8. I Didn't Need To Fight A Daemon This Early.

Kirei let out a breath of relief as he had just killed Sancraid. He recovered his guns and keys, including Sancraid's and was about to go on his way but then he heard the rustling of leaves and he looked at the source to find it coming from Sancraid's body.

Then to his surprise the dead Executors body started to move as he started to feel mana gathering around it as he is surprised.

"What the! He should be dead." Kirei said surprised as he took a few steps back.

Then he watched with wide eyes as the blood around Sancraid started to rise along with his body as the blood started to spin around him and covered his body while it started to shine as Kirei felt more mana gathering there.

"Is that some kind of spell or prayer that I don't know about?" Kirei said to himself as he looked at it.

The blood tornado started to become a bit larger as he looked at it. Then it stopped and became something like an eggshell as he looked at it confused.

"That's definitely not good." Kirei said to himself when he saw that.

And true to his words cracks started to appear on the eggshell as the cracks glowed as he gripped his Black Keys in his hands as the cracks appeared all over the eggshell before it exploded as mana was blasted around. Kirei is sent flying backwards from the force but he manages to correct himself as he took a few seconds to recover and looked at where Sancraid is.

But what greeted his eyes is a very bizarre thing that he had never expected to see.

In his field of vision, in place of where Sancraid is supposed to be there is a humanoid thing which is fully white and is a bit bigger than Sancraid. It has his body type with the white hair but blank eyes. But the thing that caught his attention the most and surprised him were the two white wings that were sprouting from his back.

"What the hell? Is that an angel? No wait, if it is an angel then why would I possess his body?" Kirei questioned as he looked at it skeptically.

As he said that the angel like being looked at him as he felt it's gaze on him as he tensed. It raised its right arm and pointed at him as Kirei felt a drop of sweat on the left side of his head.

"Heretic." The thing said in mixed voice as he got confused.

'What is he?' Kirei thought confused at its words.

"All Heretics must be killed! God's work must be done! I am his Messenger! And I shall complete the word of God!" The thing proclaimed in a mixed voice.

"Wait, aren't those the same words that Sancraid said to me. Don't tell me..." Kirei said to himself before his eyes widened in realization.

But any thoughts after that had to be stopped as the thing sent a stream of flames towards him. He immediately jumped to the side and managed to dodge it but the tree that was behind him was engulfed by the flames along with the ones behind it as he watched with his eyes widening at the display.

'It did something like that so easily. There's no doubt, it's a Daemon. But how did it come here? Wait, his words! Don't tell me that when he was about to die his wishes created a daemon with his mindset and it is now trying to kill me!' Kirei thought to himself as his eyes widened.

Then his attention was taken by the thing as it now sent lightning at him. He however managed to react quickly and dodged it, but he was sent back from the shockwave caused by the attack. He grunted as his back hit a tree as he winced but had to immediately jump away unless he wanted to become charcoal, something which the tree was turned into by the Daemon.

'I have to destroy it right now. I am no exorcist but what I do know is that it is still a spiritual being and if that's the case then Kyrie Eleison will be effective against. The only problem is that I have to actually make sure that the spell hits it.' Kirei thought to himself as he ran around the Daemon.

The Daemon started to dish out elemental attacks as he kept on dodging them as he studied it's movements.

'I should start with the chant now.' Kirei thought to himself as he looked at the thing.

"I will kill. I will let live. I will harm and heal. None will escape me. None will escape my sight.

Be crushed.

I welcome those who have grown old and those who have lost.

Devote yourself to me, learn from me, and obey me.

Rest. Do not forget song, do not forget prayer, and do not forget me." Kirei chanted as he ran around the Daemon.

"Time for you to pay for your sins!" The Daemon shouted as his body glowed.

'What is he about to do?' Kirei thought to himself as he kept on chanting.

"I am light and relieve you of all your burdens.

Do not pretend. Retribution for forgiveness, betrayal for trust, despair for hope, darkness for light, dark death for the living.

Relief is in my hands. I will add oil to your sins and leave a mark." Kirei continued chanting as ethereal red fire started to appear around the Daemon.

"Heaven's Judgement!" The Daemon shouted in its mixed voice as the fire spread out.

"Eternal life is..." Kirei chanted but widened his eyes when he saw the flames about to reach him.

And that was what he was able to see before he was consumed by them. The world turned to white around him as he lost his sense of direction. But then he found himself on land again but to his surprise it wasn't the forest that he was currently fighting in but rather in a barren land.

He looked around and saw various huge crosses on the ground as his eyes widened.

'A reality marble? Shit I forgot. Due to their alien sense Daemon's have reality marbles!' Kirei thought to himself in realization.

He turned around and saw the Daemon looking at him. It was a scary sight to him as he looked at the huge thing looking at him. It has longer arms, hands, legs and feet and it only has two eyes, mouth, wings and Sancraid's silver hair. It wore nothing, but there was also nothing to see. It couldn't be categorised as a male or female but as just a thing. Truth be told, it looked like he came straight out of a horror movie to him.

"You know what, I'm glad I can't feel nervous or fear right now." Kirei said as he got ready.

The Daemon roared and large nails materialized around it and then shot towards Kirei. Kirei clicked him tongue and ran towards the Daemon.

"Eternal life is given through death.

Ask for forgiveness here. I, the incarnation, will swear." Kirei continued his chant as he dodged the nails as it destroyed the ground.

But the difficulty was increased when the Daemon also started to attack. He threw fire, lightning, water, wind at him and he also changed the Earth which almost caused him to the impaled by some of the nails. If it weren't for his training he would've been fatally wounded, if not outright dead from the attack.

'Come on come on come on! I have to kill it right now!' Kirei thought to himself as he ran towards it.

He took note of the nails coming towards him as he formulated a plan. Then to the Daemon's surprise he used the nails as footing to run which helped as the ground is currently being manipulated by it. It sent a torrent of flames towards him which he dodged by jumping down in contrast to the Daemon's expectations as it has attacked upwards with lightning.

Kirei used reinforcement and strengthened himself to the maximum before shooting towards it like a bullet. More nails appeared as he twisted his body and escaped it but some of his clothes and inner armor were destroyed as he also got a cut on his right cheek as he grunted. But he had managed to reach the Daemon as he stabbed it with Sancraid's Black Key due to its longer blade.

"Kyrie Eleison!" Kirei completed the chant as the next moment the Key glowed.

Then a white aura of some sort completely covered the Daemon as it screamed in pain.

"Impossible! I am God's messenger! I cannot die!" The Daemon screamed.

"Go to oblivion you fake!" Kirei said as he stabbed it again.

The Daemon screamed as he saw cracks starting to appear around the reality marble before the Daemon seemed to burst in light as he closed his eyes and is then sent back from the force. The next sensation he felt was of him hitting something as he opened his eyes.

What greeted his eyes is the familiar sight of the forest but what really took his attention is the mutated body of Sancraid. The Daemon seems to have been destroyed by the spell. Since Sancraid is a physical being his body is still there just, it's now mutated now. It wings have been charred along with its body, hands and legs.

"Thank God. If I hadn't killed it so quickly then I would've died. Seriously, if it weren't for the fact that I knew Kyrie Eleison then it would surely be my death." Kirei said to himself as he leaned on the tree as he panted.

He is currently sweating and blood is leaking from the wounds on his cheek, left shoulder right thigh, and left stomach area from the wounds. Him also using a good amount of his mana to get that last boost of speed has left him a bit tired.

"Well, maybe I can use this to my advantage." Kirei said as he looked at the corpse.
