"Well? What is it then? You should talk it out with me before running towards the training ground. The trainees would definitely appreciate it if you weren't enraged when you arrive." Rutley said courtly as he knelt down before Calder and grabbed his injured hand. "Don't waste your time or the supplies." Calder said bitterly as he pulled his hand away mid treatment. "Honestly." Rutley sighed as he got up. "What the hell is wrong then?" He asked with a harsh tone.
"Nothing. I just don't want you to take care of my wound." Calder muttered. "Don't you still want to do your private baking class with Nana Gi?" Rutley asked. "Not really... It's pointless now." Calder said as he averted his gaze. Rutley grabbed Calder's hand and yanked it forward. "You're an idiot. Just ask Lady Britille to go with you instead." Rutley lectured as he dressed Calder's wound again.
"It's meaningless if it's not Syria." Calder said in a feeble voice. "You can't be so biased when it comes to both ladies! Calder suck it up and ask Lady Britille! You already put so much work in asking Nana Gi to do this class. Are you really going to tell her not to help you now?! Calder, I am sick and tired of telling you that you have to spend time with both or else Lady Syria will be hurt in the end." Rutley ranted as he tied off the wrap.
".... I know but it was meant for Syria. I just wanted to see he smile especially if it's something that she would really enjoy." Calder said as tears started to pool in his eyes. Rutley flinched. "Well, you tried and she ran off crying there's no use now." Rutley said as he averted his gaze and started to turn red. "That's why it hurts.... I made her cry." Calder replied pitifully. Rutley covered his face and turned from Calder. "W-what if y-you asked you b-brother instead?" Rutley asked from behind his hands.
Calder was confused, he wasn't sure why Rutley was acting so weird but felt thankful for the small amount of privacy. He brought up his big hands and brushed back his tears. "No, I can't. He might get mad at Syria and take back his favour." Calder admitted with a heavy sigh. "So you know about the favour." Rutley said coolly as he brought down his hands. "Yes and I don't blame her. If everything I know is true then that man is a horrible monster and deserves to die, painfully." Calder said as he got up from the bed.
"What are you talking about? He? ... Her father, Count Trent but he is an honorable man." Rutley said as he turned to face Calder. "No, no he is not." Calder said as his facial expression changed into something close to a demon. "Send some men to his Estate in the Gardenia Forest and have them check the basement. There should be a hidden door behind the wine rack. Check the furthest wine barrel, it's fake. There should be a switch that will allow you to pull out the massive rack."
"If you find a massive room stained with fluids and reacking of old flesh and rot.... Then have the men search for a ragged women locked away in a dark corner, she will have the same amber coloured eyes as Syria. Rescue her, take her to a safe house under my brother's name and then burn the Estate to the ground." Calder instructed before taking his first steps forward. "And if they find nothing?" Rutley asked as his gaze stayed focus to the wall Calder's back was facing.
"If I'm wrong, well, compensate the man. I shouldn't believe everything I hear right?" Calder said with a small smile but his eyes reflected his utter disgust. "Then where are you going now?" Rutley asked as Calder kept walking. "Well you fixed my hand. I might as well take my baking lesson. I don't want to disrespect Nana Gi." Calder said with a small chuckle then walked out the room.
One corridor away from the kitchen Calder slumped against the wall and groaned. "I said that but now I lost all my courage." Calder mumbled to himself. "No! Nana Gi is waiting!" Calder said excitedly as he pulled himself from the wall and fist pumped. "Maybe I can just walk in and, and, a-n-d, Oh my G*d I can't even take a step forward!" Calder shouted as he covered his face with his hand and crouched down.
"Um, your Highness?" A small voice called out. Calder peeled his hands off his face and looked up. Lady Britille was looking down at his face with an angelic smile. "What are you doing here?" He asked with a cold tone. Lady Britille's smile fell and her eyes started to tremble. "I, I heard some shouting and came to see what the problem was." Lady Britille said with a pitiful voice.
"And the first thing you thought of was to go towards potential conflict? You don't seem like the type to face someone." Calder said as he narrowed his gaze and slowly stood up. "Y-yes and n-no. I don't like conflict but I like to lend a shoulder for people." Lady Britille said as she started to twist her fingers together. She then looked up at Calder's face from under her eyelashes.
Calder was confused. He stared at Lady Britille then noticed something different. Her lady in waiting seemed to be missing. "Where is your lady in waiting?" Calder asked. "Veronica? When we saw you were crouched down she went to get your brother." Lady Britille explained as her confidence rose. ".... Why?" Calder asked. "I thought you needed him." Lady Britille answered. "Is that what it means to give a shoulder?" Calder asked.
"Yes and no. I just know how hard it is to be a noble. Trying to keep your emotions under control, always wanting to look perfect and hiding your weaknesses. I just want to be someone that people can open up to." Lady Britille replied nonchalantly. "Then what?" Calder asked. "Sorry?" Lady Britille said as her gaze suddenly darkened.
