101 Chapter 101

Chapter 101: Sabaody Park

"Wasn't it agreed that in negotiations, you should start by making a demand that the other party can't easily fulfill, and then when you make the next demand, they would be reluctant to refuse?" Adrian muttered discontentedly on the way back to the tavern.

Sea Stone is quite useful; it can suppress abilities. It's great to have a piece of Sea Stone equipment before mastering Haki. Didn't you see Smoker walking around with a pair of handcuffs embedded with Sea Stone?

Unfortunately, this thing is really hard for ordinary people to get. Adrian definitely doesn't have access to it. He can only try his luck and see if he can buy it from the Navy.

But he was disappointed. It seems that even a pair of handcuffs with Sea Stone is considered strategic weaponry, and Lieutenant Kuro's rank as a lieutenant commander is just a captain, so he doesn't have that authority.

"But what if, Adrian, you borrow 100,000 Berries from me this time, and I don't have it, and then you borrow 1 million Berries from me next time, and I still don't have it?" Rui Mengmeng gave an illustrative example to comfort Adrian. It's not that his negotiation skills are lacking, but the situations he's dealing with are challenging.

Since this statement wasn't particularly cutting, Adrian took it as comforting. He'll think of another way later, maybe get to know the Navy a bit better and ask again.

Because on the way back, Tom accidentally floated into one food store after another, so when Adrian returned to the tavern, he was laden with purchases.

Artoria was reading the newspaper with Camie. Although Camie was young, she found it fascinating because newspapers were quite rare on Fish-Man Island.

Despite the far-reaching abilities of the newspaper-delivering seagulls, they couldn't dive ten thousand meters deep. Hence, they could only get a few old newspapers from passing pirates.

"We're back!" Adrian's first action was to store the money.

Rui Mengmeng's first action was to put away the things she bought.

And Tom's first action was to go behind the bar and check on his treasure. After making sure nothing was missing, Tom wiped his nonexistent sweat off his forehead.

Then he embarrassedly brought out a bunch of snacks to share with everyone.

As they chatted and laughed, it was already approaching noon. Naturally, they had to stay for lunch with Camie.

"So much food, it's so rich!" Camie looked at the full table of dishes and worried, "What if we can't finish it all?"

Adrian patted her head and grinned, "Don't worry, I have a big appetite. I can eat a little mermaid in one meal."

"Ah~~~ Eat a mermaid!!!" Camie exaggeratedly expressed shock, even though she had gotten used to them, she still could easily be scared.

"Yeah, coat it with egg batter, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top..." Adrian grinned, and Tom joined in with a terrifying laughter that echoed.

Camie was scared and dove into Artoria's arms.

Adrian also got goosebumps, "Wow, Tom, your laughter is so terrifying, it's perfect for playing a villain."

Tom put on an innocent expression, "I was just cooperating with you."

Five minutes later, everyone was happily eating, Adrian and Tom were chugging down water between bites.

Tom was a very active cat; if he said he was going to add salt to Adrian's bowl, he would do it. Originally, he planned to do it in the evening, but he couldn't resist doing it at lunchtime.

"Ahahaha~" When Adrian took a bite and nearly choked on the salty food, Tom was rolling on the floor, pounding the ground.

Adrian immediately understood what had happened. Seizing the moment when Tom was laughing, he discreetly switched their bowls.

The result of their mutual mischief was that both of them were now extremely thirsty. But following the principle of not wasting food, they both finished their portions.

After the meal, it wasn't convenient to have Camie wait downstairs. Adrian decided to let Tom accompany her to play cards or flying chess upstairs.

In the afternoon, Camie bid her farewells, "I've caused you all so much trouble today, I should probably head back."

Adrian blinked, "Is that so? In the afternoon, I planned to take everyone to Sabaody Park. I wonder if Miss Camie would like to join us?"

"I do!" Camie couldn't contain her excitement at the mention of Sabaody Park. Her tail wagged vigorously and she leaped onto Adrian, hanging from him.

Adrian caught her, "If you're coming, then get ready and change into different clothes. Artoria, Mengmeng, please see if you can find a suitable dress and a pair of shoes for Camie."

"Are you sure it's okay?" Camie regained a bit of composure.

"As long as you hide your tail, it's fine." Adrian thought Camie would probably share her experience with her family when she returned, and then she might not be able to leave home for a long time. Might as well fulfill her wish while they have the chance.

Additionally, Adrian was quite curious about Sabaody Park. He wanted to visit once but was put off by the Red-Haired Pirates, which ruined his mood. This time, it was perfect for everyone to go together.

Finally, Artoria found a mid-length dress, which, after some adjustments, became a long dress that completely covered Camie's fish tail. Her separated tail fins were tucked into the shoes, requiring a bit of effort to secure them.

Female merfolk only have their tails split into legs after they turn 30, allowing them to walk like humans. The notable figure representing this transformation is Kokoro from Tom's Workers in Water 7.

Male merfolk, on the other hand, never develop legs throughout their lives. Notable figures include King Neptune from Fish-Man Island and Aladine from the Sun Pirates.

So, even though Camie wore shoes, it was still difficult for her to walk. In Fish-Man Island,

she'd typically use bubbles to move conveniently. Here, she would have to either ride on a bubble car or be carried by someone.

Fortunately, she was a child, and being carried around wasn't out of place.

Sabaody Park was a large amusement park spanning three islands: 32GR, 33GR, and 34GR. It was unclear which magnate established it.

While the number of visitors inside couldn't compare to major attractions during short holidays in Adrian's world, it was still bustling.

Towering Ferris wheels, exhilarating roller coasters, massive pirate ships, intermittent screams and laughter, and colorful bubbles rising from the ground all combined to create a dreamy atmosphere even in a fairytale world.

As soon as Adrian and the others entered, they heard three astonished cries, "Wow~~~"

It was Camie, Rui Mengmeng, and Artoria.

Both Camie and Rui Mengmeng were inexperienced, so their eyes gleamed with wonder. Even Artoria, who usually displayed composure, couldn't help but show her inner child.

Adrian thought for a moment. Artoria's childhood seemed to be all about training and studying, likely quite dull. Today, let them have fun to their hearts' content.

Also, it's worth mentioning that the five of them only bought four tickets because Tom was considered a pet and didn't need one. He seemed a little disgruntled about it.

Although he often saw himself as a cat, he always considered himself human when it came to spending money—a profligate child.

Adrian wondered how Chopper and Brook were handled when they entered. Did they shock the staff when a skeleton bought a ticket?

After looking around excitedly, Camie asked with anticipation, "Adrian, where do we start playing?"

"Of course, we'll start with the thrilling roller coaster. Let's go!" Adrian waved his hand and charged ahead.

"Oh, Artoria, can your riding skill be used to speed up the roller coaster?" Adrian had a bold idea.
