As Henry walked through the halls of the castle, he kept a cold and unreadable expression on his face. Even though many had drunk themselves silly, no one was drunk enough to bother Henry while he walked quickly by.
He promised himself that he wouldn't leave if the king was still in attendance because he didn't want to be rude.
Once he entered the dining hall and saw that the king hadn't rejoined the festivities yet, Henry decided he really was going to leave. It sounded miserable being around drunk knights when he had little desire to celebrate.
Sure, he had made it home, but what was the point of any of it?
That hopeless thought crossed his mind and he had to resist the urge to put his hands on his head and shake himself.
He needed another reason to keep going forward.
