Darkness to light.

Gwen felt like her head was about to split in half. Her vision was blurry but it became clear after a while. She tried to move but her body felt weak. Her hands were tied to the chair she was seated in. She looked around but it was of no use. She was in an empty dark room. The only light was from a small window on the wall. The moon could be seen.

Slowly the memories came back. She'd told Mike that she had to use the bathroom. It all seemed so fresh .

" I'll be back. In the meantime, get yourself someone to dance with. " She teased him before leaving.

The bar was crowded but luckily the bathrooms were a bit free. Gwen quickly relieved herself and got out. She noticed a man standing outside the ladies' bathroom. Must be a pervert , she thought to herself. She was walking past him when he whistled at her.

" Where are you going when I came here for you ?" He took out a pocket knife a pointed it at her. Gwen had been through this numerous times before. Must be from one of the rival gangs. She took out her gun. She always kept it on her body luckily.

" Don't mess with me. " She threatened him. The man just laughed . He swung the knife but Gwen dodged it. He was fast.

" Dont make this harder for us and for yourself . " As he spoke two other men came and surrounded her. Gwen smiled she wasn't going to go down without a fight. One of the men charged at her but she quickly round kicked him in the face. He grunted as he held his now crooked nose . Immediately , the other grabbed her from the back. He put a knife to her throat while another came at her with a knife. It seemed they didn't want to raise an alarm hence they didn't use guns. Gwen had to use this opportunity. She forced herself free and the knife cut through her skin. She didn't let the bleeding distract her. She fired her gun thrice but each bullet found it's target. The three men fell to the ground . Gwen touched her neck. Blood was flowing from the cut. She kicked the asshole who'd cut her.

" Idiot!" She stepped over him. Just then a lady who'd been standing there ran screaming. Gwen fixed her gun at the back of her skirt.

" Don't leave just yet." A voice came from behind her but before she could turn , she felt her head being shoved into the mirror on the wall with a terrible force. The mirror shattered and the shards came crashing down. Gwen fell to the floor. Blood poured down her face. She held her head and winced. She shifted some glass shards she felt in her flesh.She tried to get up but she was hit on the head again with an even more intense force. She felt numb and soon everything went dark. Before her eyes shut she gathered her strength and threw her gun to the floor just incase Mike came . She hoped he would see it.

" Are you alright now?" A man came out of the darkness.Gwen recognized him. He was the guy who was arguing with Bain . He dragged a chair and sat opposite her. He had a smug look on his face. " I have to thank you. You helped me realize how useless my men are. All three of them couldn't handle one of you. You're quite capable."

" Why don't you untie me and let me show you just how capable I am ?"

" I can't , unfortunately. " He pinched her cheek. " I told Bain he'd pay for shooting my brother. Now I'll take everything that matters to him . Starting with you. " His hand encircled her neck and he started to strangle her. Gwen squeezed her eyes shut and gasped for air. She felt tears slide down her face. She started to feel lightheaded. She didn't know when she drifted into unconsciousness again.

Bain paced around the room with his hands behind his back.He cursed under his breath .

" Bain , it's Rocky's men. It's confirmed." Mike's words stopped Bain's pacing. Bain took out his phone but he received a call as soon as it came out his pocket. It was Rocky.

" How did you know I was missing you?" Bain laughed sarcastically. " Listen , I just shot your thief of a brother but now...I promise to skin your entire family alive and make you watch."

" Ugh! That was intense. " Rocky laughed. " Now listen. The girl is at the old Miller's cinema. Come save her but I'm not sure she'll be alive by the time you get here."
