I Want To Be A Romance Novel's Love Interest

*A slow-burn fantasy romance. The weak to strong tale of a peasant on the path of finding the love he deserves. Despite his bad luck of being born a peasant, he can't help daydreaming whenever he sees a knight in shining armor riding away with a beautiful lady. Someone like him isn't supposed to be anything but a stable hand - working hard until his last breath just like his father. So why does he feel so compelled to seek out a life much greater than he could ever hope for? He wonders what the view will look like from the top, but he won't know until he gets there!

Reality Returns

The princess and newly appointed knight pulled away from each other after there was a lull in the music.

Princess Marie couldn't help giggling up at the knight and she didn't step very far from Henry.

"You're fun to spend time with," she said. "I feel I don't have to be so on guard with you."

If that was her not being on guard, Henry wondered how much more perfect she could be. There wasn't a single flaw he had seen regarding the princess all evening. The only thing wrong with her was the way that she was too good for him.

"I'm only on guard because I don't want something to happen to you," he admitted. "Should we go inside before I get in trouble for keeping the princess all evening?"

She grabbed his arm again and smiled.

"Only if you promise to dance with me tomorrow as well," she insisted.

If it was in the ballroom or out in the garden again, he would dance with her whenever and wherever she wanted.
