She felt a gnawing hunger in her stomach, as if she hadn't eaten for days. "Aiyah, I'm hungry enough to eat a whole cow." She complained, licking her lips. She wondered where she could find some food on this island. She thought of asking Ah Xian but she quickly dismissed the idea. She didn't want to seem greedy or ungrateful. She was already staying here for free, and she had nothing to repay them. "What should I do?" She asked herself, feeling hopeless.
"So what if I ask Ah Xian for foods? Let's ask him for some leftover." She couldn't bear the hunger any longer. She decided to swallow her pride. She changed her mind in an instant, driven by her stomach. She got up from the bed and headed to the door.
