11 10. Stopping A War And Saving A Girl

Kirei is now an 18 year old boy now, and it has been two years since he had defeated a Vampire who would've become a Dead Apostle. His various contributions before and after that battle had gained him great admiration and fame inside and outside the Church. (A/N: He looks like Kirei from Fate/Zero.)

In the Church he is a legendary exorcist who is known far and wide amongst them as almost everyone knows about him. His fame has increased greatly and he is a seen as a genuine saint and hero by the various members of the Church due to his contributions to the protection of humanity.

Amongst the Magus community he is feared for his effective kills as amongst them, becoming his target is the same as being dead. The only question was when and how he would kill them. He is an icon of fear among the magus and it has helped the Church immensely as magus don't do experiments in fear of having him hunt them down.

Amongst the Vampires he is a very impressive human who has garnered their attention due to his skills and the amount of Vampires he has managed to kill. They may be Vampires but some of them were former humans so they were very interested in him. He was a topic of focus amongst the Apostle Ancestors due to his feats, one of which is defeating a Daemon which is no easy feat for a normal human. And since they mostly serve their own interests they didn't care much about who he killed.

And right now he is meditating in a lotus position with his hands making the shape of a circle on his lap as he has his eyes closed. Over time he has also started to meditate and use Buddhist teachings as well alongside his Church ones. He prays to God for help while doing meditation to help become more calm and control his mind. As he meditated someone knocked on his door but he didn't move from his place.

"What is it?" Kirei asked with his eyes closed.

"The cardinal requires your presence." The person on the other side said to him.

"I will be there." Kirei said as he opened his eyes.

He heard the sound of footsteps going away before he got up and walked to the door and opened it and walked out of his room. He made his way to the Cardinals office during which he passed various other Church staff who greeted him with a smile while he returned one of his own as he walked past them. They would look at it him with wide eyes when they saw him and with eyes of admiration as he walked past them.

He reached the Cardinals office and knocked on the door and got the permission to come in as he opened the door and walked in. He looked at the cardinal who is now much older and he knew that it won't be long before he would be replaced for another, unless of course if he manages to live much longer than he expects.

"Kirei my child, it is good to see you." The Cardinal said with a smile.

"It is my pleasure and honor to see you as well Cardinal." Kirei said with a small smile.

"It is mine child. But I degrees, I know you to be one who likes to do your job quickly so I will be brief about what you have to do." The Cardinal said to him.

"What is my mission?" Kirei asked as he looked at the Cardinal.

"I want you to stop a war." The Cardinal said causing his eyes to widen.

Time skip

"So this is a war huh." Kirei said as he is looking at a battlefield.

He is currently at a safe distance from the battlefield, the borders of Poland and Belarus. He doesn't know what caused the war but what he does know is that this war can't be allowed to go on. The Church can't do much due to a lot of the people in both countries supporting the war as they firmly believe that they

So the Church came to another answer, kill every single soldier on the battlefield whether they are from Poland or Belarus and the resulting aftermath of the battle which will be broadcasted to both countries by the Church using the media will cause them to lose the motivation to fight as the both of them lost their soldiers without winning anything.

Kirei who is currently hiding in the forest got out of his priest outfit and wore metal armors on his chest, arms and legs. He reinforced them before using reinforcement on himself as well. After that he opened the box containing his weapons which are many guns, grenades etc which are used in modern warfare. He couldn't use his black keys since they didn't want there to be much complications.

After he got ready, he strapped on the machinegun and took the guns and grenades and armed himself with two semi-automatic machine guns on either hand. He then put on a black mask as well. Then he shot from his place causing dust to be kicked up.

On the side of Belarus, their soldiers are currently firing at the Poland soldiers as they are fighting. But then the radio of one soldier came as he stopped shooting to answer it.

"What is it?!" He shouted to it.

"Someone is attack—!" The other voice said before it stopped.

This caused the soldier to become surprised before an explosion to his right caught his and his comrades attention. The sound of frantic shooting and screaming can be heard by him before Kirei emerged from the smoke guns blazing as he ran through the soldiers as he killed them with his guns.

The soldiers though they tried to shoot him weren't fast enough as Kirei killed them before they could shoot due to his increased reaction speed. And as he ran he dropped grenades with their pins removed as they blew up their place as they tried to shoot the mysterious new man who were killing them and wreaking havoc at their side.

From the place of Poland, their soldiers are surprised by the sudden havoc being created at the enemy lines as the place was being blown up by grenades that Kirei is setting off. As he ran around he caught the sight of something which surprised him.

'Isn't that girl the one who helped Kiritsugu? So he got her from here?' Kirei thought to himself as he looked at a young child soldier who would later become known as Maiya Hisau.

The girl looked like she didn't have a soul as she just responded to his attacks and shot at him but he dodged them and managed to make his way to her easily before disarming her and knocking her out. He then threw grenades around him before picking her and her gun up and running away as the place blew up. He placed the girl a bit outside the battlefield before he ran back.

After that he massacred the rest of the army of Belarus before he moved away while the soldiers at Poland became alert as they looked at the enemy lines. Few minutes passed as nothing happened and they thought that it might be one of their supporters who helped them and celebrated.

Only for explosions to start at their side as well before their fellow soldiers also started to get massacred by Kirei who went there guns blazing as he also shot a few rocket launchers at the Poland soldiers as they were blown away by it before they were all killed by Kirei. The only thing they could do was shoot frantically and pointlessly before they were all killed by Kirei.

After it was all said and done Kirei stopped in middle of the battlefield which is covered in smoke and dust clouds as blood is on him as he looked around himself at the dead bodies of the countless soldiers that he had killed. He wiped a bit of blood on his face as he looked at it as he tried to stop the feeling of happiness he is feeling from the massacre.

"I should get the girl and get out of here." Kirei said to himself before he ran away from there.

He then got to the girl and picked her up before he left the place. Soon after the news of the deaths of their soldiers is spread throughout the countries. Kirei who is currently at a safe house with the girl is watching the news when he heard the girl stir and wake up from her place on the bed.

Their temporary residence is a small house with a TV, table and bed alongside chairs. The girl herself is noted by Kirei to be only 12 years old at best if his estimate is correct, 6 years younger than him. She immediately got up and looked around herself in alarm before she noticed Kirei as she looked at him with blank and calculating eyes as he looked back at her.

"There's no need to be wary of me. I have got you out of the warzone." Kirei said to her.

Her eyes widened when she heard that before they went back to their usual indifferent gaze, something which rubbed Kirei the wrong way.

"So that means that I belong to you." The girl said surprising him.

"What do you mean?" Kirei asked a bit surprised.

"I was a possession of the army and now that they are dead and you have got me here that means that I belong to you now." The girl said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

'I never read much about her but it looks like she doesn't have a sense of self. Maybe because she was used as a child soldier she doesn't possess it and since I got her out she considers herself mine. I will have to help her with that mentality.' Kirei thought to himself.

"You are not my possession, nor do you belong to me. At any case, I am leaving this place and am planning to take you with me. Do you wish to come with me?" Kirei said to her.

"If that is what you want then I will follow your orders." The girl said to him as he sighed.

'I hope I will be able to help her find a sense of self.' Kirei thought to himself as he looked at her.

(A/N: Since my college has started my updates will be scarce. Also, should I give another name to her or just stick with the one Kiritsugu gave her? Give me your opinions.)
