=====

Nereus called out hurriedly upon his daughter, it would only take an instant to come over with his daughter's ability to control the flow of water.

Standing in front of the army, Orm gazed at his beautiful future queen.

"Father, surrender.

You cannot defeat him."

In the sea, as she glanced at David, Mera turned and bit her lip, and did not seize the opportunity to escape. Her unexpected words left everyone astonished.

"Daughter, what nonsense are you talking about?"

Nereus stared wide-eyed and glared angrily at David.

"Surface dweller, what have you done to my daughter?"

Orm's expression darkened. In full view of his countless subjects, his future queen was actually helping the enemy to persuade them to surrender.

How could he accept this? He turned to the army and gave a calmly gave orders.

"Be careful. When the battle starts, do not harm my queen. She is mentally controlled by the enemy."

"Father, he's holding the lost Trident of Neptune."

Today, three unprecedented Atlantean armies, the three different tribes had united together.

But after witnessing the fierce battle between David and Karathen, Mera struggled with the pain in her heart and didn't believe that the Atlanteans had any chance of winning.

If they were destined to fail, it was better not to start a war to provoke David and incur his wrath, leading to a massacre and a purge.

"He's the chosen King of the Seven Seas!"

"The Trident of Neptune?"

Several people looked at David's trident, which seemed to be made of gleaming golden material, in disbelief.

The gazes of other Atlanteans also turned towards the weapon held by that figure.

The legend of the Trident of Neptune had long been passed down among the Atlantean people.

'The one who possesses the Trident of Neptune, which can control the power of the sea, gains recognition as the King of the Seven Seas and once again rules the oceans, attaining supreme imperial authority...'

Atlantean civilians and soldiers below were reminded of that legend.

"Is that the Trident of Neptune?

The most powerful treasure our people lost for thousands of years!"

"..."

People were astonished, and discussions filled the air.

"That trident is fake.

How could a surface dweller gain the recognition of the Trident of Neptune?"

Orm's eyes flashed with coldness, and he remained calm as he waved his hand to give orders.

"Seize this insolent criminal who dares to challenge the great Atlantean people!"

Everyone snapped back to reality and realized something was wrong. David was dressed in a surface dweller's clothing and seemed to resist contact with the water, completely unlike an Atlantean.

The lost Trident of Neptune had been reduced to a legend for thousands of years. How could it be so easily found by an outsider?

"Attack!"

Nereus and the King of the Fishermen also gave their orders.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh!

Laser guns fired.

A multitude of Atlantean warriors, armed to the teeth, advanced toward David like a pack of sharks, ready to strike.

"A tirade of disrespect for land people after another.

Have you forgotten that your ancestors were also surface dwellers?"

David lightly swung his trident.

The sea suddenly trembled violently, as if angered, displaying awe-inspiring power. A furious tide surged into existence on the ocean floor, wreaking havoc.

The Atlanteans, who had bodies as tough as steel, were sent flying by the shockwave. Their formidable military formation became disarrayed, and they were left in a sorry state.

A group of Atlantean soldiers crashed into the city's buildings, clutching their injuries, and looked in horror toward the center they had originally surrounded.

"The sea has been mobilized like an army.

Could it be... Is that the real Trident of Neptune?"

It was exactly like the legend.

The onlooking civilians erupted in shock. The Trident of Neptune, lost for thousands of years, had reappeared. Could this person truly be the chosen one?

"Do you want to continue?"

Amidst the rapt attention of the masses, David asked softly as he dissolved the combined forces of the three Atlantean nations with a single strike.

Under the fierce shockwaves...

In the end, above the city, only a few dozen nobles with thin royal bloodlines remained standing, having barely avoided being thrown away by the shockwaves. Orm lowered his arms, which had been used to shield against the shockwaves, his eyes a mix of shock and anger, and like a killer whale ready to choose its prey, he stared intensely at David.

He could sense that power; it might be the real Trident.

"He must have deceived Vulko and hidden the real recorder.

But how could he gain the Trident's recognition!"

Nereus's face displayed shock, and he hesitantly turned to his daughter, asking for an explanation through his eyes. Mera, her face contorted in pain, shook her head vigorously, signaling her father not to resist any longer.

"The Trident!"

The Fishermen King, who had previously been discontented with David, exclaimed in disbelief, his face showing confusion, unsure of what to do next.

"The great..."

As everyone stood in shock and confusion, seizing the opportunity, Mera took a step forward, attempting to persuade her people and subjects to lay down their weapons. However, she suddenly realized that she didn't even know the name of this powerful man.

"Your Majesty, the great new King, he truly possesses the real Trident.

I witnessed it with my own eyes; he obtained the Trident by passing the trial of defeating the deep-sea behemoth Karathen!"

Mera paused briefly, a sense of urgency in her voice as she shouted out.

She wanted to convey to her people just how powerful and terrifying the man before them truly was.

"Karathen!"

An ancient legend passed down like the Trident of Neptune, spoke of a colossal sea monster, a behemoth the size of islands, effortlessly destroying cities as easily as breathing.

The faces of the onlookers turned pale.

The King of the Fishermen hesitated for a moment, his gaze fixed on the gleaming Trident, and he put away his combative stance against the enemy.

Nereus believed his anxious daughter wasn't lying but still hesitated for a moment, nonetheless.

"Thousands of years have passed, Karathen must have aged considerably even if he is alive."

Orm, thinking that his two allies had become afraid, waved his hand, directing his elite warriors to attack, and then turned to persuade the two of them.

"Orm, the one recognized by the Trident of Neptune is the King of Atlantis who rules the Seven Seas. This is an ancient legend and a law of the throne."

The Fishermen King's tone was stern, and his previous respect for Orm was replaced with an implicit warning.

The King recognized by the Trident was not something Orm, a king sustained merely by bloodline inheritance, could compare to.

Whoosh!

Just as about twenty elite noble warriors, capable of easily sinking warships with their strength, lunged forward, they were thrown back at even greater speed by a surging tidal wave. They crashed into the palace, breaking bones and rendering them incapacitated.

In the face of their attacks, David simply waved his Trident lightly, displaying shocking power.

But he actually also had some power to manipulate gravity.

"Drop your weapon, Orm!"

Nereus, who had shown a hint of hesitation earlier, now had a cold and determined expression and his trident was pointed directly at Orm without any shame.

"A bunch of cowards and weaklings!"

Orm, infuriated, used his Trident to whip Nereus away, like a projectile in water. The tip of his trident was pointed directly at David, his gaze fierce and imposing.

"It's just a simple trident.

Even if possessing it makes you the King of the Seven Seas, that person should be me!"
