Season 2 Chapter 16

Angela: SIS!!!! (she runs towards me and hugs me tightly feeling excited as the crew members stares at us)

Me: (I pat her head feeling satisfied as I hugged her) There there….my little princess has grown up so much. (I said giggling softly)

Angela: (she looks at me pouting) You still speak like an old woman. (She sniffs my clothes and crocks her brow) Have you been smoking?

Me: (I sniffed myself confused cause I know that I put deodorant properly to remove the smell) uhm…no? Why would I smoke?

Angela: Don't lie. You don't like putting Deo. That means you are hiding something. (She pouts while looking away)

Me: (I patted her head smiling) My dear Angela…. People's preferences changes over time. Don't be so worried over small things, or you will get wrinkles. (I flicked her forehead)

Angela: (she rubbed her forehead pouting) You sure, that you are not hiding your problems again? (She seemed concerned)

A woman in formal suit walked up to us, as she pushed back her glasses standing behind Angela and looking down at me with a frown over her face. Her black hair was tied up in a knot, she had tall slender finger, her outfit was neat and tidy. Her expressions were serious, and her disgust towards me wasn't hidden. Mrs. Keiko has been working as Angela's manager since she started her career as a child pop artist, and have been supporting her throughout her journey. But her hatred towards me isn't something new, since day one she feels that I am a bad influence for Angela, and thinks that it is better to keep Angela away from someone like me.

Keiko: Miss Angela…how can a troublemaker have problems in her life? You are worrying for no reason. (She says in a rude manner)

Angela: (she turns and looks at Keiko with a bright smile) Mrs Keiko….can you please bring me some juice? I am feeling thirsty.

Keiko: (she looked uncomfortable as she hesitates) I will ask one of the crew members.

Angela: (she looks at her with puppy eyes as she pouts cutely) But….I don't want to disturb the crew members….they are already busy…. Please Mrs Keiko….I promise I won't make such requests again….(she starts tearing up)

Keiko: (her heart skipped a beat as she realised that she made Angela cry) No no…. don't cry my dear….I will bring me some juice right away…..(she pats Angela's head)

Angela: (her face becomes bright as she smiles happily) Thank you Mrs Keiko! Can you bring some for the crew members as well? (She hugs Keiko)

Keiko: (she bites her lower lip then smiles) Anything for you. (She says before walking out of the studio)

Angela: (she grabs my hand excited) Let me take you to Green room, right now it's empty so we can sit down and chat. (She says while walking towards the green room)

Me: Uhm….Angela…. bringing you juice…it's not part of Mrs Keiko's responsibility right? (I asked concerned)

Angela: (she stops and stares at my face) Every once in awhile you need to put them in their places, or else they start dancing on your head. (She held both of my hands squeezing them softly) Sis…you are still innocent….you don't know how this world works, I need to stand up for you, because you don't know how to defend yourself….tsk. (pouts while looking away)

Me: (I blinked multiple times standing there feeling stupefied) Wait….

I didn't know how to reply her, Angela has grown so much over the years that I realised the need for understanding her from scratch, my sweet little sister has turned into a mature lady who can take care of herself against all odds…yet somewhere that innocence remains. But her innocence wasn't her weakness, rather a weapon to keep people under control. She has proven over and again that strength doesn't necessarily mean fist fights. She took me to the green room as we sat there catching up the last four years.

Recently there has been internal conflict inside of my body, science call this phase as adolescence,  during this time, a person goes through puberty which causes your hormones to fuck up, that results in physical, psychological and emotional changes. My periods started last year, heard many people go through identity crisis and shit, but this never bothered me anyway, I was forced to mature up even before I hit my puberty, that's why I didn't feel any changes within my mind and body….which felt weird…I atleast expected some changes in my body!! Where are my breasts?! Everyone getting a pair, where are mine??? Even Angela was asking me why my front is as flat as cardboard. Where is the meat!! Why is it on my butt?! Even men have good butts! What am I supposed to do with that!!! I need what I signed up for!! I touch my flat chest and felt like crying.

I walked out of a flower shop holding some white roses, the sky was reddish orange as the sun was setting, Angela said she would be late today and I should return home, I stared at the sky mesmerized, the birds were returning home, the fluffy clouds floated around, I kept moving while staring at my surroundings, not much has changed in the last four years, except for me. Soon I crossed the old playground where we used to practice football, few kids played around, I couldn't notice any familiar faces. Soft wind hit my face, as I closed my eyes feeling nostalgic, something brushed against my legs as I slowly opened my eyes and looked down at a small kitten that stared at my face playfully, bending down I started stroking his head when someone blocked the sunlight making a large shadow that covered my face.

Voice : Anne?...is that you?....(the voice sound soft and weak)

Without even looking up, I knew who it was…the kitten hissed at the shadow and ran towards his mother who was waiting for her child, the mother grabbed the kitten using her mouth and went for a safe location, I watched the mother and child quietly for sometime, before standing up and dusting myself.

To be continued...
