Chapter 3

Haru hummed thoughtfully as he wondered what should he do to do magic. In the novel, it was explained that everyone had magic. Some had a large reserve for magic while some had a small reserve for magic.

Most of the time, Nobles were the ones with large reserves for magic than commoners. Commoners can sometimes have large reserves but the reserves were more often than not, hereditary from the parents.

There are many types of magic and there are 7 elements in magic. Fire, Water, Earth, Wood, Wind, Lightning, and Metal.

Everyone can use all 7 elements of magic but there are 1 or 2 elements in which they are the best.

Haru recalled any anime or manga he had seen about magic and immediately blushed when he recalled all the phrases they use to do magic. Would he also have to say such embarrassing things?

He held up his palm like he had seen protagonists do in anime and shouted determinedly, "I summon thee, the flame from the core, Fire!"

A small fireball, which was the size of his palm, shot out to the tree leaving a large amount of trump charred.

Haru looked at his hand in surprise.

'I did magic! I can do magic! Yatta!'

Haru jumped happily before wondering if he can do magic without chanting. The ones with a high reserve can do magic without chanting but the ones with a small reserve had to chant to call out their minimal amount of magic.

But there were times chant was important like when doing healing magic as the healing magic is most complex and takes a huge amount of focus to do it. By chanting, it is easier to do healing magic.

He took a deep breath and think about a fireball.

'It should be spherical. It should be hot and warm.'

A small hovering fireball appeared in front of his palm and shot out when he closed his palm. The tree falls with a big thud scaring him.

"Does this mean I don't have to speak those embarrassing phrases again?" Haru said with a grin walking closer to the fallen tree.

"It's convenient now that I can take wood from the tree. It would certainly help me in many ways."

Haru's stomach which had been silent growled loudly making him remember his extreme hunger. He groaned and walked closer to the river.

Looking at a fish slowly swimming in the river near him, he decided to catch that fish. Haru took a moment to calm down before thinking of water.

'Blue. The cold water is slowly becoming solid. The water slowly becomes ice. It's much colder than the cold water.'

"Ice!" The hovering ice ball directly stabbed the fish, killing it instantly.

He whooped in happiness, quickly picking up the fish from the water.

He had never killed an animal before, he had only bought them from the store, so he wasn't ready to kill animals like rabbits or chickens right now

He put it on a big rock and rushed to the fallen tree. He quickly tore off the branches and bundle them on the ground, and then put two branches vertically making sure they wouldn't fall, and put another branch horizontally between the two branches with their support.

He picked up the fish from the rock and cleaned it thoroughly with his washed kitchen knife.

He picked up the horizontal branch and with it pierced the fish. He grinned as he made a small fireball, throwing it gently on the bundles of branches. The fish started cooking.

Haru then quickly went to the fallen tree and collected other branches which he would carry to his hut.

He waited impatiently for the fish to be cooked and when he finally deemed it cooked enough, he quickly started eating it, careful of the bones.

The original owner had not eaten for days except for leaves and berries, this was the first warm meal this had body had after starving days.

After finishing, he sat on the ground and burped. "It is going to be dark soon. The animals get out at night so I should quickly go home."

He picked up the branches and carefully put his knife in his pants and started a 15-minute journey to his home. He was weak and hungry before so it took him much more time to reach the river. He carefully navigated to his house and after he reached it, it was already really dark.

He put the woods in the fireplace exhausted from carrying the branches and put a fireball on it instantly warming the hut. He looked at the dirty bed and swore to clean it tomorrow.

He was a Japanese and sleeping in such an untidy place was difficult. He coughed when he tried to clean the bed with his hands, dust flying everywhere making his eyes watery.

'I am going to clean this bed first thing tomorrow morning.'

He laid on the rough bed, his back aching from how hard the wooden bed was, and looked at the ceiling above and pondered seriously.

Today was the first day of his transmigration, he had found a water source and cooked a fish. He had survived the first day in this forest and will survive in this forest till He leaves the forest but…where can he go? He didn't have any friends nor did he have parents. He doesn't have any source of income and there's no way he was gonna beg. Does this mean he would have to stay in this forest till he is 18 and could get a job? He can do that…right? There's no need for friends anyway. He survived in my past life without friends, he would be able to survive this world without friends too. He didn't need anyone but…he wonder why he felt so lonely. Is it the original owner's feelings or…his? He just wants an easy life. He doesn't know how he was gonna survive tomorrow but he should sleep early to wake up early tomorrow.'

Tanaka Haru, a lonely 16-year-old boy transmigrated into a beautiful boy of age 6 in the middle of the forest. Right now, Haru doesn't know that his wish for easy life would be impossible.
