Chapter 38, The Quick Emotional Knight.

"Ehehehehe~" I giggled as I stared at the girls from a window, standing on a tree from the outside.

"Didn't I say I'll meet you in a few years?~ you two look really pretty now~" I snickered, eying them both down.

I gripped the branch tightly so I won't fall, I looked down from the tree and then back at the window.

"Nikami changed a lot huh~ so cheerful back then~ Nobles seriously have it hard..." I sighed, slowly lying down on a big branch that can support my weight.

"My feelings for you still remained the same though~ I can't wait to play with you, Ni! ka! mi! chan!~" My eye turned towards the window, staring at the three of them leaving.

"I wonder!~ what broke you?!~ Oh man, I feel bad somehow..." A leaf slowly fell, going to my face. But I swiftly caught it before it could land.

"I need to know! I'm supposed to be the one who breaks you!" I pouted, folding my hands and throwing away the leaf.

"That reminds me… That white-haired girl…" A large grin was plastered across my face.

"Ehehehehe…" I chuckled slowly, but then it slowly turned into a crazed laugh.

Nikami POV

The three of us entered the courtyard, my face slightly going pale.

[Rai… Raijin is… Supposedly here…] I thought, looking around the courtyard.

My breath slowly gets heavy due to anxiety.

To my surprise, I didn't see Raijin or her silhouette.

"..." I stood there in silence, confused on why she wasn't here.

"So Nika, what is it?" Shukona turned towards me, folding her arms.

"Indeed Shiromoru-sama, I am curious as well…" Yasachu turned towards me as well.

[Huh…? Am I wrong? Tch, damn it. Now I need an excuse, but… I'm sure the last two capture targets are here…] I thought, slowly nodding to myself.

[It may have been a few years since I have played the game, but I can at least remember some parts of it. I am sure they are here.] I thought yet again, now more confident at my beliefs.

"Just wait." My eyes went to them as I assured them.

"Oh? Uhm… Okay." Yasachu was getting more curious and curious about what I was looking for.

"Hmph… Very well then." Shukona looked around for what I was looking for.

"Ah?!" Yasachu let out a small sound of surprise as she saw someone.

A picture flashed once again, creating a CG to fill my eyes.

I saw a girl with messy light green hair, putting her sword back into its scabbard. The sword had aquamarine gems engraved into it, a more larger gem was on the end of the hilt of the sword.

Her light green hair was reminiscent of Kikyou's hair, it was also tied up in a ponytail. Though she had large bangs covering her right eye, and it was only at shoulder length.

Her only visible red-eye was staring lovingly at her sword, on the other side of the large bangs, had two hair clips similar to the gems on her sword.

The girl had light armor on, she had a breastplate, shoulder pads, and a gauntlet. It was plated in gold and silver.

To add on to her strangeness, the light green-haired girl had a cheetah tail and ears. The left ear had a slight cut to it, but it seems to be old.

Shukona turned towards Yasachu, confused at her sudden noise.

"Ugh, what is it, commoner? Why did you scream like that?" Shukona glared at Yasachu, feeling annoyed.

"U-uhm! I-is that… A knight?" Yasachu pointed at the girl with messy hair, her head turned towards Shukona.

"Hm? Well, it's not unusual to see a knight here. It is the Afosíosi Magic Academy after al-" Shukona slowly turned towards the girl in the middle of her sentence and stopped on her tracks when she actually laid eyes on the girl.

"K-kh?! Her hair?! Her tie?! Even Her coll-collar?!! How inelegant! This isn't how a lady is supposed to look!" Shukona rushed towards the messy-haired knight, currently furious about how the girl was dressing so sloppily.

"Ama-amatarini-sama?!" Yasachu was amazed when Shukona started to go towards the messy-haired knight.

[Oh well… Saved by a capture target. Since they are both distracted by her… I don't need to make an excuse...] I thought, staring blankly at Shukona. Inner monologuing again.  

"Huh?" The messy-haired knight let out a sound of surprise since an angry tree was slowly coming towards her.

Her ears twitched in response to this and put back her sword on her holster belt on the side of her hip.

She tilted her head and smiled at Shukona.

"How may I help you?" She asked with a gentle smile.

"First of all, please fix your tie and your collar! And why is your hair such a mess?!" Shukona exclaimed, pointing at the messy-haired girl.

"A-ah…! Forgive me for my sluggish attire!" The messy haired knight's eyes started to water but she knelt down and placed her left hand at her chest. Her head lowered down, apologizing.

"Eh? She's crying?!" Yasachu let out a sound of shock, slightly in awe as well.

She has never seen a noble or a knight cry! And as easily as this?! Even if the messy-haired knight was crying, she still kept her cool and knelt down apologizing.

This school really is such a weird place, seeing so many new things… And she just entered this school!

"Wha-what are you doing?! Get up! For a noble to kneel down so easily… How inelegant." Shukona commanded her, even she was startled at her sudden sobbing.

The knight with the messy hair looked up at Shukona, tears still falling down her face.

The girl looked serious and determined, a complete contrast to her tears.

"I apologize, you must have the wrong idea. I am indeed a noble but please address me as a knight. If you could." The messy-haired

Knight's tears slowly calmed down, staring persistently at Shukona.

Yasachu went wide-eyed, even if the girl was crying… She was mature enough to keep her pride as a knight, her tears not hindering her.

Perhaps because she cries so easily, she can control her emotions better? Yasachu didn't know. But Yasachu felt like this woman was determined no matter what would happen.

Add that to her natural quickness due to her being a half-cheetah, and you get a girl who's agility and speed off the charts.] I thought, staring at the messy-haired girl and Shukona.

Shukona stared at the messy-haired knight for a couple of seconds, completely dumbfounded at what the girl was saying.

But she regained her senses soon after, sighing to the girl and nodded at her.

"It is garish behavior for a noble to act like a knight… Especially a lady… But if that is what you wish, I shall take up on that offer. Now, may you please stand up." Shukona folded her hands and stared at the messy-haired knight.

"Very well, and… Thank you." The messy-haired knight stood up and bowed to Shukona, smiling.
