instead of leaving, Rodney chased after them. Utilizing his Shave and Moon Step to boost his speed, he was almost as fast as the fleeing brothers.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Blade!"

Several vacuum slashes shot forward, precisely targeting Niji. His main focus was Niji, who had insulted him before and whom he wanted to crush into the ground again.

Niji cursed angrily and quickly used the jets on his shoes to change direction mid-air. He spun around and clashed fists with Rodney.

"Your strength is no match for Germa's!" Niji laughed arrogantly, but then a black figure shot towards him. Disregarding it, he thought that with Germa's technology, he could block such attacks effortlessly.

However, he was wrong.

Tearing sounds followed as Rodney's fist easily tore through Niji's Germa battle suit, along with his steel-like muscles, splattering blood into the air.

"How is this possible?" Niji was in shock as he felt Rodney's fist landing another hit, sending him flying.

"Fire Release…!"

The concentrated chakra struck Niji, injuring him. This was an unprecedented situation for Niji, who was used to his Germa enhancements, but he quickly adjusted and withstood the attack. Then he heard a low shout, "Hakoku!"

Boom!

The spinning sword energy tore into Niji, causing him to cough up blood. Even with Germa's enhancements, taking two hits from the Country Destroyer still injured him.

His body flew, crashing into the Red Tree on number 42, then slowly fell down.

"I said I'd crush you into the ground, and I always keep my word." Rodney approached Niji and grabbed his arm. Suddenly, Niji smirked coldly, "But I don't think you have the ability to do that!"

As he spoke, he viciously kneed Rodney, emitting a blue electric current like a battering ram aimed straight at him.

"I always keep my word." Rodney also raised his knee, meeting Niji's attack head-on. Despite enduring the stinging pain from the electric current, he swung his longsword, aiming to cut Niji's head off.

Sensing Shusui's sharpness approaching, Niji didn't dare to hesitate. He quickly moved to avoid the strike while landing on what felt like a swamp.

"You thought I'd let you get away so easily? As a ninja, you should calculate your enemy's every move!" Rodney's hands moved rapidly, and in an instant, he completed the final hand seal, slamming both hands on the ground.

A mudflow carried Niji rushing towards the outside, with the ocean below.
