"well miss Paige if you don't mind may I bring a friend of mine?" shrunak asks and Paige takes a moment to think but after what happened to her with that tree monster it's a no brainer "yeah of course what's their name?" shrunak runs out towards the tavern "hey mark!" he shouts in the tavern, everyone looks at him "hi sorry that's me" a man with a black cloak, a big scar on his left cheek, dark purple eyes they look like deep space with hints of dark blue and pink and sharp fangs "great come with me" shrunak grabs him and drags him through the soil "noo my boots" "shush mark I've got someone you wanna meet" "bitch" mark says under his breath. the door swings open "wait she changi-" the doctor tries to get his words out but they leave " PAIGE! I've got hi-" shrunak blushes while mark turns his head "hey can you like. knock first" Paige mutters out of embarrassment. "sorry about him miss nice to meet you!"

mark drags him out and thwacks shrunak on the head. the door slams shut

" YOU FUCKING DINGUS!" Mark yells at shrunak " YOU COULD OF AT LEAST KNOCKED" shrunak rubs his head. "okay you two you can come in now" they both stand up and walk in with mark in the front "okay you must be the guy shrunak was talking about it's a pleasure to meet you" she holds her hand out, mark grabs her hand and shakes "your hands are chilling you must be a vampire? am I right" mark shakes "it's okay don't worry It doesn't matter if you're a vampire an orc or a hybrid. It's your personality that makes you not your species." mark eyes water as if no friend other than shrunak has ever shown him this type of friendship "tha- thank you" shrunak Pat's him on the back.

"shall we get going now? Paige asks as they give a warm look "yes miss?" "it's juniper, Paige juniper" they all walk out with swords on their back and magic at the ready

as the three walks through the woods they hear a creak of a branch "who's there?" shrunak summons a ball of water, Paige draws her blade and sets it ablaze whilst mark loads an arrow in his crossbow. it goes silent "Paige use your fire" mark grabs a piece of wood and the Paige lights it. mark throws it to where the creak came from "oh no," Mark says as if he met this person once before
