Chapter 6: City Arc? Let's go!

「You're going to the city, right?」

I asked Cassandra.

「Well, we're done with it, so yeah. By the way...」

She looks like she has to say something.

「Hm? What is it?」

「Aren't you being way too generous?」

She showed me the Ring Of Affection I recently crafted for her. She must've been curious about it all this time, not to mention she's aware that she's way stronger than before.

According to Andrew and Mark when I asked if they could see status screens, they can't see them. But they can feel any changes in their status. Furthermore, obtaining skills that are normally learned after years of training is the same as being injected knowledge by force.

「I'm a bit generous, yeah. But that's fine, I'm allowed to do whatever I want as long as it's not getting any race extinct.」

「Oh? Since you're a demi-god, then does this mean my baby will be strong like you?」

「Of course, I was sent here to have strong offsprings in the first place.」

「I'm pretty lucky then~ So how about finances, you're not just going to disappear on me, will ya?」

I grimaced at her obvious joke, but now that she says that, I have to do that now.

I handed her a small fabric pouch enchanted with space-time magic. It's used to store large amounts of items without the worry of expiration dates and limited available space.

「That thing contains atleast 17,000 gold coins.」

I've been here for two days, naturally I got bored with having nothing to do sometimes so I sneaked out and beat up some orc bandits to interrogate them. Of course, since I'm a kind-hearted man, I repaid them three gold coins for each beating session they take since they atleast taught me properly, even though that included a little bit of whips of love because they insulted me for looking human.

And I started to wonder too what I'll do after everytime I impregnate a woman. It's a given that I'll give them financial support, but not as much as I gave my first girl just now. However, I'll make sure I'm always in touch with them through the rings I'll give in case they need me for something.

There's also a method where I can just make clones of myself to satisfy all of them, sadly they won't possess the same powers as me. They'll have to rely on items and skills I give them.

As expected, after telling her the amount. She was struck by disbelief, her mouth agape.

「Y-You're kidding, right? That's... Almost ten times the amount I was promised by the beastkin to kill someone... I can live for years without working with this.」

When did I ever lie? As a gesture to convince her I'm telling the truth, I weaved my hand and mounds of gold coins exited the magic pouch I created. The amount being dispensed seemed almost endless and the sky was almost conquered with gold glitters.

Since I can't grant skills to myself, I used a ring blessed with the [Levitation Magic 10] skill to move the gold mounds beautifully to form a dragon and articulate a dance in the sky.

「I-I get it! I believe you!」

Now that she's convinced, the mounds of gold started returning to the magical pouch just as I wanted them to.

Cassandra held the pouch close to her chest with a delighted expression. She seems happy. Alright—

「Let's catch up to those guys.」

「How are w—」

Before she could finish her sentence, I already answered by creating a wingless , draconic beast out of platinum metal. It stood four-legged, twice the mass of a horse and waiting for us to climb on its back.

「You can do anything..? I wish I could do that.」

I kept silent, just because I'm speechless and it's awkward, I didn't know what comment to make of that. I ended up laughing a bit as a response.

She was a bit hesitant, but she managed to come up and ride behind me on the land dragon I made. It's powered by magical energy from it's surroundings and is controlled by artificial intelligence so it's like a living thing.

Suddenly, my legs felt weak and I almost fainted.

「Tsuyoshi?!」

Thankfully, Cassandra caught me right on time. I would have fell off like an idiot otherwise.

「Sorry... I suddenly felt dizzy and my body feels kinda hot.」

「If that's the case, you should rest. Sounds like you used too much mana lately.」

Mana? I've never had this problem ever since I came. But I did do quite alot of crazy things lately that normally a luxurious god would have done, so it makes sense.

「For now, let's catch up with everyone. Don't use any magic for today and your mana pool will naturally regenerate.」

「Got it, thanks for the concern.」

I ordered the draconic beast to move and we began to follow the moving caravan of soldiers in minutes, soon catching up with them and being welcomed to the group again. Apparently, most of them thought we were doing "stuff" in the forest which they were right about.

Being inconvenienced of our sex life, the noble being guarded by the group decided to just leave us alone and go back by themselves since we're late.

Cassandra earned a scolding from the squadron captain for suddenly disappearing, but I overheard her being congratulated by him as well.

「Nicely done, Cassandra. As congratulations for finally finding a man, we'll all drink! My treat!」

Captain Vanterey's subordinates cheered upon hearing that. The person targeted by the attention seemed pretty embarassed though.

「Hey boss, I heard you're going out with that girl from the second squad. I knew her for a while, she hasn't had a man even though she's already twenty-two.」

Andrew came over and slapped my back with a stupid grin on his face. It was quite powerful, but it wasn't enough to damage me. Wait, did he just use his adamantite arm for that? No wonder it felt so solid.

「Stop pestering him, Andrew. Hey boss, what will you do from now on? I talked it out with our employer so after we're done with the mission, we'll register as mercenaries and make ourselves famous in the frontlines.」

Seems like Mark and Andrew, these two best friends are quitting their current jobs to fulfill their duties and repay my generosity. Those are knights for you, can't say much about Cassandra though. Her status says she's a bad girl afterall. But because bad girls are supposed to be punished, I smash.

We reached the city walls at last.

They were tall, maybe around twenty meters high with six sentry knights watching over the gate and scrutinizing people wishing to enter.

Unlike everyone else in line, due to accompanying a noble, we were freed from the extensive examination done by the security team and was easily allowed entry.

「This is where we part, boss. Your name is Tsuyoshi Tenkōsei, right? I already wrote it down so that I don't forget!」

Compared to how gloomy he was when we first met, Andrew looked more stupid but he was happy. He was super lucky to have met me right after losing his arm. Not only did he get his arm back, I made him graduate from being a mob-character as well.

「I'm truly grateful for the help you've given us, Tsuyoshi-san. If you have some time, I would be delighted if you can visit our family's restaurant in the market district of Shiildie City.」

Mark pushed his friend Andrew to a low bow along with himself. I could see their sincerity just from their actions so I smiled.

「Although we don't know why you want to hide your powers, you must have an incredibly strong reason to hide it. For all we know, you're here to save our world.」

Why are the people of this world so good at predicting? Am I that obvious?

But leaving that aside, this is where we say our temporary goodbyes. Cassandra should be good by herself, but just in case I'll make a clone of myself tomorrow to satisfy her. I wouldn't feel so good leaving a girl after sex.

The knights were waving their hands at me as we separated, the gold-silver carriage going to the direction leading to the innermost parts of the city.

「Alright, time for the city arc.」

I started skipping in the city happily, which obviously resulted in people giving me weird looks and children pointing at me.
