I Want To Be A Romance Novel's Love Interest

*A slow-burn fantasy romance. The weak to strong tale of a peasant on the path of finding the love he deserves. Despite his bad luck of being born a peasant, he can't help daydreaming whenever he sees a knight in shining armor riding away with a beautiful lady. Someone like him isn't supposed to be anything but a stable hand - working hard until his last breath just like his father. So why does he feel so compelled to seek out a life much greater than he could ever hope for? He wonders what the view will look like from the top, but he won't know until he gets there!

Matter of Appearance

Melan galloped through the opened gate in the heart of the fortress and Henry directed him towards the stables where he quickly jumped off. A squire took the horse and he gave his thanks.

He had to quickly head to his quarters and get washed up before he would meet Sir Trenton near the gate. He knew he needed it after doing so much work in the peasant village. He couldn't help wondering who he might cross paths with that evening and care for his appearance.

He felt it was a shame he had nothing particularly nice to wear but there wasn't any time to go into Hydrogia for clothing and he had made sure he had a clean cream-colored tunic hanging up so it would be ready to be worn by the time he had to put it on.

Much to his surprise, there was another bath waiting for him the same as the day before.

He didn't know who was ordering this to happen but someone must be more worried about his appearance than he was.
