82 Is He a Monster?

David's mention of conquering the Amazon tribe infuriated the female warriors deeply.

"Man, you have no idea what you're up against."

Hippolyte's longsword pointed accusingly; her face filled with anger.

Swish, swish, swish!

The longbow was drawn taut like a full moon, and thousands of sharp arrows shot through the air towards David.

Diana's face revealed a hint of reluctance as she agilely moved like a lynx, evading the arrow rain in a graceful backflip.

For the first time in millennia, she encountered outsiders and men, but unfortunately, his disrespectful words angered her mother and fellow tribe members.

Arrows, like whistling serpents, flew towards them. Under their formidable force, even a statue of steel would have been turned into a sieve in the next second.

David stood still in his place, untouched. When the arrows hit him, not even his clothes were pierced. The arrows, once carrying powerful momentum, lost all their kinetic energy instantly, falling as lightly as feathers.

"As an immortal divine race, your arrows are even less powerful than raindrops.

At least raindrops can wet my clothes."

Tap, tap, tap!

Arrow after arrow fell at David's feet, accumulating into a substantial pile in an instant.

Surprise flickered across Diana's face.

As an Amazonian princess, even though she was naturally stronger than any of her fellow tribeswomen, she couldn't dismiss the arrows shot by her own people. Yet, this man before her managed to do just that.

And this man seemed to understand the origin of the Amazons?

"After so many attacks, it's my turn now."

The arrow rain continued its relentless assault, but David casually raised a finger, tapping the air.

Buzz!

A highly concentrated beam of cosmic energy erupted, violently shattering the edge of the cliff.

Like an explosive barrage, fist-sized debris shot through the air. The Amazonians wielding their bows were thrown into disarray, stumbling backward in embarrassment.

A chorus of screams echoed as some were thrown off their horses, while others suffered head injuries and were knocked unconscious.

"Man, who exactly are you?"

Hippolyte tightened her grip on her startled warhorse, her pupils contracting, shouting in anger.

The Amazons are a race created by the Greek gods. Their souls were those of women who died tragically at the hands of men, given bodies molded from mud mixed with divine power, creating the Amazon female warriors.

Although they were women, each possessed strength that could mold steel like clay. The arrow rain they unleashed was a force that no one in this world could resist except the gods.

"I've told you; you only need to know one thing."

Asked about his identity again, David lightly chuckled and repeated.

He had only one purpose in coming to Paradise Island: to have the Amazon tribe continually supply him with emotional energy.

'There are two options for this matter: one is to have the Amazons provide positive emotions, the other is negative.'

It was impossible for people to have feelings of respect and gratitude and other positive emotions endlessly every day, but resentment was different.

'Hatred and resentment can almost consume a person's body and mind, making them unable to think about anything else.'

Just as people quickly forget comfortable sensations in the blink of an eye; pain and discomfort linger, especially when suffering is in the present.

Therefore, he chose the latter.

"Attack!"

David mentioned conquering them again, and Hippolyte angrily shouted. Instantly, hundreds of Amazonians hurled ropes and swung down from the cliffs, brandishing swords to attack the invading outsider.

Seeing her tribe members descending the cliffs to subdue the foreign enemy, Diana fastened the Lasso of Truth around her waist, determination evident on her face. With her arms adorned with silver bracelets, which were divine artifacts, she resembled a heroic female war goddess as she leaped forward with a fist raised.

"Man, you're not allowed to harm my people!"

The group of female warriors landed, including Diana by his side, all launching an assault. David leaned back slightly, dodging Diana's punch, and counterattacked with a fist that sent out a shockwave.

Buzz!

The crushed stones on the ground were swept away, and in front of a fan-shaped area, all the charging Amazon warriors were sent flying, as if swatted like balls, their bodies slamming hard into the rock wall, creating spiderweb-like cracks.

Diana continuously attacked with her fists, and compared to her punches, even bullets fired seemed slow, and the speed even faster than David's!

Bang!

In the midst of their clash, their fists suddenly collided fiercely, as if bombs had been dropped, causing the white sand beneath their feet to flow like towering waves, reaching over ten meters high.

Diana's expression remained unchanged, her feet not budging a step as she launched another fierce attack.

David raised an eyebrow, adding more strength to his hands.

Unlike Superman, who was not yet twenty, Diana, who had lived for thousands of years, had almost reached her peak under normal conditions, except for the part of her potential that is not easy to tap into as the daughter of Zeus, her strength nearly approaching that version of herself that only uses physical strength.

'However, that's all there is to it.'

David's gaze intensified, his strikes becoming heavier, each blow resembling meteor impacts. Diana couldn't withstand it; her feet being pushed back continuously.

"Interloper, perish!"

As they exchanged punches, female warriors would leap forward with fierce expressions, brandishing their swords to attack, but David completely ignored them, absorbing the kinetic energy from their swords and then striking them, rendering them unconscious.

On the cliff, Hippolyta tightly gripped the reins, her brow furrowed.

Amazonians rushed up one by one, attempting to aid their princess, but the next moment they were sent flying back even faster, their bones broken, and their combat abilities lost upon impact with the ground.

'His strength seems to be growing stronger!'

Feeling like an unstoppable force akin to a majestic mountain, Diana was forced to retreat again and again, her eyes revealing shock.

The power this man exhibited at the start was enough for her to resist, every move seemed enough to overpower her, and it was increasing strangely as they fought.

'Is he a monster?'

It was the first time for her to encounter a formidable opponent after growing up, but Diana felt no fear. Instead, a hint of excitement surfaced in her eyes, her fighting spirit soaring, growing more courageous as she fought.

"Man, you are a worthy opponent! Since I came of age, I haven't had such a satisfying fight."

"If I defeat you, I will ask my mother to spare your life."

Raising her silver bracers to block terrifying kinetic energy from David, Diana's eyes flickered.

She noticed that with this man's strength, he could easily kill many of her people with a single wave of his hand, regardless of his actual intentions, he didn't do it.

Want to conquer without killing a single person?

Bang!

"You think too much. That's not a possibility."

Easily suppressing Wonder Woman, David's power surged as he landed punches. Wonder Woman could barely withstand this force, which was enough to shatter mountains. She ended up kneeling before him.

"After I defeat you, you and your mother will kneel before my throne— Just like now."

"You're too arrogant, man!"

Anger flared in Diana's eyes as she struggled to stand, wanting to give this man a harsh lesson.

But as soon as she stood, she was blasted back, helpless.

David emitted ripples of purple energy, his eyes glowing with a piercing violet light, like a true god descending to Earth.

His attacks grew progressively more fearsome, each strike resembling a disastrous force. Frustrated, Diana was pushed back repeatedly. If she hadn't skillfully used her silver bracers to deflect David's attacks, she would have been beaten down by now and have to lie down.

Whenever he attacked, Diana would raise her bracelets to block, dissipating a part of his power, as if striking into a sea, with some of his strength being erased into nothingness.

David furrowed his brow slightly, gripping Diana's arm as she attacked, his gaze fixated on her wrist.

'The Bracelets of Submission.'
