In the days following Johan's departure, Jamela and Hank found themselves in a post-adventure slump. Gone were the wild antics and boisterous laughter that had filled their lives during Siwanna's Dutch friend's visit. Instead, they were left with the sobering realization that they would soon have to embark on a quest to break Jamela's family curse, which was about as appealing as a durian smoothie on a hot Bangkok day.
