In Annabelle's Classroom
Diana: (sneaks from her desk and moves to Annabelle's desk) Hey, guess what?
Annabelle: (With all curiosity) What?
Diana: We're going clubbing tonight and you're going with me.
Annabelle: You know I can't. I can't go with you.
Diana: I know you're a very reserved person and you don't like going to such places, but what if I tell you tonight is going to be the best night you've ever had?. Not only that, you'll get to meet new people too.
Annabelle: (Being sarcastic) Do you always meet new people at the club?
Diana: Girl, where do you think I met all my 7 boyfriends?
Annabelle: More reason why I shouldn't go.
Diana: (Using puppy eyes on Annabelle) Common!!!. Please!!!. Besides, I have a surprise gift for you.
Annabelle: In my 19-years of life, my only surprise gift has to come from the club. Diana you're one sneaky person. (smiles excitingly) Okay I'll go.
Diana: (Hugs her in excitement) Yes,yes!!. Thank you.
Annabelle: On one condition.
Diana: (exclaims) Anything!
Annabelle: I have to be home before 10.
Diana: Deal.
An Annabelle's Apartment at 7:30pm
Clarissa is helping Annabelle get dressed while Eline does Annabelle's makeup.
Clarissa: (To Annabelle) She's coming to pick you up in 30 minutes.
Annabelle: (Reluctant) I really don't want to go.
Eline: Sorry but, I'm already doing your makeup. Do you know how much this makeup kit costs?.
Clarissa: Bring us leftovers okay?.
Eline: I want Ice cream.
Clarissa: Food for me.
Annabelle: They have food at the club?, wow!.
1 hour Later at the City Club(only clubs that allow under 21). Diana and Annabelle walk in holding hands. They finally arrive at a reserved table with Diana's Boyfriend and her guy friends waiting for them. Diana had a few of her female friends come over too.
Diana: (to the group) Guys, this is Annabelle my very good friend. Single and searching.
Annabelle: (Feeling embarrassed) She's joking.
Diana: (Laughs) Anyway, Anna, meet my boyfriend Jayson, his friends (referring to the guys sitting next to him) and my friends (referring to the girls).
Group: Nice to meet you, nice to meet you Annabelle. She's so pretty.
Annabelle: (Shaking hands with them as a form of greeting) nice to meet you.
Diana: (Pulls Annabelle to sit beside her) Let's sit. (They all pick their glasses and raise them. It is non-alcoholic) let the party begin!!!
All: Cheers!!!
Annabelle: (To Diana, looking around in amazement) This place is so big.
Diana: I knew you'd like it. We can also take pictures later.
Annabelle: Right!, it's been long I updated my Instagram account.
30 minutes later, Diana takes Annabelle to a big and reserved room, the tables decorated with flowers and lit candles.
Annabelle: This looks reserved. Why did you bring me here?.
Diana: (grabs Annabelle's hands softly to lighten her mood) I know you said you wouldn't date anymore, but I brought you here today so you could have a blind date.
Annabelle: (surprisingly) What?
Diana: I know you're shocked, but calm down and take a deep breath.
Annabelle: Take a deep breath?. Is this the surprise gift you were talking about?. You know I don't want to meet new people. I don't even know if I'm well dressed, or if I'm pretty enough.
Diana: You were brave enough to meet my friends. I know you can do this. Just go sit down and relax. It's going to be great I promise. They're all harmless.
Annabelle: You said a blind date.
Diana: (suddenly taken aback) Make it dates. You're here on blind dates. So cheer up.
Annabelle: If anything goes wrong I'm never going anywhere with you again.
Diana: Honey, trust me. You'll do great (smiles and hugs her). Have fun (leaves the room and Annabelle walks slowly and sits on one of the decorated tables. 10 minutes later Guy-1 walks in,tall and dark in complexion, not bad looking, he's dressed in a black suit)
Guy-1: (sits on the same table as Annabelle) Hi. I believe you're called Annabelle (extends his hands to greet her and she does same reluctantly). My name is George and I recently graduated from college.
Annabelle: (Not feeling the mood) Oh...
Guy-1: (Not intimidated by her slow reply) What about you?
Annabelle: what?
Guy-1: Are you still in school or...(Annabelle interrupts him)
Annabelle: How old are you again?.
Guy-1: (Feeling slightly uncomfortable) I... never mentioned my age earlier. Forgive my manners. I'm 25-years-old.
Annabelle: (rolls her eye balls away from him in disapproval) oh.
Blind Date 2, Guy-2
Guy-2: I'm Liam and this is my second year in college. I major in Business mathematics. I was told you're a soon to be Computer Engineer. (Confidently) I love and admire female empowerment. What a man can do, a woman can do it ten times better.
Annabelle: (Feels insulted) Interesting!.
Blind Date, Guy-3
Guy-3: You know, I must confess I find you really attractive. Fair skin. You have a beautiful body too. You're just my type.
Annabelle: (so this one is a pervert) I never said you were my type( they both laugh as if they were joking around).
Blind Date, Guy-4
Guy-4: So what's your favorite hobby?. I love swimming, I play soccer, and of-course I love going to clubs
Annabelle: (these guys are weigh to honest and stupid at the same time) I just love to sleep.
Guy-4: (She's so weird and stupid) oooh...
Guy-5
Guy-5: When I first walked into this room, I saw a good person in you immediately I set my eyes on you.
Annabelle: So do I.
Guy-5: So, what do you do for a living?
Annabelle: I take care of the elderly.
Guy-5: You work in a nursing home!
Annabelle: I do. What do you do for a living?
Guy-5: (Suddenly becomes speechless for about 30 seconds and then he finally speaks ) I... I'm still kind of looking for a part time job..
Annabelle: (Of all the guys I met today, the one whom I thought I could finally communicate with is jobless. He kind of looks like a play boy too). I wish you all the best.
Guy-5: (forcing a smile) thank you (this feels so weird. I can't believe I told her I'm actually broke).
