05 -Hands of God

I am the patriarch of the blue Jade clan, as chief of the clan I had many sons and daughters, but there was a special one, I liked his mother very much, so I ended up having a special affection.

But after his mother's death he fell into drink and lust, a big disappointment, he even embarrassed the clan by having a son with a servant.

After the birth of the boy I was happy, he had the same hair color as my old wife, this time my affection for him increased.

The boy grew lazy, he didn't have much talent, but I still saw hope in him, but in case of something bad, soon young I married him to the daughter of a small clan.

I was happy to hear this, although he has no talent at all, with enough effort he can reach the level of fighter, at least this way he will not be disrespected and could marry a beautiful lady from the secondary house.

On the fateful day he appeared in front of me, his change was visible, he wore a strange outfit which had great elegance, but also didn't obstruct his movements, even though he was only 14 years old, his body looked like a well trained young adult, even with long sleeves you could see his muscles well made, beyond his size, he had grown a lot in a few days, before he barely reached my shoulders, now he was just a few fingers lower than me.

A marriage agreement was something "sacred" there were few reasons to break up with them, only if one of the bride and groom didn't want to continue, even then the person would have to give good reasons, emotions were not a valid justification.

Even if one side is a beggar or a cripple, if the agreement was accepted by both parties there was no turning back, cancelling a marriage without reasons was a great dishonor and could even destroy a clan, nobody would want to make agreements with a group that doesn't keep its word.
