CHAPTER 16 : The wealthy man who speaks coldly, calmly, and doesn't say much.

“Dang, what a nice sleep, what I need now is a beautiful bath, massage, and a sumptuous 7-star meal!” Hayden said and rubbed his eyes with his fingers. He yawned and stretched happily, but still being careful enough.

“Yeah, right? I was waiting for you.” Andy said. “See, your phone is buzzing due to messages.” Andy handed him the phone.

Hayden nodded and collected the phone from Andy. He unconsciously looked for someone, and his eyes lit up when he saw the person's texts among the thousands of messages.

“Zenos texted.” Hayden then snorted as he read the one-word or less than 5-word sentences. “Cold guy, does he know how to speak long sentences? The wealthy man who speaks coldly, calmly, and doesn't say much.”

Andy immediately nodded, “He called me annoying that night, and boom! Many guards surrounded me. Dang, those bodyguards were burly and powerful, I originally thought he was gonna… KKK me that night!”

“He dares not,” Hayden said and quickly tapped on Rose's messages. “Waouh, look at that, over 20 messages from Rose!” Hayden's eyes widened in surprise.

Andy's brows crinkle in confusion. “Wait, isn't she the one who seldom replies to you? Her words are so precious that when you write 5 sentences, she hardly replies with one.”

“Hm!” Hayden nodded and began to go through the messages with an expressionless face.

“She probably thinks another girl has caught your interest that night. You know girls are one insecure human being and seeing as you've ignored her for over a day unlike before, she'll be jittery on the spot.” Andy explained.

“If she likes me as you said, then she wouldn't have been playing hard to get,” Hayden muttered.

“That's a girl's problem, though. Hard to get is their thing, but bro…”

“Hm?”

“I don't understand why she would tell you to go but won't come herself!” Andy said confusedly.

Hayden immediately replied. “It's probably due to her state. Oh, she said her manager assigned her loads of work, which prevented her from coming.” Hayden read out.

“Oh, she's really hardworking and nice.” Andy nodded in compliment.

“But still classified herself, bro. Apart from buying things for her, she doesn't collect my money. She said she likes to work for the money she spent. Tell me where can one find a good girl? Sigh, everything is just jumbled now that Zenos is here, and I guess he'll be sticking to me.”

“Mm!” Andy nodded, but a question has been on his mind since when he knows what happened between Hayden and Zenos. And now Andy decided to ask Hayden. “Hayden?”

“Hm?” Hayden replied without looking away from his phone.

“Are you disgusted by Zenos's actions?”

Zenos refrained from calling Hayden that morning thinking he'd probably be asleep, but Hayden should have woken up by now, right? Zenos decided to text him before getting on the plane.

'How are you feeling?' Zenos texted.

“CEO Zed, everything is ready!” The cute secretary Hattie said with a blushing face that Zenos paid no mind to. Hattie stared at the anonymous CEO with a mask on yet her heart can't help but race because she knows that behind that mask must be a killer face. Even his voice, tallness, and figure are enough to make Hattie's knees weak.

“Hm.” Zenos placed his phone in airplane mode before putting it away. Hopefully, his little kitten would have answered before he got out of the plane.

Suddenly, he turned, and he saw Sean sneak walking behind him. Sean sighed in frustration. “Why can't you pretend that you didn't notice us?” Sean asked. Every one of them with a mask on, which caught many people's attention.

'Did you see those men? So tall and handsome!'

'Mom help, I'm falling in love with masked men.'

'Are these some upcoming boy groups or stars? I have to stan!'

'High hope girls. They're my husband!'

'I need to take some pictures for my heart keepsake.'

“No pictures!” Their bodyguards quickly surrounded them protectively.

“What are you all doing here?” Zenos questioned them. Earlier when he told his friends about what the secretary said, they all pushed it on Zenos saying it was his proposal, now those three are sneakingly following behind him.

“Of course, we want to have fun in City B, don't think we came for you, we don't.” David with a headphone placed on his neck replied.

Sean immediately nodded to back up David. “Yeah. We didn't, we came for our lonely ass. I heard CEO Eric is one playboy with many hot girls at his side, I could ow…” Sean immediately covered his mouth, while Jude and David glared at Sean for the revealed secret.

Zenos scoffed at their actions. The lazy three wanted to follow him, but didn't want to work. That's why they decided to come separately. “Alright, let's go!” Zenos snorted at them. “Last night's emails?”

“Of course, it's all sorted,” Jude replied.

The girl's eyelashes fluttered gently, and she suddenly opened her eyes. Traces of tears were at the corner of her eyes. She looked pained, scared, and angry; she seemed like someone who just had a 'nightmare!'

The girl sat up and stretched her hand to take a hand mirror, she looked at her face, and seeing the teenager's face she had been accustomed to, she sighed in relief. “It's just the past world nightmare, it's fine!” She consoled herself.

She unlocked her phone and counted the calendar. “According to the book and the past life, Zenos and Hayden have met.” She bit her lips and clenched her fist as she counted the calendar. She firmly records down a number. “Before xxxx date, they'll separate.” She clenched her fist in determination. “In this life, I'll overturn the world. I'll get my revenge. Hayden, Zenos, Xavier, Micheal, Hion, etc. You're all mine. I'll make you submit to me. In the past world, you all looked down on me, but in this world, I'll make you see.” She said with an evil glint that was too mature for a young face like hers.

Immediately, Zenos landed at Blue City, he removed his phone from airplane mode and checked to see if Hayden sent something. Alas, there was no reply, but Hayden checked everything, which indicated that he was just reading and ignoring.

“What's wrong with Zenos?” David tapped Jude on the shoulder.

“Love problem,” Jude replied.

Seeing that Hayden was online, Zenos immediately sent him a message. Immediately Zenos sent the message, Hayden checked it but still didn't reply.

Zenos's brows furrowed subconsciously when he got the evidence that Hayden was just avoiding him, so he decided not to send a text again. He immediately dialed the person's number, but he was rejected immediately, and his number was blacklisted that minute. Zenos's lips curved up into a smile. Alright! Nice playing, Hayden!

“What The Hell? Is Zenos silently acting in a movie or something? Why are his expression and temperament changing rapidly?” Sean asked in bewilderment.

“Love really turns one into something!” David shook his head pitifully. “It's now scary!”

Sean tapped Jude's and David's shoulders. “Who's interested in Zenos' lover, because I am.”

“Yeah! He seems interesting to me!” David and Jude's lips curved up.

All of them really wanted to know that person who was capable of stirring Zenos up bravely.

The last part caused Zenos to look back and glared at them. “You're so idle now?”

“Of course not. Little brother seems to be annoyed, is it your lover?” Sean continued to look for trouble while grinning slyly. “Or should we just introduce you to someone new? CEO Eric has a lot of girls, maybe we can straighten you tonight!”

Zenos nodded. “Hm! You came to have fun? I shall indulge you tonight!” Zenos said calmly, but there seems to be a hidden glint.

“Oh, you're taking care of me now?” He bowed playfully. “I'm at your disposal, bro!” Sean said and casually placed his arms on Zenos's shoulder. Zenos indulged him silently, which made Sean's lips curve up happily. This brother-in-law is really changing their little brother's temperament. Interesting!
