zero felt a little worried, before leaning in the doorway.

what can you eat?

he asked

Lola looked over trying to think, she was studying to be a vet tech.

she took a breath trying to remember what cats could have...

hmmm.

"oh!" she said clapping her hands together.

"chopped carrots, peas, corn, broccoli florets, green beans, zucchini, lettuce, spinach, winter squash, and pumpkin. it needs to be cooked tho!"

she said feeling her mouth drool.

zero was shocked before walking back in the kitchen.

he lit a fire, and grabbed some green beans throwing them in a pot of water allowing them to boil.

Lola watches as the kitchen lit up from the fire.

she sat down quietly waiting feeling her stomach growl, she was lucky to find zero.

she let out a breath leaning back looking at the roof.

eventually zero walked in handing over the warmed green beans smiling.

"when you're done just leave the bowl out of the way.

I'll get it in the morning and I'm tired so goodnight."

he said walking into the bedroom.

Lola grabbed it smiling "thank you zero!" looking around for a fork.

"oh...you don't have a fork do you?"

she said looking up from the bowl.

zero raised a brow "fork? what is that?"

Lola used her hands putting up 3 fingers.

"it has the points, and has a handle.

normally it's made of metal, but sometimes its wood are plastic."

she said looking up from her hands seeing zero's dumbfounded face.

he felt extremely confused "I...think I know what you're talking about."

was she talking about a pitch fork?

Lola asked quietly "how do you tend to eat your food?" she asked

zero ears fell back answering.

" with my hands, I'll eat it off the ground to."

zero flicked his tail shaking his head.

Lola looked down nodding looking at her hands, they were dirty and still covered in mud.

zero caught on to what she was thinking. he walked off bringing back a hide towel.

"if you are worried about dirty hands you can wipe them with this."

he said laying it next to her.

he yawned again walking off into the bedroom.

Lola smiles wiping her hands until they are clean.

she finished her bowl sitting it down next to her on the floor, she looked around feeling bothered by the mess.

she stood up walking to the bedroom door peeking in, zero appeared to be asleep standing up.

Lola felt her brow twitching, that couldn't really be comfortable...

she walked away from the bedroom door walking into the kitchen, there had to be something to clean the dish with.

she looked around before seeing a large bowl of water, it appeared to be clean.

she moved over taking a closer look before smiling, she could wash her dish with this water.

she gently dunked the bowl in the water using her hand to scrub it clean, she shook it dry afterwards before putting it on top of the food chest.

she stepped back into the bedroom grabbing all the dirty clothes and putting them in one pile.

before folding up the clean clothes and placing them neatly in the corner.

he really had a barren house...no counters, no wardrobe.

not even a bed!

she shook her head thinking to herself.

she eventually looked at the firewood.

she really shouldn't be messing with anything but, the mess was getting under her skin.

she stepped over to the firewood organizing it, smallest to largest.

she smiled dusting off her hands laying back in the hay bed.

she felt the exhaustion kick in, her legs started to ache.

she felt her eyes closing on their own.

zero woke up early morning yawning stretching trying his best to wake himself up.

he stepped into the living room seeing Lola fast asleep, she had to wake up soon.

he looked around before shaking his head, this isn't the way the house looked when he fell asleep...did she clean up?

why?

she didn't have to clean anything.

plus he was just too lazy to do it at the time.

he'd done it.... eventually,

he thought to himself.

he walked past her looking out the window, he'd show her the small town today.

let her meet some of the other villagers, he thought looking back to a sleeping Lola.

Lola stretches rolling over on her side letting out a small sigh in her sleep.

zero walked over tapping her gently.

"Lola, Lola wake up."

Lola lowered her brows slapping his hand away rolling to the other side.

zero raised a brow before he grabbed her shaking her, "oh no! it's an earthquake!"

Lola jumped awake pushing him.

"hey! I was sleeping!" she said. she hisses at him tail fluffing up, she was still exhausted from traveling so far.

zero pulled away with a straight face "I didn't mean to scare you. I am sorry if I made you upset." he squats down putting his long arms on his legs.

"I want to take you out, let you see the area.

so you won't get lost hopefully." he said laughing.

Lola looked at him with a slightly grumpy face before looking out the window.

it was already day, she felt like only a few hours had passed.

she sighed looking back at him.

"okay zero." she said stretching out yawning.

zero smiled standing up, "uh...by the way.

thank you for cleaning up in here. I've never really seen it this clean."

he said

Lola stood up rubbing her eyes, "it's still pretty dirty in here. it needs to be swept and you need furniture." she said raising a brow.

"if you can build this house you can surely build some furniture. then you'd be organized.

zero chuckles knowing she was right, he didn't really have a motivation to make anything for his house and, he didn't wanna trade for furniture.

he opened the door looking out, waving her over.

Lola walked over peeking out the door,

she felt her eyes go wide in shock.

there were more people out than yesterday, she stepped out feeling the dirt against her feet.

she looked up seeing birds fly through the sky, eventually she looked back down back to zero eyes filled with curiosity.

zero patted her head " you're so excited."

it was kind of cute, she was like a newborn foal seeing the world for the first time.

zero trotted forward smiling "come on!" he said looking back reaching out his hand to her.

Lola smiles reaching out taking his hand following behind him.
