At the mention of those words, Gideon was reminded of the words El told him in his dream. "It may or may not be helpful" while pertaining to information relating to Gideon Lemery. Even though El knows of his existence, who's to say that he should trust him especially when everyone else is walking on their tip toes when it comes to him.
