"THE BOOK!!"

The door opened wide and four men entered: Eric, Kyle, John and the village chief. I recognized them by their voices, except the last one that was unknown to me.

"Mister village chief, you see there are all my books on the floor! It's all messed up! There must have been a thief!" said Eric very angry.

"Calm down Eric! , it's up to me to assess the seriousness of the situation. And then it seems that nothing has been stolen here." the village chief interrupted him.

"No! Chief. They stole the most precious thing of all! The book of magical creatures. I personally wrote that book. The four left the house and went into the garden next door. There they found a solitary rose plant planted near the wall of Eric's house.

"But it's impossible!I didn't plant that rose Neither is my wife. I'm not even married!" Eric denied.

"Well...it could have been planted by someone? it can't just grow a pair of legs and plant itself!" joked the village chief.

In fact, the chief discovered the truth, but it was impossible for him to believe such a statement.

Soon after, John left, saying that his wife was also waiting for him at home, worried, said goodbye to Eric, then the chief, and he also left.

Only the village chief and Eric remained.

"Eric I have to go too Elise will be waiting for me. I'll see you tomorrow morning at the town hall. See you tomorrow. " And the village chief also left. Leaving Eric staring into space.

Eric came home. He collected all the books on the floor and put them on the bookcase. Then he lit a candle and left it on the bedside table to light the room and went to sleep without even saying a word.

In all this our rose was listening to every single sound and word of the whole speech.
