The swordsman

As I said those words I felt dense energy fill me up. My marrow, tissue, organs all greedily absorbed this energy. I then heard some prompts from the system.

[User has leveled up]

[User has leveled up]

[User has leveled up]

[User has leveled up]

[User has leveled up]

After the fifth prompt the dense energy dissapeared. I soon understood the process of leveling up wasn't as simple as 2+2=4. The energy saturated my body increasing the power and quality of my cells all the way up to my body. I have literally levelled up. It's like taking cocaine or something. My senses and just about everything else has undergone improvement permanently.

I looked at my stats again

I saw that each level my stats went up by an increment of 4. I didn't know if this was good or not, but it was fine in my opinion. I asked the system "System I killed a level 14 creature shouldnt I get more levels?"

[Users level increase is correct due to many reasons. One is that the difference in quality of race. Your current race could be considered upper grade and the electric jade chameleon was a mid level one. Therefore the amount of exp you can get is less than what they can get. Secondly the exp needed for each one of your level ups increases by a large amount like others beings thus the energy quickly got used up.]

I gave up on trying to argue my case and looked at what I could do to better my survival.

I put 10 stat points into intelligence and then leveled everything belongs to me by 2 levels costing me 2 skill points. Camouflage to level 6. Area stun to level 6 aswell and weapon mastery to level 3. I asked system "System how do I increase passive skills?"

[User to increase Passive skill abilities level needs to be increased.]

I finally decided to learn parry and level it up thrice.

With the increase in intelligence I could feel my thinking becoming more and more profound allowing me to devise various plots for adverse situations. I also felt that if a bullet was coming towards me I would be able to move my body to dodge it or cut it like those samurai could do. My mind could actually process things as fast as bullets with ease and that made me extremely happy.

Also even though I had never trained in any weapon forms I felt extremely capable with any weapon. I held my sword and it felt like meeting and old friend. I tried swinging my sword as seen in my head. First my stance. My legs were close and tightly pressed against the ground yet loose enough to continue my assault. I swung downwards and then shifted my body as in those images in my head and swung up. My back ached, but more so I felt happy as I could easily perform the slight movements that made a regular man a swordsman, but I didn't stop there. Without stopping I fixed my posture again and straightened my back with my right leg moved forward and left leg slightly bent along with the moving sword and then swung down heavily again. The air cried as my sword fell downwards. Finally I moved up. My legs moved a fair distance apart both slightly bent and then dragged the sword that was deep in the ground with all my force commanding my specific muscles to move as I wished and a large line was carved in the strong ground. I swung up and the dense force caused my muscles to ache violently. It seemed slow to me yet it took only a few second. This was one of the myriad styles in my head. I felt that it was extremely easy to analyze the images and styles and to actually perform them and now only realized the true power of intelligence. After a bit of recovery I looked at the prompt saying Skill available and remembered I got a skill tree for any skill I wanted. I had already chosen a few skills. They were all evasive techniques. The skills I had chosen were: "Invulnerability", "Teleport", "Extreme speed", "Smoke screen." Smoke screen was the most useless, but the most cost effective thats why I chose it. Invulnerability is what I want the most, but would I be able to even use it? Unlike teleport it isnt a one time use its Continuously needed. Extreme speed was the same as Invulnerability something that was used continuously and needed energy Continuously to do it, but compared to Invulnerability and teleport it probably took less energy. I actually haven't used a skill before so I don't know whether Mana is used or not, but from what I know intelligence makes everything more cost effective in terms of use. For example a lot of energy might go to doing something extra, but with intelligence I can easily and precisely do things. Without any real answer I asked the system for advice.

[System believes Invulnerability is the most useful in terms of battle in the long term. Teleport has the most wide range of uses and thus is also very effective. Extreme speed allows for with continuous use good body tempering and also is pivotal in attacking and defending. Smoke screen is useful, but later on will become useless. System doesn't have the ability to determine which is the best, but can show the probability of your survival with each of these skills in your arsenal. Invulnerability 9/10, Teleport 8/10, extreme speed 9/10, smoke screen 5/10]

Seeing the system not give me any real advice I decided to first try a skill and see what is used to perform a skill. I raised my hand and used lightning strike. A beautiful light erupted out of my hand and before I could see it move it had hit the wall tearing it apart leaving only dust and a giant hole. The destructive power made me frightened yet ecstatic. This is what life should be testing your life, fighting, adventuring not sitting at a desk and working for money then dying without having any real memories or relationships. Life is about more that the secular matters its about love, friendship, excitement, adventure! I looked at my stats and saw my Mana had become 36 from 39. "Only three Mana!" I shouted happily. I thought about it and eventually I chose Invulnerability and then in the future if I got the chance Teleport, then extreme speed. Teleport was the one I wanted to choose the most due to its vast capabilities, but for my current situation Invulnerability was needed.

[Skill Maximum Invulnerability has been added

Skill: Maximum Invulnerability (lvl 1): User is immune to everything for 5 seconds. If user has a disease or is poisoned when maximum Invulnerability is used the debuff will disappear.]

I smiled widely as I saw it. I didn't want to try it instead I began to search for the summoner. I walked fast and appeared before the hole I made. I looked past the thick brick and saw the true damage of my lightning. It had not only broken through this strong and thick wall it had kept on going breaking 2 additional walls. I stepped in past the walls and appeared in a small room.

[User has entered the secret room: Servants quarters.]

I looked around and found a closet. I took some clothes that fit me and wore them. There was a chest near the bed and opened it. Inside there was some food still fresh a few bottles of water and some crystal bottles with some shining liquid in them. After eating a little food and drinking some water I held the crystal and got a prompt.

[20x Low level magic potion: 10x unbiased potion, 5x fire potion, 2x Ice potion, 3x earth potion

5x low level stamina potion]

I opened one low level earth potion and smelt it. I felt various earthy scents like the smell of clay, mud, etc. I drank the potion and I could feel the earthy Mana rush through my body and then into my magic core that was now in my heart. I just stored everything else in the inventory and then returned to the original path. I didn't know which direction to go in, but I felt that there was a slight tingling feeling in my head. I could slightly feel it coming from a certain direction. I asked the system in my head 'System this tugging sensation in my head is the summoner right?'

[Yes.]

Knowing this I followed the buzzing signal. After a few hours of walking I sat down and decided to rest a bit. It wasn't that I was tired, but rather I wanted to do something because I was bored. I decided to practice my swordsmanship. Surprisingly time seemed to evaporate as I kept swinging until god knows when. Finally my sword fell from my sore arms. I felt my consciousness needing to escape to somewhere and then I heard a prompt.

[Congratulations User! Due to your constant effort in swordsmanship a Class has opened! System suggests user find a secure location.]

I didn't really understand much because most of my energy and concentration had been used in my training, but I heard "Find a secure location" and used lightning strike and opened a small hole. I like a worm dragged my body into the hole and then used Earth bullet to create a mound to close the hole. My consciousness dissapeared from my body with that done.

I woke up in a practice field. There were numerous swords in a rack to the side and in front of me was a indistinct figure with a sword. Words entered my head without a voice "Select a sword and trade blows with me." I recollected what the system had said and picked up a sword that seemed good for Defence yet wasnt too heavy that it interfered with combat. It was similar to middle eastern scimitar. I took a deep breath. The figure didn't say do anything, but when I got into sword stance it said again without a voice "You can use magic or any type of skill to win. The way you fight determines your specialized class. Good luck."

Without waiting for me to reply to his courtesy he rushed forward and swung his blade vertically. I quickly loosed my muscles and fell, then when my body was at an angle I pushed off with as much strength as I could. The figure didn't care and ran towards me. I said in agitation "He's fast and heavy hitting those are two different sword styles how the fuck is he doing that." I knew from my sword mastery that a sword could either give up heaviness and go for speed or give up speed and go for heaviness. They both had their benefits, but mostly speed is better for weak but repetitive attacks against multiple enemies. Heaviness is better for defence and extremely strong singular opponents. Yet this figure seemed to incorporate both of them yet not losing out against me at all. I kept backing up because I was thinking "Should I study him and learn his style? No although his way of the sword is good now against true expert's this mix of styles is a easy fight. If I study this the further I climb the path the more I'll see holes in its way. In the early stages of sword Everything is similar yet later as you become more proficient everything separates." Having decided this I jumped into the air and used area stun. Then I followed up by shooting earth bullet. The force as it left my hand caused me to continue to rise. Before I used a little bit of earth bullet to close the hole in the wall now it was truly like a canon ball. The swordman easily broke out of area stun and cut the earth bullets. Yet at my peak height I released more earth bullets at the sky and fell fast towards the swordsman. He parried my sword and threw me away. His legs had sunk into the ground and that gave me more confidence. I ran towards the swordsman and used my heaviest sword style. He was a little inconvenienced, but was fine. He parried me again. He then struck at me I parried his horizontal strike from above pushing it up. Then I tried to pierce him. He moved down quickly and slammed his head into my stomach. I rolled and then stood up quickly. We both got into our stances. He was like a rampaging river and I was like a strong tide. He was fast, violent and strong, but I was devastating and slow. We parried again and again and again. Our blows struck each other at various locations yet no fatal wounds. Finally I used area stun again and in the brief moment he was unavailable I changed my stance again and contracted my muscles and sliced up. The stun was quickly dissipated and instead of trying to stop my blade coming for his head he tried to slice and me. My heart beat violently as he sword got near me and right before it collided with me I used "Maximum Invulnerability."

Sling!

My sword cut through his head and his hit me and didn't make a wound it just bounced off. I landed flat on the ground due to sudden shift from anxiety to relaxation. I looked over and the figure collected its head and put it on. It looked at me and then bowed. I stood up and bowed. Then he shot a beam from his forehead it connected with mine and then I woke up in the hole I made.

I decided to sleep since I was still exhausted...

Some time later I woke up feeling slightly refreshed.

I looked at my status.

I looked curiously at my class and read in detail about swordsman.

Swordsman class:

20% Greater efficiency in sword stances and Techniques.

20% Increase in strength and speed.

sub class: Overlord

~Able to deal 10% more damage with a sword.

~Reduce 20% damage taken by sword.

•Class skill- War monger - Able to increase power x level.

I shuffled my long hair away from my face and then opened the hole in the wall again.

As the pale yellow light from the torches hanging high up filled my vision. I heard the clinking of metal boots. I looked and saw two human men wearing silver armor.

Ding!

A new quest appeared.

[Monster nature: Two humans have appeared in front of you. Will you follow you instincts and kill them or will you confide in your human side and let them live.

Reward: Dependent on choice.

Penalty:None.]

When the two men in armor saw me they looked coldly at me. I was busy looking at the quest in contemplation and eventually decided on acting upon seeing them act. I wouldn't willingly kill easily, but I wouldn't shy away from it either.

I opened my mouth and tried to talk like how I used to. weird sounds came out yet soon enough they turned into words. "What are you doing?"

The two men were not scared for some reason and said "Iris la ka iah man."

I totally forgot this was some random world and asked system "System can you make me fluent in all languages."

[Yes User.]

The next moment all sorts of information filled my head. I looked at the men and said in their language "What are you looking at? Move the fuck along!"

The two looked at me and said "Who are you? Show us your adventurers card or atleast you citizen card. We are the escorts of his Royal Highness Vance and by our Imperial doctrine we command you to answer our questions!"

I said "I wont say again. Move along or else."

The two men scrunched their brows and the one on the right said "Sid lets just kill the brat. I don't waste my time on some scum."

The one on the left said "You and that bloodthirsty nature of yours. Not everything has to be settled with us killing someone. You must have left that bandit group just so you could kill without a bounty right?"

The right one replied "Yep. Other than women, booze and killing what good is there with being a Royal escort?"

The left one shook his head and took out a spear from his ring and held it tightly. The right one took two butcher knives.

I sighed moved my hand in front Two brilliant lights appeared and under my guidance raced to strike the two men. The addition because of their metal armor the already very active electric magicals to rush making the damage double. The two died easily.

[Congratulations user has killed two Fighter class humans.

User has completed mission and shown to not follow a dictated path. User has impressed system and the reward will be a weapon made out of any known material. Time limit until reward expires 10 days.]

My jaw detached as I saw the reward. I decided that I needed to rush even more to kill my summoner and then find the best material's in all of existence and craft a god sword.

I quickly tried our my races unique skill Everything belongs to me and was able to take 30% of the enemies stats.

I looked at their corpses with Appraisal.

[User note numbers after . will not be counted only whole numbers.]

I smiled as the skill truly was amazing as in the future as I got stronger and fought stronger people It would be even more amazing.

I was hesitant to use devour. Killing humans was one thing and Cannibalism is another.

[Considering users plight system will alter Devour to simply absorb the body rather than consume.]

I gleefully nodded and held both men and soon the dissapeared and two skills appeared. "Fire first" "Rolling tides."

I looked at devour and saw that the message about nourishing intelligence was now visibly throbbing. I knew how useful intelligence was so I used it. I felt a warm sensation spread in my head. Flash! Flash! Brilliant lights spread in my head like fireworks. Red, blue, green they all merged as they sprouted out like new born flowers. Then a cold liquid wrapped around my brain and soon I felt more able and Perceiving. Some of the information in Weapon mastery that used to seem simple now seemed Extremely complex. Yet that wasn't a bad thing each of these new complex and diverse actions made my sword more capable, strong and distinctive, but that wasn't all the way I read the information in my head made it seem like the inanimate images has become emotional and real. I could feel various emotions when the figure in my visions of the sword. Cold, desolate, mighty, unbreaking, steady. I could feel the emotions, but I couldn't relate to them or specifically separate them. I knew as my intelligence increased I would be able to do this so I left it for now, but something I had felt when I heard sword masters in games talk about the sword came back to me. "To be a swordman you must be emotionless and cold. I remember understanding the principal emotions could ruin someones focus and spirit, but I felt that if your sword was emotionless you could of course be Extremely sharp, but you wouldn't be a true swordman. I remember thinking that when your on the last step and your totally exhausted its emotion that moves you. I remember thinking a true Swordsman is someone who uses his emotion in his blade whether it be rage or love. This isnt just for swords, but for everything." After finishing my thoughts I look a few pieces of the armor on the ground. I quickly departed so that I could find the summoner and kill him or her as I was on two time limits.

I met small mobs here and there and leveled up.
