Chapter 91

A little far away, Sam, Lily, and Nycta have been on the run.

*Gulp gulp*

Sam drinks from a water bottle that was just thrown at him by the masked girl.

*Whoosh*

He throws it back to her. "Thanks, Lily!"

*Pa*

"No need to thank me, Sammy!"

Lily smiles underneath her mask as she catches the bottle. Pulling her mask down, she proceeds to drink the last of what is left. It is an indirect kiss, but at this point, Lily does not really feel bashful or anything. Their relationship is not something that a mere touch of the lips will make it awkward anymore.

The fact is that it is just a matter of time until she becomes his totally. Her azure eyes sparkle in happiness just by thinking of that not-so-distant future. The feeling of him accepting her is still so surreal, she does not feel that this is the reality. And in all honesty, everything would be perfect if it is just Sam and her alone.

Sadly, that is not the case.

"Nycta, how are Yui and Yuno?" Sam asks Nycta who is running by his right side. Hearing those names, their arm of Lily feels a bit tingly. She still remembers the burn they caused back in the hospital on that day.

Sam has only seen their angelic faces. But Lily knows deep down they are a pair of demons, capable of making horrific decisions when needed. Not that she is not the same, though. In fact, they all are twisted beyond Sam's knowing.

"...They are still fine. However, I can feel the condition of Yui. The seed of void magic cannot sense everything, but the feedback from Yui's body feels abnormal." Nycta turns her head towards the direction they are running and speaks in a serious tone. Her small voice appears to be heavier than normal.

Unlike Nycta, who can read his thoughts, Lily does not. She understands that he must be very worried right now. Yet, she can not force herself to care that much. Only someone who can actually read his mind will be able to feel exactly how anxious Sam is right now.

"We need to hurry up!" Sam exclaims. He frowns his eyebrows deeply upon hearing the bad news. The two, especially Yui, are very capable on their own. They have excellent magical analyzing skills so they can easily make counter-attacks or escape plans. If they somehow are harmed, it must be a formidable foe. It can be one or even a few of the zombie commanders Sam has encountered, or something even much worse.

The Hero.

Thinking about that, his nervousness grows even bigger than before as he picks up the pace. He can hear the drum-like heartbeats in his ears. His whole body heats thanks to the blood being pumped much faster than before.

Only after facing the Hero that Sam could understand the difference between them. After the blood binds he has received from the girls, Sam is indeed much stronger than before. Still, he is sure the gap is still there.

Of course, even when the Hero is vastly more powerful than Sam, if that piece of crap dares scratch Yui or Yuno, he will deliver absolute hell on that fucker with every single fiber inside of his body.

Thanks to Nycta's Mind-Controlled magic user, he has been able to preserve most of his mana and stamina instead of using them. The slaves have done a great job at keeping them safe while killing the zombies. With their addition to the team, in terms of fighting power, Sam as well as the two girls by his sides are once more at their peak.

They have been running with great speed thanks to Physical Enhancement. Within the next 5 to 10 minutes or so, Sam will reach Yui and Yuno.

"Huh!"

"What the?!"

Suddenly, the place where they are going to lights up. Although it is still very far away, they could still see the strange occurrence since it is most noticeable.

From the ground, three light orbs fly upward. They immediately cancel the darkness of the night with their luminance, bringing a bit of warmth to the cold night.

That would be great for the one who can perform such a large-scale Light magic spell. They can see their surroundings much better and act much better.

Those who are not the user, on the other hand, is in great danger. Yui and Yuno are both not proficient in Light magic. If the Light magic user means harm, then it is certainly not safe for them.

Sam clutches his fists as he screams inside his head, begging the Light user is not hostile toward the twins.

"How are they right now, Nycta?" Sam again asks for their conditions.

To which, Nycta replies: "Unchanged."

*Sigh*

He exhales.

"Let's not conserve energy. It is about time that we group up. Seeing that happening..." He points at the three light orbs floating in the air. "...I can not possibly think for myself only."

"Understood." Nycta and Lily nod their heads.

*Rumble rumble*

Unbeknownst to Sam and the girls, the light orbs were only the beginning.

Even from far away, with the help of the light, they can see water forming a single huge wave. It keeps growing bigger and bigger, from being as small as a pin in their visual fields, it grows up to that is much higher than the buildings. After reaching that height, the giant tsunami goes up and arches back to where it was coming from. Once that is finished, the whole thing freezes.

It is Hero's Ice Dome spell.

The temperature drops drastically until the breaths of the three are visible as a white mist.

"The water freezes?!! That fast?!" Lily is flabbergasted by the scene. The one performing that spell must be a level 7.

Nycta stays silent. She can feel the chaotic state in Sam's mind right now. He is extremely worried about the two other girls.

"I will probably need to borrow your mana, girls." Looking at the Ice Dome in the distance, Sam informs Lily and Nycta.

"My body is already yours, Darling." Nycta simply says.

Lily's eyes sparkle. "There is no need for such courtesy to me, Sammy. You know I won't say no."

"Thank you...I will make it up to you later." From the palm of his hands, Sam creates a Metal Chain. "This will be very uncomfortable." He looks at the two apologetically.

"Don't worry, Darling!" Knowing what his plan is, Nycta comes closer and holds his hip. Her full breast presses heavily onto his body. "You should come closer, too." She turns at Lily.

The masked girl is a little confused but complies nonetheless.

"Yes, Lily. Please endure this a little!" Sam wraps the metal chain tightly around him and the two girls. "All set. If it gets loose, please try to hold on to the chain. Now, let's fly!"

Prime Wind element: Space.

Space Magic: Space Walk.

*Boom*

Sam kicks off the ground into the air. With Physical enhancement still active, he jumps from invisible platforms to invisible platforms created by Space Walk.

With his thoughts always being visible in her mind, Nycta supports him with Gust, a basic wind spell to push him a little further. Seeing that, Lily also follows.

She now understands why he would need to ask for their mana. Prime Elements consume energy at a ridiculous rate. Of course, it has its merits, as well. Running in the air is much faster than running on the ground, as they can get through any obstacle. It probably cut down the time of getting to their destination by at least half.

The Ice Dome quickly gets bigger in the visual fields, indicating one big battle drawing close.

Inside the dome, Yui and Yuno are still hiding in the building.

They need to figure out what to do and fast.
