The Prideful Soilder

Zero woke up to find that he was in the infirmary the room that he was in was not big but a lot of beds in there and they were all occupied by young people with different variety of injuries.

Remembering how bad he was hurt Zero started to look at his body and he was amazed by the efficiency of the people here all his injuries broken bones included were now healed.

What surprised Zero the most was that his dantian was now full, Zero spent a lot of time cultivating and he learned what this and that was that filling his Dantian was not an easy thing to do for all the cultivation Zero did he did not fill even five percent of it but now it was full.

A smile creeps into Zero's face as he knew what that meant, Zero was now at the peak of the level 1 Mortal Origin stage and soon he will be able to step in to level 2 Mortal Origin stage and increase his power.

If the is one thing that Zero learned from the three days run it was that he was too weak and he must get strong as quickly as possible.

A soft and gentle voice broke Zero from his train of thought "you awoke that is good" a beautiful lady walked up to Zero's bed. The beautiful lady was tall with long legs and a slender but curvy body that made it hard to go unnoticed even when the uniform that she was wearing tried to hide it.

'you truly are a remarkable young one ain't you where I heard what you were able to d I was shocked it was only when I took a closer look at your body that I was able to see for myself. Your body's healing properties are truly amazing and they worked well with the herbs I gave you. All your bones heal on the first day and as for the external injuries, they were already healing when you were brought to me. All in all the only thing that was a problem was fatigue but a little rest and you should be back on your feet. Now tomorrow morning at sunrise be at the assembly point and don't be late' and then she let without even giving Zero a chance to put a word.

Looking at her as she walked out of the room Zero shook his head and went back to sleep, not knowing what kind of day was waiting for him tomorrow Zero needed all the rest he could get.

Before the first ray of the sun could the seen on the horizon Zero made his way to the practice field following the other cadets. From the conversation between them, Zero could hear that the are some cadets who still have not made it even after six days. Zero picked up a lot of information from the other cadets but the most important thing he learned was that no one knows who made it first. The only thing that the cadets knew was the person who made it ahead of them and only if they saw them for themselves.

Hearing that made Zero a little relieved as he did not want the other to know that he was the one who made it first.

Zero felt that someone was looking at him turning his head to the left Zero saw the source of that feeling the young cadet that he met at the water source and then later passed on the road as he was making his way here and from the look in the cadet's eyes Zero could guess what he was thinking. Out of everyone who made it here Zero was the one who made it the fastest.

The cadets did not have to wait long in the field when a large group of soldiers made their way to the field and in the lead was a middle aged woman.

Like always she looked like a human tank and ready to destroy all that was in his way. she stepped up to the raised platform and immediately drew all the attention in the world.

'listen up I don't care who or what you are from this moment on you are a cadet and your name is the cadet number that is assigned to you and all cadets will be treated equally. The is only one rule here and that is the I rule. What I say goes and if you don't like it I will make you like it.'

She paused and looked at the cadets with a prude smile and said' you're about to learn the pride of our Alexandra military the Prideful Soldier, every soldier you see before has learned it and from now on you will join their ranks. Instructor Timberland'

'Yes Sir' a voice came from one of the many soldiers that came with the middle aged woman, the soldier named instructor Timberland stepped forward for all to see.

'They are all yours' said the middle aged woman and she turned around and left with the other leaving only instructor Timberland with the cadets.

Zero looked at the middle aged woman with increasing curiosity from the first day till now the woman near said more she should and till this moment she did not disclose her name and rank.

Timberland stepped up to the raised stage and looked at all the cadets and said 'do what I say your day here will be smooth and full of success but my patience is limited so don't try me. I will be your instructor for cultivating the Prideful soldier, follow what I say and do as I say now we start'

For some reason Zero found something off about the behavior of both the middle aged woman and instructor Timberland, Zero watched a lot of movies back on Earth and this was not what he was expecting where was drill sergeant who would shout your ear off. All these people only said what needed to be said and nothing more.

The lesson started the moment that instructor finished speaking and he paused and looked at all the cadets with a meaningful full look.

Some were quick to remember what instructor Timberland said that they should do what he did and that's how little by little the cadets took the same pose.

Zero was confused at the begging as all the poses were accompanied by the corresponding breathing and the were a lot of them a 64 to the exert.

It wasn't until the third time around that Zero started to feel faint Spirit Qi being pulled from the surrounding.

The pull was small but Zero could tell that given enough time he would have better control of it, Zero could just use the Nameless Method but he felt it was best not to tempt faith like that.

Since Zero already knew how to cultivated it did not take him that long to get familiar with using the Prideful Soldier.

With every pose and every breath, Spirit Qi rushed into Zero meridian and into his Dantian which started revolving faster and faster soon it hit a limit it was as if the was a huge wall preventing him from going any further and while Zero was focusing on breaking the wall down the voice of instructor Timberland voice broke throw.

'that's all for today go and get breakfast and be back here after breakfast and start your daily training'

Breakfast was uneventful and simple and soon all the cadet were back to the training field and at the raised platform there three angry looking men. Seeing the looks of these three men all the cadets quit down and waiting for it. They knew something bad was coming and they were right.

'your late and as punishment, I want 10 laps around the camp and make them first so that we can start with today's train.

Even Zero was shocked because he could tell that it was not even an hour since they left for breakfast.

'how can we be late when our hour of breakfast is not even up...'

One of the cadets tried to speak in protest but before he could finish another angry voice said since you complained you get an extra 5 laps so do you want more we are very generous'

The was a moment of silence and then like a mad rush all the cadets rush for the main gate with haste not wanting to spend another minute with these three as they might increase their punishment again.

Some of them were even throwing dangerous looks at the cadet who complained, the poor cadet could only wish for the earth to open up for him to hide in.

15 laps may sound simple but give that the camp is over 3 kilometers in diameter this was looking to not an easy run.
