Apartment.

The next place Leonard found himself in was in an apartment sitting on a couch. He got up from the couch while glancing around the apartment, then he uttered to himself,

"From white environment to apartment".

The first thing he noticed was the TV set in front of him. Then his eyes scanned through the other couches around the parlor, and the glass table in the middle of the parlor. The parlor was quite vast and glamorous. His plan now was to explore the other parts of the apartment. The first place he sauntered to was the first room in the apartment, there were about two rooms in it.

The room had everything a room was supposed to have. A bed was present there, a drawer, a wardrobe and so on. But the thing was that everything in it was empty, the drawer had nothing in it, the wardrobe was empty of clothes and so on. He strolled out of the room and found the second one at the other side of the passage, and he didn't waste time to enter it.

Just as the other room, this room also had those essential furniture like the wardrobe, bed, and so on. But there was a vast difference, the wardrobe, drawer and the rest of other stuff weren't empty. The drawer had some things in it like a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, comb, and so on. And there was clothing in the wardrobe, not just any type of clothing, nice ones.

There were shirts hung and arranged well in the wardrobe, T-shirts, both plains and designers. There were also ties in it, a bow tie and a normal tie. Trousers of different kinds like jeans, chinos trousers, plain trousers and so on. Apart from that, there were also thick branded clothes that seemed like sweaters in the wardrobe. Hooded clothing wasn't left out, there were different colors of them in the wardrobe.

The number of clothing in the wardrobe shows how long it was. Glancing at the side of the room, he sighted some shoes. A sneaker, a canvas, and two casual shoes.

"So if am correct, these things have been provided for me already, that's great. A apartment and other essential stuff". Leonard said to himself smiling a little.

He walked out of the room and located the kitchen. He was thinking maybe the kitchen wouldn't be filled with the essential stuff a kitchen needed...maybe the kitchen would be different. But he was wrong, it was filled with the essential stuff. From the gas cooker to the electric kettle, to the pots, and so on...all were in the kitchen.

And best of all, there were also foodstuff in it. Like what! All he needed had really been provided for him. He couldn't believe his eyes when he found out that his favorite food was also in the kitchen...noodles. Leonard loved noodles a lot, it was his favorite. In his previous life, he couldn't do without eating noodles for a week. And now, here they were right in front of him.

He was sure to eat a lot of noodles during his stay in this apartment. Apart from the packs of noodles, there were also other foodstuff like cornflakes, a mini bag of rice, and so on. Satisfied with what he was seeing in the kitchen, he strolled out of it straight to the bathroom. The first thing he did after entering the bathroom was to turn on the shower, and it was working perfectly fine...water was oozing out of it freely.

And there was also a washing machine in it, nice! doing the laundry would be a lot easier. He wouldn't have to start looking for dry cleaners or find another means of doing the laundry. Satisfied with the bathroom, he sauntered out of it and strolled straight to the toilet. The toilet was neat and it was sparkling, from the water closet to the sink, and so on, all were neat and sparkling.

So once again, if his perspective was correct, this was the apartment he'll be residing in while trying to accomplish the different quests that would be given to him. Well, that was great, 'cause even in his previous life, he never had an apartment of his own. After moving out of his mum's house, it's been from one squat to another. But now, he had gotten an apartment of his own without paying a single dime.

He was done exploring this apartment, and he was satisfied with all that he saw. Now, it was about time for him to see what outside looks like. Yeah, since it was a modern world just like his previous earth, it's gonna be like the normal city life...a normal urban life. But he still wanted to see what it looks like...he was curious. He walked out of the toilet heading straight to the parlor.

Reaching the parlor, he sauntered straight to the door, held the knob, and turned it...but what! the door wasn't opening. He turned the doorknob harder while pulling the door with more force, but it wouldn't still open.

'What the hell is happening?'. Leonard questioned himself in his thought.

He tried to open the door once again, this time, using times two of the force he used before, but it wouldn't still open. Now, Leonard was getting annoyed, he wanted to see what outside looks like, and this door was f**king up. He kept on trying to open the door, but it wouldn't just open. It was just like the door was telling him, 'Bro, no matter how hard you try to open me, I won't open'.

He kicked the door with his right foot, but no, it was just a wasted effort. He ran straight to the window to open it, at least, he could take a glimpse of what outside looked like from the window. But you know what? the window wouldn't open too. The handle used in opening it was stiffened. He tried and tried, but it wouldn't just open.

Leonard was so annoyed and frustrated that he felt like shattering the glasses of the window. It then dawn on him that this would most likely be the doing of that female system. Why didn't they just want him to go outside? With annoyance, he began yelling at the top of his voice,

"SHE LORD! SHE LORD! COME OPEN THIS DOOR!". But there was no response.

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?". He yelled out once again, but there was still no response.

He called out on the female system for about one minute more, but still, no response...it was just a waste of time. With that annoyance, he sat down on one of the couches around the parlor and began thinking about how everyone would feel about his death in his previous world. Most likely, they'll be shocked by it.

His mum, his brother, his friend, and his other relatives, how did they react to his death? His mum and brother would most likely not grieve too much if they find out that the cause of his death was a result of his gambling habit. But his friend, yeah, that guy would definitely grieve a lot. Even though he didn't like Leonard's gambling habit and laziness, he still took him as a close friend.

To cut the long story short, Leonard was far way closer to his friend than his older brother. And those men he was owing money, men, they'll most likely burst with anger. He had died without even paying quarters of the money he was owing them. Hope they wouldn't find their way into this world and find him. Hope they wouldn't go for his family to collect the remaining money he was owing now that he was dead.

As he thought about all these, he didn't even know if he should be smiling or just keeping a straight face. But remembering that he wouldn't have to worry anymore about how he was gonna settle those men he was owing, he smiled. If they wanna collect their money, they should come to this world...that wouldn't be possible.

But the fact was that he wouldn't be able to live freely in this world he transmigrated into, he'll have to complete quests to not die. Remembering that made the smile on his face vanish. He was still waiting for the first quest, and the so-called She Lord locked him in this apartment?

What was he gonna do now? If not that he was locked in this apartment, by now, he would have explored far and wide outside. He needed to engage himself in something. That's when he noticed the TV in front of him once again, putting it on and seeing what their channels and shows looks like isn't a bad idea?
