Lost the brakes

For most who knew Heaven, it was better to hear no straight answer from her about certain situations. Because once she said things had gone awry, it only meant it was bad. 

"What's wrong, Hera?" Hera inquired nervously. "What is it this time?"

Heaven didn't answer immediately, keeping her foot on the brake, but it wouldn't work. She already stopped stepping on the other pedal, but the car was still moving forward. 

"This is bad," she whispered, snapping her eyes ahead. Ignoring Hera, she pressed on her earpiece and spoke. "I have a problem."

"Oh, no! Not again!" Primo yelled with his head turned to the back seat to see their enemies catching up. "What problem do you have this time? Can't you resolve it on your own? Don't tell me Dragon is putting up a fight —"

"I lost my brakes."

The rest of Primo's words rolled back into his throat, almost choking at her remarks. He instinctively pressed his earpiece, brows furrowed, eyes shaking.
